This is the best/most accurate Gematria cover. I knew this was gonna be fire when you started by actually doing the trills in the beginning the right speed, everyone (myself included) just do one hammer on/pull off. Magnificent, chef's kiss!
It isn't just me then😅, I dunno why but the trills kill me. Even in songs like Sarcastrophe, the 5 to 6 trill in the main riff always is kinda tricky and I get it right about 1/10 times I try😂 any tips? I'm new to guitar, only about a year but I've progressed a lot in other fields, so the fact the trills trip me up is frustrating

@@lukevimpeny4705 This is probably going to sound pretty old man of me, but I wouldn't even attempt stuff like their double trills (Sarcastrophe, The Nameless, Gematria, etc.) after only playing for a year. Learning and mastering the fundamentals will give you a great foundation to build on for more advanced stuff down the road. Just my two cents.

It's very frustrating though lol, as like I said I made so much progress in that year, like I can even play the verse or "Sulfur" pretty accurately even up to speed, so I dunno what I find easy on that and then the trills, which seem like they'd be easy (at least the half step ones) nearly kill me but thanks again✌

Nice work on the cover dude, solo and all! What did you use for the tone? any particular pedals or was it software based? :)
Thanks, all software. One guitar track I used the Nalex Gerbert, the other I used the Nalex Crunchman and blended them. Ignite Tyrant Screamer in front for a little extra push. For IRs I believe I used some Diezels for the Gerbert, and a blend of Ola Englund’s Hesu 2x12 cab and God’s Cab for the Crunchman.

Thanks, I can’t speak on AHIG since I haven’t leaned it yet, but I 100% think this is more difficult than Opium. Out of all the Slipknot songs I’ve learned, in my opinion Gematria is the most difficult.

The body shape of a guitar doesn't really mean anything, it's more the wood type, solid vs hollowbody, the pickups, etc. There's a bunch, I'm going to do a "how to sound like Slipknot for free" video soon with the plugins
