toward 1/3 of the video, the scenario is getting funnier... first they found a plant (only plant at the time) and pulled it out of the ground. Then they extremely happy to find "water" WHICH they also found a whole lot where their ship crashed.... but moving on... I'm dying to here the rest.
There's subtle difference between the fresh water and seawater - salinity can be deadly The plant - they were so thrilled over it because thusfar they believed themselves to be located on "mars with water and air" - remember that discovery about their true location and time was the pointelism. It isn't particularly good idea to stick random unknown stuff into your mouth on an unfamiliar location - arguably much more so on an alien planet. I agree that it could kinda scratch comedic žanre from the modern perspective. It didn't feel so back in the day. Personally I loved those in mine childhood. It's also politically motivated "warning" - treatment to animals and nature → as well as to ourselves (races, ethnicity, religion, politics, etc)
Wrong. Taylor didn’t land on Earth. At the end of the book, he escaped the planet, flew his spaceship out and landed back on earth. He struggles through the reflecting pool and comes upon the Lincoln Memorial. Instead of the Lincoln figure he knew, an Ape statue was there. Whether the other planet was an alternate reality or simply earth-like, it showed converging evolution that man would be replaced by ape. The remake in 2001, with Mark Wahlberg, was closer to the book.
I was ALREADY thinking; "Isn't this the plot from the ORIGINAL Planet Of The Apes!?", when I saw the video's description. The thing I never noticed before, too lost in the story, I guess, is, even the apes are speaking English! You're on another planet, in the far future, and, THEY'RE SPEAKING ENGLISH!?!
they should have brought more than 1 women with them lol the crew should have been 2 males and 2 females what did they expect to happen if they land on a different planet instead of earth ??? ...
I watched this movie for the first time around the age of 5 or 6 and it absolutely made me hate apes - every single kind and form of them - to this day. Doesn't change the fact that this movie's fame is well-deserved.
The main reason I hated this film. Because it did just what you said it did. Too bad there's so many unintelligent people out there that believe everything they watch in a dumb ass movie.
Don’t know if this helps with you getting over your hatred of Apes but the film is trying to show what it would be like if man isn’t the dominant species and is treated like we treat animals (or worse) today. In short Human beings are the species to be feared not Gorillas, Orangutans and Chimpanzees who compared to us are very peaceful and gentle creatures.
same, there's something so frustrating about this, but the fact that it can provoke this feeling on us just makes it more of a good dystopian film i just hope we don't get dumbed down so much in the near future like in the movie lol

Saw this as a kid and remember being intrigued with the differences in their backpacks.

Please upload to enjoy us. Thanks.
is that Timothy Dalton?
They had cards you could trade too!
I enjoy your videos. Thanks!
just goes to show they don't make spaceships like they used to🤣
The best plot twist, he thought he was on a different planet, turns out he was home all along
I always thought this movie would be a bit too old for me to enjoy. I'm glad I watched it anyway. Kickass film.

Not every plant can be eaten nor can every water source be drunk by humans

Never saw the book, except in comics form.

Rationalizing fiction is like requesting a padded room on the 13th floor.
not unheard of to have thunderstorms WITHOUT rain. So that shouldn't be a "Strange" phenomenon to those astronauts.
Not much Carbon Dioxide - well a total lack of it is not a GOOD thing, and neither is too much (obviously).
This movie was such a jaw dropper the first time you saw it.
Funny how the tribunal is also See no evil, Hear no Evil, Speak no Evil
"You maniacs! You blew it up! God damn you! God! Damn you all to hell!"
We’ve never heard of “scientific heresy” before….
Well ahead of it's time. No computer graphics in those days. (I saw this when released, I was 17)
Hi uncle
I think Rod Serling wrote the ending scene if I'm not mistaken.
Upload next part of the movie pls
After 3000 and some years United States flag still left the same one, has not changed at all. Wow.
As a kid I always wondered why the colonizing ship only had 4 people and only one woman.
because they needed 3/4 of work and 1/4 of food for the mission to succeed
Right it should be 2 men and 4 women. 1 smart man and woman and a dumb man with 3 dumb women.
Name of the movie
So they sent a 4 human crue on an interplanetary travel with just one woman.. damn that's bad for re-population they should have sent 2 pairs.
Childhood memories ❤❤❤

I was taken out when I saw the barber pole in the craft like it was computing something
It's getting hard to count all the movies of the franchise. There are about 10-11 now.
Beneolo happy birthday to you 👍 wonderful
Modern Western Europe is already the planet of the apes 😢
What is the name of the movie
If this is from the other planet why is there a horse😲😲
The most horrifying thing is the death of the only woman 😂😂😂
Imagine the world is destroyed, but the battery of the speaking doll still works after 2000 years.
Many did not use batteries. They had pull strings or simply turning them over would activate the voice. Yes, I'm old enough to have seen them.
Didn't have a battery, internal diaphram mechanism made it speak
I liked Charleston Heston in Flowers of Time.
Good stuff

luckily they are not cannibals I love that one🤣🤣🤣
When common sense in movies happened and the man chose to take the woman. No reason not to.
With the current educational system we're about to loose the ability to read and write... But we're able to find YT Videos 😅

"Planet of the Apes" (1968)
What’s the title of the movie
Planet of the Apes.
This is the original movie, made in 1968 and starring Charlton Heston.
Planet of the apes.
I paid to see this movie 3 times when it came out.

I really would like it if you would put some now as something that is even remotely what the recap is

The tumbler was very misleading
Astronauts can never land in any other planet because they can not leave Earth.....
a bit Campy, but I grew up on this stuff and wouldn't change a thing.
this movie is goated

why tf would you send 1 woman and 3 dudes to space? 😂😂

Every movie by tim burton in the new versions was total sh1t
So this foo time traveled dam

Gorillas, Chimpanzees and Orang Utan are apes, not monkeys.
