The Crow doesn’t even look bad it actually looks really good… The issue is it looks like a shit Crow movie. Tonally and atmospherically it just doesn’t work. If it had nothing to do with The Crow it would work.
@@brycebirkinbine4119 Spot on! I just saw the trailer and actually thought it looks like a good movie - just not a good Crow reboot movie. I do think many are also just having trouble getting past the Jared Leto's Joker look. And I said the same thing for both - I hate the look (first of all, stop encouraging people to get crappy, scratcher tattoos... but I digress), however it does not matter if they do it right. And (here comes the hate) I was not totally disappointed in Jared Leto's Joker (no it was definitely not a Heath Ledger, Jack Nicholson, or Mark Hamill level performance - not even close) and I think this Crow will be a good movie. They just should have made it a sequel or given it a subtitle to differentiate it from the original.
There is a picture/plaque at the funeral with a picture of Charles/the dad from the first movie. Makes sense. But how do you have the iconic house without the Maitlands? They better have a damn good explanation as to where those 2 are.
Chris, loveed your intro! The trailer does look good! Thanks for the reaction. You couldn't get that great smile of yours off your face. (For good reason)
I've bin low key looking forward to this for months but I didn't realise how much it meant to me until I saw this trailer and I caught myself smiling all the way through the trailer and I was so giddy afterwards
As a teaser it was awesome the purpose of a teaser is to let fans know what you love is back. When the full trailer comes we will get a real idea about what the movie really is.
If it helps your want for the movie to have a similar aesthetic to the first movie, Keaton has shared that this movie isn't going to rely so heavily on CGI and will learn more towards what they did with the first movie which I think is a pretty promising idea! Everything I've heard about making this movie has given me more and more hope and hype and I cannot wait to see this movie! Honestly, I don't expect these nostalgic sequels to be masterpieces. I know I'll still have a lot of fun watching this just to see Keaton, Catherine, and Wynona back and Jenna Ortega being included!
It''s not shot on film. It's super high-def 4K digital cameras. Second, the color grading isn't the same. It's overly saturated. I hope it's good, but it won't have the same "look".
I have heard that Burton brought back many of his old directing techniques, including practical effects and stop motion. So, even though it is shot digitally, it sounds like he is staying very true to the original's vision. I don't think I have been so (hesitantly) excited about a sequel! I pray they pull this off. Keaton is amazing though - and they had great writers - so this is one of the few that I am (again, hesitantly) optimistic about.
Totally agree with you regarding the film grain. So many movies now have this weird artifice to them without that film grain to somehow 'ground' them in reality. (Which is funny, because I imagine that's the opposite of what they're going for.)
I watched it right before I watched this video. You reacted beat for beat to my personal reaction. CRAZY! I’m super hyped now. I was worried but damn that was the perfect teaser trailer. It’s everything I wanted in a teaser. Now I just have to hold strong and not watch any further trailers. I just want to watch the movie. The teaser was spot on. ALL ABOARD !!!
All I can say is I love it, original movie i was young when released and happy to see them (most) return like Michael, Catherine, Wyona. (RIP to Glenn Shadix- Ortho) that could not be in this movie. 👍👍👍👍
To be fair I feel Michael keaton can still pull off his iconic characters, look at him as batman he is the batman and if he was in another batman movie would still pull it off so no doubt being beetlejuice again just feels special. Just imagine if Tim Burton was aloud to do a batman movie for the fans aswell as a shock twist and get Johnny depp back for a Edward scissorhands 😂🤔
I’m convinced any movie remotely mysterious or horror themed Jenna Ortega will be involved or at least considered at one point. Her and Sydney Sweeney taking over
How have you not reacted to Alien Romulus. That teaser was amazing. I hope Ripleys daughter is in it towards the end and that the facehuggers are in the zero gravity scene as i want to see how they handle it. The teaser oozed Alien aesthetic and had shots ripped straight out of Aliens. Soo excited. The only gripe is that there's a connection to covenant, Alien, and Aliens. To have 3 connections in one movie could get very convoluted This movie looks cheeky also.
To be honest man, I’m not the biggest Alien fan (I know, I know 😂) And I’m not up to date with the films, so I feel it would have been disingenuous to react to the Romulus trailer 😅
@chrisstanleyofficial love your honesty to reactions, mate. Most reactors are disingenuous by reacting to something they have already seen, so I give you big props for your honesty on all ends.
3:13 Jenna pulls off that plastic sheeting likes shes doing the Wednesday dance 🧐Hope everyone is doing well and make sure to dust off your Handbook For The Recently Deceased.
So far I haven't been impressed but I want this movie to be successful for everyone involved and for everyone who has been waiting on this sequel. I think it's too late but we'll see.
The movie will be the movie. Don’t overthink it I’m not. I’m just accepting it as it’s own thing. I loved the original and I love Keaton and yes the movie is 30 years late but hell Keaton is one hell of a performer a show is a show I’m sure he’s going to kill it in a good sense of the word he is the ghost with the most babe.
@@mr.snifty It started with the pictures released yesterday and it's been downhill ever since. And people seemed pretty impressed with the new Alien teaser.
Even as a longtime Tim Burton fan, I’ve never been a huge fan of Beetlejuice. I don’t think the original is bad by any means, but it never truly resonated with me like some of my favorite Burton’s films (Edward Scissorhands, Batman ‘89, Frankenweenie, Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure, etc.). But with that said, I’m cautiously optimistic for the sequel. I don’t have any high expectations or low expectations, so I’m in the right state of mind for it. I’m legitimately curious what Burton and Michael Keaton have in store for this one, especially given how LONG it’s been stuck in development. I’m also looking forward to Danny Elfman’s new score for the movie (Assuming he’s coming back, as well).
Alien:Romulus > Beetlejuice Beetlejuice tbh. I love the first Beetlejuice but I never saw a need for a sequel and the trailer does little more than offer memberberries
The Crow 2024: I'm back! (crickets)
Beetlejuice 2024: THE JUICE IS LOOSE! (Applause!)
Yeah, well - have you looked at the difference between the two?
The Crow doesn’t even look bad it actually looks really good…

Your joy is infectious! Looked forward to seeing your reaction to the trailer!
The end shot of Beetlejuice reminded me of Pennywise when he is hungry lol
I'm crying of happiness
It indeed is Charles Deetz's funeral, if you slow it down you can slightly see his face on the headstone
Good riddance.
36 years in the making
Always love the 80's vibe but, I miss the old intro music. 🥺

There a photo of Charles on the gravestone as the camera pans down the Coffin

I hope that’s all we get as a trailer, it’s perfect just enough making you wanting more. That’s how trailers should be.
I definitely think it’s Jeffery Jones’s character, it looks like his face on the headstone as the casket goes down.

This teaser has got me really hyped! Can’t wait!
10/10🎉
It also might be Otto character because Jeffrey Jones is still infamous for obvious reasons and the actor portraying Otto is actually deceased.
I really do love Beetlejuice expression because it let's you know that he is pissed off because of what happened in the last movie.
The movie was filmed a few hours away from me. They actually had some of the props for the movie stolen.

🤣🤣🤣Dude!!!! You need to cosplay as Beetlejuice!!!!!!
The bro looks like Denis Quaid 😂😂
It is the fathers funeral because they had to have a way to write him out of the script after what he was convicted of etc.
I am excited to see this movie! But dang 30yrs though? LOL

You seem so passionate to that world, you should talk about ghostbusters too😂❤️
Look at yesterdays video
Fantastic
Jeffrey Jones is....well...."otherwise engaged"
It's not much but this could be fun. Good colors I agree. Great camera angles and visuals. Me and the wife agree it has to be his funeral.
That intro was funny as fuck
😂

Im guessing they couldnt get Alec Baldwin back to play a ghost again because these days he turns people into ghosts instead
Hello again gorgeous
I still think they should fix the age marks on Keaton before film is out.
A total masterpiece 🪦 🦇

Agreed, it should have had some kind of film grain. Looks way too polished/clean for a Beetlejuice movie.
