Just did this today, another tip is to back up your save to cloud right before the elevator so if you mess up you can retry it instantly when you redownload your save. Funnily enough I didn’t think about this until like 10 deaths, mostly from the dragon leading up to it. There’s also a shortcut you can open right after the first bridge with the two mages.
In this particular game the cloud backup step is not necessary, you can actually just quit the game quickly (by PS menu) and when you restart the game you'll be where you were before dying. The dying animation takes ages and the game doesn't "register" your death until the very end of it.

Not true the same thing happened to me too. What i did i pressed x to go through the gate then pressed L1 and didnt let go of L1 until I walked to the top of the stairs to where king allant is. Then I let go of L1 and he wasnt agro at all. Wiped him out in 4 firestorm spells 😁😁😁
As always, great video! Still works 9/2/23. The trick is you have to go through the wall far enough before turning in. If youre having trouble and the king still agros, thats why. If you go through and dont go through to the left enough, the king will still agro. Excellent as always! Thanks for all your vids
omg I’m not sure what these other commenters are doing but I aligned myself exactly how you did and followed your advice and got it the very first try. Yes, everyone make sure you fight him first to initiate the cut scene and then come back for the glitch. Massively helped me with my ng+

@@beeb9365 So pleased u used my cheese 👌 i use this method on the bosses the 2 lurkers yet i run to either side of the stairs there is a long narrow shelf u can run to, go right to the back of it, Wait an the 1st lurkers will usually turn around and land so that it's not facing you again weapon over shoulder, thief's ring, if lurker isn't facing u walk slowly towards him use cross air on him mind and apply poison 😉 the 2nd lurkers will eventually appear , u can only target one at a time mind but if thier both standing close to each other the poison can apply on the both of them, this one's tricky tho I'll addmit cause it depends where the 2 lurkers end up and weather thier facing away from u while ur standing on the narrow long shelf by the stairs, one time i did it they both had thier backs to me but at top of the stairs lol, be patient tho and wait till they land, it's hit and miss where they both will be facing, I used this method on the massive Knight with the arches up top to 😉 thiefs ring again run in run up to the knight add poison quickly run to up one of the stairs either side, hide around corner at top of steps and wait for poison to take affect, I run around taking all the arches out while poison was doing its job, once run out walk around one of the sides where all the archers were and look where the knight is get as close as possible cross air use again and apply poison hide and wait 😉 rince and repeat this till he is no more lol, the fire boss this method works a treat on 😉 enter fog run away from him try hide behind a post exetra he will de-agro and normally turn his back on you, thief's ring and use a weapon over the shoulder to walk slowly behind him apply poison, rinse and repeat 🤣

Yes as others stated it didn’t work my first time since the cutscenes has to trigger. So I tried the thief ring/poison cloud cheese and I couldn’t get it to work so I tried this a second time and thankfully it still works and wasn’t patched out.
I need to go to ng++ to get all the spells since I messed up the correct demon soul usage while playing blind. I was stuck at ng+ Allant for a while, and it was getting pretty boring to repeat the same path every time. I guess I won’t be stuck for long 😂.
laughing here cause I'm on ng++ and still haven't acquired all the spells as I'd mucked things up 🤣 nearly got them all now yet when i was pure black tendency Allant was a dam pain 😤 I'm nearly pure white on this run so hoping to aquire the bone smasher and only cause i want the satisfaction of at least owning it and bonking a few enemy on the head with it then back to my usual weapon 🔫 lol, I'm in the swamp and Omg it's trying my patience 😤 hate this level with a passion as iv not acquired the ring that stops u fat rolling plus the dam poison ☠ happy gaming 🎮
a massive tip for King Allant..Equipped the thief's ring have an over the shoulder weapon, equipped poison cloud, Walk though fog run straight to the right hand angled corner, Wait with ur weapon over the shoulder till Allant turns around, Walk up to king Allant, use ur cross air to aimon him, Apply poison then rince and repeat applying poison till he is no more 😉

cuz you didn’t position your footing, you have to walk inside the wall and swing the stick to the right so you push yourself thru the arena but without hitting the first step after the fog gate.

Bro thank you so much I played through most of the game without too many issues except for the fire lurker got 38 hours in and this boss frustrated the living s*** out of me because of how overpowered he is he is the only one I cheesed in the whole game every other boss I decided to fight legitimately finished at level 64

I can't get it to work. It just cuts into the cut scene. I push x, then right away I push L1 and walk forward. 2 seconds go by, and then the cut scene. What am I doing wrong???
I picked this game up a month ago and doing this guy now. So I tried doing this after dying 9 times, that soulsucking ability is just absolutely unfair... Anyway, I tried this out and used poison cloud and it's working (I'm doing it now) amd I can't even believe this still works. There also was another cheese guide you did about a certain elden ring boss with a scarlet rot incantation I think it was Radahn. But dude I appreciate you you're the goat for real.

For me it didn’t work, maybe I did it wrong. But then I rememebered another glitch I saw on reddit which is this: if you have poison cloud, equip the thief ring and back up into the fog. After that, he’ll just turn back around and stop, eventually. Then, you can sneak up on him and use poison cloud.
Confirmed it works as well. I screwed up in ng+ trying to go at him solo, in turn failing and sending the world in pure black which didn't help matters. Was looking for tactical advantages against him, and found this. Figured, since I'm a pure mage build with low HP, close to lvl 130 and seeking platinum for a ring I'm missing. This can help...thnx!
@@madarayahiko yes, but only one so far. My next ring will take me a bit (foes ring) cause I had to nail Ostrava to acquire the key for old king and nab his ring, and i realized i screwed up. Lol. But, I'm pretty sure I only have one friend ring. I'll double check tonight.

This works but it should be noted that it does not work your first time facing off with him. The triggering cutscene resets its AI.

This does work. Just did it. It’s a tiny bit tricky. You will probably get stuck in the wall the first time or so but it’s not bad.

I am trying to platinum demons souls but after killing king allant in ng+ the nexus animation doesnt play, how do i get into ng+2?

There's also a method to cheese him up with the poison cloud. It's _always_ the *poison cloud.*

For me it didn’t work, maybe I did it wrong. But then I rememebered another glitch I saw on reddit which is this: if you have poison cloud, equip the thief ring and back up into the fog. After that, he’ll just turn back around and stop, eventually. Then, you can sneak up on him and use poison cloud.
I think it is patched cause I did it and when I got in the fight he fought me back
Confirmed it works as well. I screwed up in ng+ trying to go at him solo, in turn failing and sending the world in pure black which didn't help matters. Was looking for tactical advantages against him, and found this. Figured, since I'm a pure mage build with low HP, close to lvl 130 and seeking platinum for a ring I'm missing. This can help...thnx!

@@madarayahiko yes, but only one so far. My next ring will take me a bit (foes ring) cause I had to nail Ostrava to acquire the key for old king and nab his ring, and i realized i screwed up. Lol. But, I'm pretty sure I only have one friend ring. I'll double check tonight.
