What in the high school freshman writing assignment did I just watch? "That birch is daughter" Pffffft 😂 Apparently Big Daddy could see into the future
In no country is inherited property part of marital property and unless he was mentioned deliberately in the will he gets nothing as an ex-husband of his daughter.
I'm not so sure about that. I think here in Germany it is indeed inherited property part of martial property. At least in case of a divorce inherited property has to be split
If it’s inherited during the marriage and is mixed with the community property it becomes part of the marital property…. If the inheritance comes after a divorce, it is NOT marital property
Yep, it is often part of marital property & they were mentioned in the will anyway, just as part of a trap. Well written. I quite like these obviously fictional stories. It is sort of the modern equivalent of the short stories found in women's & men's magazines when I was growing up on the 1970s. A short read just long enough for a decent coffee break with a bit of a moral woven in.
@JoyPeace-ej2uv Yes. Whatever one partner brings into the marriage has to be split in case of a divorce. So,if you inherit a house, you have to split it with your partner,if you or your partner file for divorce
4:57 This doesn't even make sense. She would have found it either way while gardening the roses so how would her finding it indicate someone was making a move on his estate?
They are In total lies…I am ADDICTED listening to the crap these are putting out so I can say CRAP CRAP CRAP!!!! And I’m not in the US I’m in Ireland. But this sh1T is desperately so bad that it’s soooooo funny!
If Ex is divorced and remarried (presumably with affair partner), and the Will Reading is in the future, it sounds like OP's Dad died after the divorce, and therefore any inheritance would go to the wife except for any portion specifically naming the ex-husband. And this would be unusual. My parents did not list any in-laws (spouses of children) as beneficiaries. My husband's parents also didn't. Who does? I am also curious as to why the brother didn't get anything, he seemed to be a good son.
Goddamn op had a fun time making up this story obviously 😂 some of these are clearly fake as a mimic animal to disguise cameras in the wild, but at least they’re somewhat more subtle… couldn’t even make it through this one
I wonder what subreddit this was posted under. Because this feels a lot more like a movie plot than a real story. With all the hidden stuff, the dad's supernatural knowledge of how people are going to act... And the reading of the will. That's typically something that only happens in movies. It's a fun story but I doubt it's true
Why did she act shocked that her brother didn't cash that check....That lady already told her he took the check to their father. It's the repetition of the same dialogue that takes away from an already crazy storyline.
This story sounds like a complex and emotionally charged situation. It's important to approach these topics with empathy and understanding, as relationships can be very intricate. I hope all parties involved can find a peaceful and respectful resolution. Let's focus on constructive dialogue and avoid passing judgment too quickly. Wishing everyone involved the best!
This makes no sense her ex husband and his mistress would have no right to the inheritance in the first place. Nice fictional story you got going on here
noun: codicil; plural noun: codicils an addition or supplement that explains, modifies, or revokes a will or part of one. "Francis has remembered him in a codicil to this will
I was interested in the story but then odd things started showing up. Some of the things the detective told them was things they wouldn't normally tell people. Also possessing 'evidence' that was found in the criminals house, how did they get their hands on the journal when it was something the police found?
Someone had fun with this creative writing project, but this is NOT sound estate planning. As several commenters pointed out, the default is for inheritance to be excluded from marital property, even if they were still married, and they are already divorced. Her ex would have no claim on his estate without the father explicitly including him, and no court would find it strange if, following his daughter’s divorce, he changed his will to exclude his former son in law. However, by playing these games the decedent has run the risk that former son in law need only challenge the recent codicil and inherit a substantial sum. This is incredibly bad lawyering and I would absolutely never agree to draft it - I would explain the dangers of such a “strategy” to my client and strongly advise against it, and if they insisted on it I would withdraw as their counsel because I absolutely could not in good conscience set them up for such a potential disaster. Further, the attorney meeting with the daughter ahead of the reading of the will and disclosing all of this is entirely inappropriate.
People that try to scam others out of something that wasn't theirs in the first place they got what was coming to them in the end. And the family is safe from scammers like these asshats Karma is a bitch.
They say all good things come to those who wait. Your father was a wise man and knew that after he was gone, you would know what to do with what he left. He was protecting you with all the information he left. And left a legacy with all those words of wisdom for you to continue on in life and look after what he left you with care. And he was right. Do not let your heart harden their are good people out there. Not everyone is bad and you will find that someone one day.
This feels more like a movie script or like a creative writing piece than something that was real.
These stories are fictional not real
You know it is fake but still better than most of the other fake ones for once.
These aren't real, you realize that, right?
You’d be surprised how stupid some people are. Some think they are entitled to money.
@@dparks68 You do realize people don’t know that cause a lot of Reddit stories do be real

Real wealthy (rich) do this to maintain wealth stays in the family generations to come 😅
Listening to this story made me "walk to the window and contemplate life." Hahahaha
Better than the time a story made me realise the value of 'yeling' .
@Lordofthedorks lol 🤦🏻♀️. Ps..love your name lol

K-Drama’s director would be like: Write that down! Write that down! Especially the ‘that birch is my daughter’ part!
How they think they can get op to loose her own inheritance from her own dad is crazy
Why would the wife of an ex-husband even think that they would get an inheritance? Stupid.
This one definitely had a beginning, middle and ending.
4:57 This doesn't even make sense. She would have found it either way while gardening the roses so how would her finding it indicate someone was making a move on his estate?
This cant be real how can a ex son in wife expect to inherit from who she is not even even related to

Holy that dad is always 10 step’s ahead
This is the best story I’ve listened to so far!!! The twist and turns just about gave me whiplash😂😂✌️
Dang!! That story was awesome!! Felt like a watching a full length movie rather than a short story lol

This has to be from a book.
Interesting story. Sounds like the plot to a potential Lifetime movie.

This story doesn’t make any sense. How’s the mistress is going to get the ex father-in-law’s money
Dad had a lot of hiding places.
I forgot to add😊 the real super hero the dad. Live this kind of dad.
Lifetime movie material right here
Why would an ex son-in-law and new new wife think they're entitled to anything thats cra,zy
I mean...he didnt Isaiah, his son anything. Just "a small trust". Brutal
Right and he was the one who helped create the case that's so messed up lol

Sounds like an entirely made up load of crap to me
Elena played smart, not emotional, and won big.
Actually white roses are for mourning. They are planted in remembrance.
tell me again why the heck the inheritance split to daughter n ex husband?
There is no such thing as gathering to read the will. That is done for dramatic effect in movies. This stories with camera crews and everything.... 😂😂
Really good. No unwanted repeatation.
Idgaf about this story i do give a #### that this guy is missing all the coins when he gets the jetpack
No jury at a preliminary hearing.
What about Isaiah he is her brother he was not mentioned in the will.
Yeah, I think he was it says something about a trust fund
If he's your ex husband he doesn't have a claim is she delusional she obviously is
Cool story, but I refuse to believe this was posted on Reddit lmao
My Father just passed 1yr. 4 mos. ago. This hit me hard. ❤

They should use this for a CSI episode
Why would they include her ex husband in the will????????
The women's names get mixed up.
Hey, there's no need to insult sharks now!
Pretty good movie if you fix the dialogue
The name of the story must be my father rose garden
Bro thinks they are in an anime
What about her brother?

So Isaiah didn't receive anything from his father in the will? Isaiah wouldn't have the journal, it would have been logged in as evidence
