My former 1988 sandy springs Georgia flat mate, Door man at NHL Great Tim Ecclestone's sports Rock Cafe and wingman. Eddie Wright passed away yesterday after battling COVID and related effects on his heart and respiratory system. Our friend , mentor and partner in crime. rest in peace!
A nice snapshot of a fellow traveler now departed after planting some legaseeds (legacy seeds). Thanks for time well spent, Ede. Wanted to ask about your guitar. Anyone know about it? Keeping him alive digitally
Earthbound Gravity-Abbadon-OMG!!!!!!!🙈 Everybody check out his album! Ede, your awesome nuff respect. My axe fx is in the mail and I would love to have that Jazz lead tone, any info on amps, cabs & the envelope filter would be greatly appreciated! I converted the 6 songs from the 10/8/2012 Ede Wright Trio @ Elliot St. to MP3 and trying to learn them in Anytune. Can you please let me know the names? Love the Matador and Changes covers too.

Greetings from Bolivia! I just bought my axe fx and i have some problems with the connection to a loop return from my valve combo amp... IT SOUND'S BAD! :'( Please how Ed's using the axe fx, i mean he's using a matrix with a matrix power amp and a furman power conditioner with a cab? Sorry for my bad english and thanks
Angel Martinez I've never used an Axe FX before, but I've heard many great things about them. If you are considering picking one up the new Fractal AX8 is coming out. Basically an Axe FX 2 but no dual amps/cabs for $1399. I've used BIAS quite a few times before, but my main use for it was a tonematch I made of as bass pedal (Darkglass B7K).
+Mason Stanley I don't mean to root for the other team but you can get a Kemper for like $1600 on ebay or less and it's more accurate to the real amps.
The clean part was really amazing. Exquisite fusion playing. I didn't dig the tones following and I didn't like his style on the most distorted setting but man, is this guy amazing or what?!
Mr. Neptune Blue Agreed, he doesn't really seem at home with the high gain metal stuff (from this video at least) but man...that clean playing is masterful
liheng89 He was just quoting some Sabbath there; looked like he was having fun. Stellar player, and I think the Axe FX sounds great here. The video actually makes me want to track down more of his work.
Translation: you're tired of being reminded of how lazy/uninspired/unaccomplished you are, then you express those insecurities by writing off perfectly-valid, soulful playing that happens to be on the faster side as "people showing how fast they are". What if I told you all music has meaning, whether it's a 13-year-old playing high-gain sweep-picked arpeggio routines at guitar center or goddamn John Coltrane.
I know this is an old comment, but no headstock means less weight, more balance and a cool modern look. I'm using a headless 8 string strandberg too, it really is an insane instrument to play Have you seen the Endurneck on these strandbergs? It's like a vein on Megatron's dick
Velhos Novos Five years from now, when a new amp is released that everybody wants, AxeFx II owners will already have it. Same for any new speaker cab that comes along. When you own this equipment, you own (practically) every amp and speaker cab that was ever made plus any amp and speaker cab that ever WILL be made in the future.

RIP brother .. thinking of you
love you Ede
I'm incredibly ashamed that I have never heard of this guy until just now. Absolutely incredible musician and guitar player. Good lord...
Ede, your playing and sounds are incredible. Do you share your patches? Cheers, Frank
Every Axe-Fx comes with a complimentary hat of the fanciest variety.
He taught Tosin?...
It all makes sense now! :D
a tip: watch movies at Kaldrostream. Me and my gf have been using them for watching loads of movies these days.
@Kayson Victor Yup, been using kaldroStream for months myself :)

His clean washy patch is probably the most beautiful clean I've ever heard.
Is there any way of knowing what goes into that patch?
Damn.... Eddie you are a badass! Does he have a TH-cam with lessons available, and are these presets available on the Patch Exchange?
Thank John W! I feel the same way!

Ede Wright rocks!
Awesome, Keep it up man!!!
Yes... !! Clean tones!!!
What is the song that he starts playing at 1:44 ?
+Jason Sawka, it's The Matador by Grant Green. I'm taking lessons from Ede and this is one of the tunes we've worked on.

Blew me away Ede

MrGuy9595 Changes by Black Sabbath
Yer too cool.
Thank you.
HI great guitar? What kind of guitar is that? 8 strings. Who makes it?
+Angel Martinez .strandberg* Boden 8, made in the Washburn Custom Shop (but now they are moving the Washburn series to Sweden)
Hi, thanks for responding. Have you ever used the Axe-FX? I use something called BIAS by Positive Grid. Thanks again.
Angel Martinez I've never used an Axe FX before, but I've heard many great things about them.

The guy can play, but I'm so tired of people showing how fast they are. I need help in setting up my II XL.
I am so with you. Speed playing versus actual music. That wasn't music (to me).

oh good god. all music has meaning... All girls are hot. mega eye roll
1:43 - love.
🤙
wow!!!!!!
1:44 Cool as fuck
Phenominal player. Why would you not want a headstock tho??
I know this is an old comment, but no headstock means less weight, more balance and a cool modern look. I'm using a headless 8 string strandberg too, it really is an insane instrument to play
Have you seen the Endurneck on these strandbergs? It's like a vein on Megatron's dick
tosin has a jazzy cousin?
Where's the feeling? Zero👈🏻 heart. Listen to Alex Hutchings, he'll show you how.
I'm not feeling his metal
I'm not feeling Black Sabbath's metal*
Ok Ed , yeah you can play fast, so what! Can you play with feeling, soul ?
2.22
you might want to have little look around dude.
Because playing fast can't be synonymous with feeling / soul?
Dude, nigga stole half your guitar.
fantastic playing----------------------------- but really no way this can compare to a tube amp the feel and feedback as lets say a be100--
$2,499.95 for this??? sorry!
Velhos Novos Sorry for you.
just my opinion! sorry for you! regards!
Have you tried one? Any tone you will ever need at your fingertips.
I go along with you! But I am not saying that this equipment is bad, I am just saying that I dont see necessity of buying it. Have you got it?
