@@CarlD70 For what it's worth, I went to the Hotel Cafe website and in the F.A.Q. section they say they used to serve food but not anymore. But if you've seen a current menu then I don't know what's going on, lol.

She just showcased the audience her vocal abilities effortlessly! Angelina stated in a recent interview in Norway that new material will be coming out in September and more concerts are upcoming! It is likely that Toby co-wrote the song, but Angelina exudes grit and passion that is written on her face, and expressed in her vocals. It is she who brings this masterpiece to life! Angelina wrote new lyrics for two famous songs by Amy Winehouse, "Back to Black" and "Rehab" since it was inappropriate for a preteen to sing the original lyrics. For "Back to Black" Angelina wrote the new lyrics in the 24 hours prior to the recording, then needed just two takes.

Great reaction Cliff! One of those rare times where she had to wear shoes at an event due to the venues rules/safety concerns. The other was at Le Bal in Paris, France where she was a debutante and performer as well. Angelina just killed this song! She just gets better and better! Now, for those who keep saying that Angelina could not be barefoot due to health codes...
This has nothing to do with health code violations or laws. As someone whose family owned a restaurant for man years and have many friends in the food and beverage service business, there are no local, state, or federal laws in regards for someone being barefoot. NONE. State health department codes in the U.S. do not regulate customer footwear. This includes federal or state laws that would require customers to wear shoes in businesses or other public places. However, most private businesses may not allow customers to enter without footwear. There are these rules/laws that must be followed:
Refusing service
Business owners can refuse service to customers for legitimate reasons, such as if they are disruptive, violate rules, or create an unsafe environment. However, the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits restaurants from refusing service based on race, color, religion, or national origin.
Health regulations
Food establishments must comply with local health department regulations, including proper storage and handling procedures for different types of food. Many state health codes also require food service managers and employees to pass a food handling course.
The venue was more than likely enforcing their own rules in this situation as well as a safety precaution due to the small stage and the various things that were on the stage/ground. Also, after doing a little research, The Hotel Cafe does have a bar and serves alcohol. They do not serve food, however, they do allow outdoor food to be brought in. So, food and drinks are in the venue.....
Thanks for this rw! I hope more people read it as it is spot on! Just like in the 70s, it was businesses and not any Federal or State health code that led to the "No shirt, no shoes, no service" signs to keep, as the song goes (Signs), the "long-haired, freaky people" out of their businesses.

Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman.
Angelina started singing around 18 months of age, after listening to Whitney Houston on TH-cam. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz.
Mery Zamani is Iranian and was a prodigy as an artist and poet while growing up in Iran. Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where starting around age 4, she had training in music but no vocal training. Her teachers were smart enough to not attempt to change what she was doing vocally. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage.
Why Angelina always performs barefoot At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate.
At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. PLEASE PURCHASE Angelina’s book from her merchandise store on her official website, angelinajordanofficial Angelina, at age 6 and 7, did record a few songs in a recording studio at her school, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 7 year old. At age 7, Angelina’s audition on Norway’s Got Talent, was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried. Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition and was not performed in front of an audience. In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them. In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists. When asked what she would like to do with the prize money she won (500,000 kroner or about $80,000), Angelina replied, “I want to give it to the poor children”. Angelina had become a star in her native Norway and her videos on TH-cam went viral. She gave a few concerts during the summer of 2014 while 8 years old. In December 2014, Angelina realized a life-long desire to sing at the Save the Children's Peace Prize Celebration which is part of the Noble Peace Prize celebration. Angelina’s family took her to United States, Brazil, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Russia, South Korea, Singapore among other corners of Earth, to perform for heads of state and to help raise money for charity. All before Angelina turned 14. At age 9, Angelina recorded a music video covering the 1956 Jay Hawkin’s classic, “I Put a Spell On You”. The video begins by showing Angelina writing her “wishes” for how she wants to perform the song. Angelina has always created her own arrangements for her cover songs. Many angels (fans) believe this is one of Angelina’s best performances. When Angelina was 11, she performed a number of concerts in Norway with a jazz/rock band. Those concerts included up to 14 songs, each remarkably performed. Angelina seems to be at her best when on stage, never nervous, only 100% confident. Also at age 11, Angelina recorded her “It’s Magic” album which has, at times, been in the top 10 best selling jazz albums. On June 27, 2018, at age 12, Jordan performed Frank Sinatra “Fly Me to the Moon” for Quincy Jones in The O2 Arena in London. She has said that was the high point of her young career which was already in it’s 6th year. During 2018, Angelina lost her paternal grandfather, her friend Avicii and one of her idols, Aretha Franklin. She did a moving tribute for each. In 2019, Angelina accepted an invitation to compete in the 2nd season of America’s Got Talent (AGT), The Champions. She had, since age 3, wanted to perform for Simon Cowell and she earned his praise with her genius arrangement of “Bohemian Rhapsody”. The surviving members of Queen loved it so much they put a link to it on their Twitter. Angelina was eliminated after covering Elton John’s “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”. Angelina’s family refused to sign any agreement with AGT. Angelina, before age 14, had covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, spanning at least 8 genres, all of which are available on TH-cam. Angelina has always made changes to each song she covers and often her version is preferred over the original. On TH-cam, search on The Complete Works of Angelina Jordan as Rusty Shackleford has put all songs in one file and has a complete playlist in the description of that video. The pandemic hit shortly after her performances on AGT and likely caused a change of plans by her family, most notably her Uncle Michael who is her manager. Her family agreed to a contract with Republic Records in August 2020. Republic Records declared Angelina Jordan their highest priority new artist. Reportedly her family requested Republic to allow her as normal a childhood as possible and therefore have yet to fully promote her. During the pandemic, Angelina was often seen buying meals for the homeless on the streets of Los Angeles. In November 2020, Angelina released “Million Miles” which she wrote after the passing of her beloved maternal grandfather. She dedicated the song to anyone who has ever lost a loved one. Angelina had previously released, 3 other original songs: “What is Life”, “Oslo” and “Shield” In April 2021, her original “7th Heaven” was released. A jazzy, danceable, inspiring song. Angelina has posted numerous short performances on Tik Tok and Instagram. Angelina had concerts in Norway in July 2022. In December 2022, Angelina performed at the Asian American Awards in Los Angeles. On 2/27/23, Angelina performed at the FIFA Awards ceremony in Paris, France, with a viewing audience in the millions. On May 5th, 2023, Angelina released her original "Love Don't Let Me Go". On July 23th she released her orginal EP “Old Enough”.
Angelina perform Concert at the Music Hall in Portsmouth New Hampshire on Sept 22nd, 2023. It Was a great concert, who was not and could regret it, a big mistake. On 10/27/23 she released her new orginal singiel “Our Time”. In November 2023, she was presented as a debutante at Le Bal des débutantes in Paris. On 12/08/23 she released new Marry Christmas EP “Driving Home for Christmas”. On 12/10/23 she sing in Oslo at the Nobel Peace Prize Celebration - Unchained Melody tribute to 2023 Nobel Peace Prize laureate Iranian human rights activist Narges Mohammadi. On february 29, 2024 she had two concerts in Las Vegas, Nevada,on the Elvis stage.
On May 16, 2024, the first fruits of Angelina's cooperation with Tobi Gad were released. This German composer and record producer based in Los Angeles invited Angeline to an intimate concert at the Hotel Cafe JESSE & FRIENDS, the same one where Adel sang and was discovered. Tobi then took Angelina to London, where she performed His song If I Were A Boy at the London Palladium, and they recorded two versions of the song, Live At Saint James Church, and another studio version illustrated with a film from the streets of London. It seems that Tobi has started cooperation with Angelina and there are several joint songs in the pipeline. At the May concert in Los Angeles, one of them was presented: BAD VALENTINE.

This song is apparently one of 8 songs that Toby and Angelina worked on and recorded prior to the release of her Old Enough EP. This was revealed in an interview with Toby that James Theil posted on his channel a few days ago and was also discussed on Big Angie Fan’s channel. James says that Toby confirmed that Bec Valentine was one of the 8.
Toby was very surprised and disheartened when none of the songs they worked on were on the EP despite Republic Records being very excited about them. It could be that there wasn’t any room for them when an EP was released instead of a full album. At release, Angelina said that she chose the songs for the EP so maybe it was her decision not to include the other songs at this time.
What this interview reveals is that Toby and Angelina worked together long before Toby’s Piano Diaries project. I think we were all surprised by that.
Toby says in this video that Bad Valentine will be released in “a few months” (this was back in May) and Angelina mentioned in a recent interview that new music is coming out probably in September. No details. An album? Another EP? Singles? Some of the songs she recorded with Toby? We shall see.

Practically no one gets this song. It’s a follow up to Now I’m the Fool, two songs about the same unrequited love from opposite points of view. Her ex is the Bad Valentine, not Jordan, as everyone assumes because she’s singing the song. It’s evident when he says, I thought I told you I would mess up girl, I warned you right from the start!
That’s one interpretation. I don’t think anybody will know for sure until Angelina explains it. Even then, some of her song explanations are a little vague.
I think most people hear her say “your heart” not “girl”. Others hear “your head”. Early captioning on the song said “yeah”. To me I hear heart even when I try to hear other words. I hear a definite “ar” sound with consonants dropped like the last “t” in start in the following line. I don’t hear head, girl or yeah

When I first heard it I thought it was "I told you I would mess up girl" as well and that it was from the POV of the guy. But after listening to the rest of the lyrics I interpreted it as coming from Angelina instead. The singer says it's "time to let the flowers die", and it's usually the woman who receives the flowers. Also, "So I spent my night with the moon" seems more likely coming from a woman than a man.
I know I'm in the minority, but I still hear "girl" and now think it may be "I told you I'm a messed up girl". Probably wrong but I like those lyrics better 🙃 Hopefully we'll find out the truth soon.
