  • How to create Apparel Photography with a Ghost Mannequin effect is a frequent question we get at Iconasys. This video explains the workflow we use to photograph, edit and output Apparel Photography on Ghost Mannequin using our LED Studio Lighting Kit and Shutter Stream Product Photography Software.
    In just seconds, users are able to create professional quality Apparel Photography on a Ghost Mannequin, no experience required.
    The process includes:
    Image Composition: Compose mannequin image a large real time preview on the monitor screen
    Pre-Crop: Crop Images prior to capture then after Snap, the crop will be auto applied to the mannequin image
    Automated Image Capture: Capture images through mouse clicks using the Shutter Stream Product Photography Software
    Automated Image Upload: Images are automatically sent from camera to the Shutter Stream Software for viewing, editing and processing.
    Editing: First we use the Magic Wand tool to batch process background removal of the mannequin and shirt from the frame. Next, we use the lasso cut out tool to manually cut and remove the mannequin from the frame
    Output: We use Batch Save tool to batch rename, resize and output (can output in various different formats including JPG, PNG, TIFF or RAW format).
    Whether shooting apparel photography on live models, flat lay down or on mannequins (including apparel ghost mannequin photography), Iconasys has imaging solutions that will optimize in-house studio photography workflows. Where did the chest / neck go from the mannequin? IS that type of mannequin you can get? haha that's confusing to me

    • @iconasys
      @iconasys  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for reaching out Lexi! Correct, this type of mannequin (called a ghost mannequin or invisible mannequin) has removeable parts (ex. neck, arms, shoulders, chest etc..) and is often used for apparel photography. We had purchased this mannequin from: www.roxydisplayinc.com/

    IS THERE A WAY TO AUTOMATE TISSAY IF YOU HAVE OVER 200 PRODUCTS

    • @iconasys
      @iconasys  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Its really all dependent on the mannequin you are shooting with. For example, you might be able to automate the entire process if using a clear acrylic mannequin. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at: contact@iconasys.com. Thank you!

    good software but expensive. still it would be ok but you only allow to upgrade for 1 year. upgrade should be for lifetime.

    • @iconasys
      @iconasys  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the comment Arif! We appreciate your feedback. The software purchase is for a perpetual license - meaning there is no mandatory recurring fees unless a user decides to upgrade. The software improvements and enhancements do cost us money (we have our full time development team on staff) and the optional software upgrade fee helps us cover these internal costs.

    Which backdrop material you've used?

    • @iconasys
      @iconasys  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for reaching out. The material is white paper! We do include backdrops with our LED Studio Lighting Kits (additional info here: www.iconasys.com/product-photography-lighting/led-studio-lighting-kits/)
      Saying that, tne most important part here is the lighting - using a high key technique to blow out the background.

    Wow what a fantastic video thank you. I have a question, probably a stupid one, how do you connect your camera to your laptop? I love the live shoot capability, so useful for beginners like myself

    • @iconasys
      @iconasys  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hi David, thanks for reaching out! Thats a great question! The camera connects to laptop via USB - and for the software, we use a program called Shutter Stream Product Photography Software. Additional info on this software ca be found here:www.iconasys.com/product-photography-software/

    Is this software available for iPhone's ?

    • @iconasys
      @iconasys  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for the comment Raven! The software can integrate with iPhone and Android phones the same way it does with the Canon camera in this video. Meaning you will place your smartphone on a tripod and control image capture via desktop (wireless connection from computer to your phone camera). As soon as an image is captured, it is uploaded to the computer - into the shutter stream software for image editing, processing and output. If any follow up questions, please email us at: contact (at) iconasys.com

      Iconasys Hey, would you recommend using green screens at all, for example if you are shooting a white t shirt?
