Yeah, you can believe someone would name a Cat Mr Tinkles and you understand how irritated he is to have that name. Kitty Galore is Nothing more than a bad James Bond Pun. It's not automatically funny to make a reference to another film.
If there is going to be a sequel, then it's come really late! C&D 1 is a 2001 film so there'd be a 8 year gap! I don't think many people will remember the first one. Also, it would be aimed at kids 6-11, so they would probably not remember the first one at all! btw, this is the alt. ending found on the DVD
That is definately a better ending.It would have been fantastic.Having said that the ending in the movie was funny as well.One of the funniest films I've ever seen.The sequel was ok but this is the best. God bless cats : )
I wish sometimes, now looking at this for the first time, I think, this could've been the proper end for the movie, as apposed to the one we ended up getting.
There should have been another alternative ending where the cats win and the dogs get cast out by humans leaving Mr. Tinkles getting full power of the world.
The only reason I can think of is because they knew or were leaning toward not having Mr. Tinkles as the main villain in the sequel. Which if I had to guess, I would say that's probably what the plan originally was. I was always confused why the title of the second one was "Revenge of Kitty Galore" when we had never been introduced to Kitty Galore before. Usually those titles only make sense when it's a previously introduced character. I would guess what they originally had planned was to call it "Revenge of Mr. Tinkles" or something but then just scrapped it (along with this scene) and just inserted "Kitty Galore" in the title intead.

Probably because if you look at the cats and the dogs in this scene, the Fact that they really don't have s clue what is going on Really shows. You can't take them seriously as attacking the woman when they're running the other way.

That ending did seem a little freaky. What exactly did the cats do to the lady? Kill her? Pretty dark for a kids movie.
They kill her and eat her alive because in the end Mr. Tinkles laughs in the end and that's they kill her.
