We try Iceland own brand Crispy Pancakes from their £1 range. The box contains 4. At 25p each are they any good, we try them in this video. #iceland #foodvlogs #shaneandlisa
5% is a little light for sure. We reviewed a chicken soup before with 2%. A proper slice of toast nice and charred with lashings of butter yum yum. Wishing you a great weekend, Shane and Lisa xx
Hi Ashleigh, we did try another with some tatties veg and gravy. The outcome was the same, Lisa = Tea, Shane = Snack haha. Wishing you a great evening, Shane and Lisa xx
@colinblackshaw971 in anticipation we let these cool a little haha plus the time to take one apart for the camera helped haha. Hope you're having a good start to the week Colin. Wishing you a relaxing evening, Shane and Lisa xx
I would class them as a snack. Purely on the basis that there is nothing to them filling wise. I used to buy the Findus ones when i lived in Yorkshire and used to buy them from a place called Farm Foods which was like an icelands but better. Ive not had them for over 15 years. Now i know how much meat they dont have im not sure if i would buy them. The gravy or what ever it was supposed to be looked like goo. If the findus ones had horse meat it would explain why they tasted soooo good. Hope you both have a great day
Imagine the true advertising, 5% meat in goo... cannot see them flying off the shelves with that printed on the box. Didn't see any publicity on the Crispy Pancakes but the Lasagne was certainly in the news for the mentioned equine shenanigans. We were trying to recall whether the original Findus ones had more filling, you know it was so long ago its hard to say. Going well, another video in the bag today so all ok. Hope you're progressing well on the car front with the delivery of the tooling. Best Wishes, Shane and Lisa xx
@@ShaneAndLisa The original definately had more filling in them. Also if i remember they were hot to eat too. th-cam.com/video/KFXQZVGpJN8/w-d-xo.html thats the 80's advert which was like the 70's th-cam.com/video/StQE9Y16mqg/w-d-xo.html but you saying about the horse meat scandle i found Findus best ever advert also th-cam.com/video/MkH5P2evbFk/w-d-xo.html
That's an excellent set of links. Most interesting is the 70's advert was fruit fillings... I'm wondering if the product originally started as a dessert... That last one haha... someone had a good sense of humour making that.
@@ShaneAndLisa The 70's one is new to me because although they were originally savory i had never had them but as i just found out the advert was narrated by the famous Orson Wells. The Horse advert i actually remember that being on tv but i dont know if it was as an advert or shown on a show. For some reason i am sure that Findus Crispy Pancakes are availiable again after their long years of absence. Bit like the turkey twislers that i found out actually taste horrible lol. I have no clue where i saw the findus ones unless i drempt it but im going to hunt them down now lol
We shall add this to our list and will put a review on the channel. We have had a quick look and seems Morrisons and Asda sell the item so expected next week for a review here. Wishing you a great afternoon, Shane and Lisa :)
Im going to go out on a limb here and assume you have not tried them. The only issue i had with them was the cooking times as some needed longer than others and you had to guess what chicken pieces were what.
We've not tried them but will give them a go next week. For some reason first thought the SFC brand was what Home Bargains sold but google suggests morrisons and asda so will give them a try first. Noted re the cooking time, is there a big difference in the piece sizes?
@@ShaneAndLisa Tescos sold them too. With the boneless bucket you get Chicken Dippers, Chicken Strips and Chicken Poppets. The strips take 20 minutes to cook and dippers 12 minutes with poppets 10 minutes. It also claims on the bucket " The Original since 1972" despite kfc being created 42 years prior lol. But i think you will like them
Hi Susan, there did appear to be some creative editing on the photo, not too bad though, we've had worse haha. Wishing you a great afternoon, Shane and Lisa xx
@GeorgeHuggins94 We are all good George... however don't forget we've a few of these meals on the chalkboard so probably used to some of the unusual ingredients inside haha. BTW the Wings video is on tomorrow (wednesday) 16:00, we also dropped a link in the shopping haul video under your comment so you can watch it early. Wishing you a great afternoon, Shane and Lisa :)
HAHA I Brrought these yesterday on your iceland shop vid..I hope they are good if not my dogs will love em.fingers x.Update SNACK....Will serve mine with a mince dinner..
Hi Andy, They're not too bad in all fairness. 5% meat, 25p low expectations for the price. Lisa = Meal, Shane = Snack. Hope you're having a good start to your week, Shane and Lisa :)
Only 25p each. A waste of 25p. How can they get away with 5% meat. I'd rather have a slice of toast

Sorry I’m with Shane. That wouldn’t fill you up at all. #TeamSnack ☺️

Yukky looking filling. Pass! 😅 Snack only , not for a meal.😊
