Maybe it's because they also have more hip hop elements to their sound. 2NE1, 4Minute and EXID are the only popular girl groups with a strong hip hop influence infused with pop. And all 3 of these groups write their own songs too.

LE is the backbone of EXID's sound. Solji is the competent leader who paves the way with her guidance and amazing vocal range.. Hani is the rose, the visual, and the smoothness of EXID. Jeounghwa is the dancer and also the visual and her voice is light as a feather. Hyelin is the comic and the sweetness of EXID, with the voice of an Angel and eyes that look like anime.
