I’m glad there’s other videos out there to show how to put it back together bro?! And during the taking it apart you got a put some light on it and get your hands out of the way. Not interested in hand modeling just well lit detailed instructions. Video seems to be more about product placement product naming and music. Oh brother
Need a better angle n more specific descriptions for those of us that have never disassembled and reassembled before. This video isn’t for beginners which is the whole point of having a tutorial video to begin with
Could have slowed the breaking down of the weapon and with a closer view of the extraction pins and trigger mechanism being disassembled as well as when reassembling. Young children watch this as well as adults.
Agree. I had to use another video to put it back together. Also pissed off that I bought their 19 dollar shotgun cleaning kit and it doesn't come with a wire brush.
Not enough detail. "Wipe down the high friction areas with oil." I'm a newbie. What are the high friction areas? Why do you go straight to oil? Do they not need to be scrubbed with solvent? Disassembly and especially reassembly way too fast.
Was in my grandfathers basement and I came across a Hoppes universal shotgun cleaning kit from the mid 80s to early 90s gave it to me for my mossburg 500
QUESTION: The Materials Safety Data Sheet for Hoppe's No. 9 shows the cleaner consists principally of Kerosene and Alcohol (Ethanol and Methanol.) So, the question is... Why does Hoppe charge so much for a few ounces of the cleaner? And why can't I just use Kerosene + Alcohol to do the same thing?
Best part about the 500 is that you only have to clean it once every 5 years lmao, not really but these shotguns are absolute tanks for reliability. I have a 20ga 500CR from 1974 that runs perfect every time and I barely clean it
I think your presentation assumes your audience knows how to disassemble the shotgun- I don’t, so the quick way you did it with no close up to actually see each piece and how it’s removed leaves me unable to replicate.
Hi everyone, comment that has nothing to do with the Mossberg 500 smoothbore 41 cm (16.1417 inch) it is good in precision and practical range with buckshot 12 or 9 pellets of the slug? thank you for your response, it's been a long time since I'm looking for the answer but I can't find anything.
Let's all start dry firing our shot guns with snap caps and see how long it takes for the firing pin to shatter.... people never dry fire a gun without a snap cap dummy shell or in a pinch use an already spent shot shell (already previously shot shell or empty shell).

Separate video
I agree. It was a poor demo of cleaning a 500.
I agree also. I'd add the music was annoying
terrible music and too loud

I actually need to look up a different video just to figure out how to put my gun back together.
Same bro.
Yesterday I bought my very first gun and it's a mossberg 500 12 gauge pump action
Not enough detail. "Wipe down the high friction areas with oil." I'm a newbie. What are the high friction areas? Why do you go straight to oil? Do they not need to be scrubbed with solvent? Disassembly and especially reassembly way too fast.
Great video. Love your products. Hoppe's was a big part of my childhood and now my son uses Hoppe's
Really hard to see what he's doing.
I’m 24 years old, Just bought my first gun this weekend. Got a mossberg 500
Was in my grandfathers basement and I came across a Hoppes universal shotgun cleaning kit from the mid 80s to early 90s gave it to me for my mossburg 500
I really appreciate the video but you lack detail ,after this video I'm plan on watching a much more detailed video
Thanks for the video, I've been needing to clean my 500a , just didn't know how too ,very new with shotguns !
I’m glad I cleaned my nanas mossburg bc she’s had it longer than I’ve been alive and never cleaned it
I like that silicone cloth, makes a 300 dollar gun look like a museum piece.
Leaving out the reassembly was a big oversight considering you didn't explain how any of the pieces line up when you took it apart.
I've got a Mossberg 500 Retrograde. Do these instructions change much at all?
Almost impossible to see what he is doing. He assumes we all know what each component is... Needs to slow down because it really lacks detail..

Lots of us muzzleloader guys use windex to clean our rifles.
You can realistically use anything that wont eat the gun

Mine is justice thus except there's no bolt at the end to release the barrel. It's an old one from the 60s. It was my grandpa's.
Thank you brother
Theres no cleaning of the firing pin or solvent used? Just clean the barrell and lube everything?

Maybe for the updated video you can have the camera back another 25 feet or so.
absolutely hopeless video. Arms are in the way. He should remove it.
What about cleaning the magazine tube?
You really shouldn't need to do that very often
Next time better close up camera angle.
need a better tutorial. Please explain further during each step
Really nice video, but the operation is rather complicated
When i see that, i love my 870.
Why are you smothering it in oil?
The only actual cleaning in this video is the barrel.
Nothing about the other parts that get powder and dirt build up.
You forgot to clean the other parts with hoppes solvent you just add oil to it.

And to think I thought my ‘73 Marlin 336 was challenging to take apart to clean...
The most important thing I learned here is that "Hoppe's" is pronounced "Hoppy's" instead of "Hop's."
Save the background music and give me a closer view dude! Lol I need to clean this damn gun. Thanks
Up close shot would be great. Vid not bad but not great for a rookie.
I can smell the gun oil lol. It’s like wd40 mixed with model glue
'MERICA!
Can't see what you're doing and how to take those parts out and back in. Terrible tutorial.
Can’t see anything
You give very little instruction on how to take it apart and the give no instructions on how to put it back together.
Hey Bryan, if you need further assistance we would recommend checking with your firearm manufacture. Thanks
@@Hoppesguncare If you recommend seeing the manufacturer, do not post videos on how to do it.
Your camera angle isn't good for the beginner. I took my gun apart but now can't get it back together.
Everything is going in fast forward which ruins the purpose of the video.
Really disappointed. This videos assumes the gun owner knows everything about their gun. It was not thinking of brand new gun owners. :(
very poor angle for this video
What a joke. This guy doesn't let you see what he is actually doing...
Great job at showing nothing
unable to see what you are doing period.
