    I've glued my road wheels together before but they didn't stay in alignment so I quit doing it, but seeing how you use the small ball of putty in there is a great idea and I will give it a try on my next build. Thanks for sharing!

    • @Tankbrusher

      I did this now on six vehicles, no problems so far. Can recommend doing so. On tigers only the inner layers of wheels are in need of putty, the outer two will stay in place.

    Hello Mr. Tankbrusher! (it's Kai, correct? ...I always forget names) Another excellent video.
    I personally always chip with a short brush...I find it is much easier. How long did you wait between spraying the white and chipping it? I try to chip within about 5-10 minutes so make chipping easier as well.
    I think your neutral wash over the zimmerit is a good idea. I used something quite dark on my Tiger and I had to tone it back later with dust. Different areas should deserve different darknesses of washes like you've done.
    I also like your mapping with the washable white. But when I used AK washable white I found I could sort of reactivate it with water after it was dry but still fresh. Maybe it's different than Mig AMMO? ...even though those companies are ...let's say ...very similar :D
    Your idea of painting the wheels as one unit is good. I think I will try that on my Panther G soon. So many roadwheels gets tiring and so little is visible in the end.
    I hope your trip to the museum was good! I will look forward to next week :)

      Hi Evan(? same problem xD), but yes Kai is correct. Thanks for watching and takeing the time for your comment.
      I A/B tested the drying time on this build: Turret was done within 20min from hairspray to chipping, chassis within 4h and rear section of the chassis was chipped after one week. I was not able to notice any significant differences. From your videos I renember you using x20a thinner for lesser adhesion of the lacquer paint - I still use Tamiya lacquer thinner, but have x20a on the way to me for further testing.
      I actually was expecting this washable white to be able to reactivate too - can't tell if it was beyond shelf life (possible, obtained it in a small store localy) or if it worked as designed. Worked for me, but if I had not tested it on a sheet before...
      These roadwheel modules work fine for Tiger/Panthers on my level of skills, it's just much more effective in time used to handle them and there are many other things in need of improvement with my builds I need to throw the gained time at xD
      Museum was fine too, now i can start building a 0-series JagdpanzerIV soon. Got lots of refferences for the years to come : )
      Looking forward to your next video as well. Regards Kai

      Hello Carlos. Thanks for watching. 1/48 planes are awesome, Border Models came out with a BF109 in 1/35 and I'm playing with the idea of building one : ) Glad you liked the Panther. Hope you enjoy building yours!

    It's nice video. Actually, hair splay technique is in use generally today. But there will be many ways to peel off.
    I got a lot from this video. Thanks uploading.

      Thank you panzer-meister. I ordered some different thinners and paints to optimize my hairspray chipping - it can be used for so many differnt effects. I'll keep tinkering with it on the next build.

      Thanks! StuG III 0-Series is crawling along the build phase (2mounths approixmatly) and Bronco StuG III Ausf. D (DAK) is in its final steps, vid maybe in three weeks from now. StuG IV is not planned atm, missing good kits and a better book I'm currently saving up to.

    Ak/mig/valejho paints are very easy for chipping. You can even leave them for 24h and still they would be chippable. :)

    • @Tankbrusher
      @Tankbrusher  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Tomasz, thanks for your advice. I'll run a test series soon to make my experience firm with that technique - if you have the time: jump over to The Bears channel for his flame thrower video. (He is in the comments.) I'm caught between too hard to chip and the fear of paint comeing off too easy and in too large chips atm : )

      @@Tankbrusher Yup, that's the case, you have to be very careful chipping water based acrylics trying not to rip them totally. :)

    • @Tankbrusher
      @Tankbrusher  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Timothy - in any case related to Ausf. A it is very likely I do mean '43. It is somewhat hard for me to pronounce these dates. Got called out for it, worked on it - from the next videos on it will be easy to understand.

      @@timothymelick7085 No insult taken, the first rfm tiger video is much worse in this case - that's when I noted it down to fix. Thanks mate, Q4 this year will be very panther heavy - I'm preparing to messure the one existing Ausf. D in the Netherlands for reference.
