Knowledge of cam indexers

1. A common cam indexer mainly consists of an indexing table, cam rollers, a common rail cam and a base. During operation, the input shaft drives the output shaft by meshing with the evenly spaced indexing table gear teeth on the common-rail cam. When not engaged, it is stationary and self-locking in position, resulting in intermittent motion. One cycle of motion plus one cycle of standstill.
2. For cam indexers, neither stepper nor servo motors increase the accuracy of the cam indexer.
