- Judge Robert Hodges sentenced #SusanLorincz to 25 years in prison on a manslaughter charge for shooting neighbor Ajike Owens from behind her locked front door. Lorincz gave a tearful apology, telling the Owens family she would trade her life so Ajike could be here.

The children had been playing outside and she tossed some skate's at them. They ran in doors.. the Mom asked where is your iPad at,,and they went looking for it. The lady said she had it. Told the kids to go get their mom if they wanted it back. I think it was almost dark out side, because other people had Ring -Doorbell Camera's as well. She claimed that the lady was trying to break in,, that's why she shot her. She almost got away with this murder,, because the neighbors kid's witnessed this and ran them told parents. Talk about wild..

@9889ymari this happened in Florida, and I believe it was stated that she would need to serve 80% of her sentence before being considered for parole. Susan does not seem to feel she did anything wrong, citing all her medical and mental health issues. Truth- she shot through a closed door knowing the police were on their way and she was NOT in danger. She could have killed a child instead of the mother. Manslaughter is still a homicide. Susan was hopeful this would be considered a "stand your ground case"...not even close.

I don't believe for one second that she didn't call those children the n-word.
It's just not believable in my opinion that she didn't. And mostly because of her own words, the way that she defends herself when she says that she absolutely never called them a slave, she doesn't really go that far with the n-word accusation.

It's better to just rise above it and ignore it. But at the same time, how many times can you allow something like that to happen to your child?
I would not want my child to be playing outside and to be called names by a grown-ass woman. And I think the people that live there were just frustrated by this person who's so rotten and angry and she went to the door and confronted her and I would do the same thing. I may be white, but I have a child of Asian Caucasian heritage and I don't know how often I could handle that. I would try to deescalate, and then I would get to the point where I'm like no. Not playing anymore already tried and it didn't work and then I would go and knock at your door too and I'd probably be dead also.
She should be thankful for this light sentence. She does not deserve less than life in prison. Hopefully she never makes it out of prison.

Buddy, I have lived with a chronic pain condition for almost 20 years now and NOTHING could make me murder someone in cold blood. I would take myself out before taking a life. She lied and lied in her interrogation and she was NOT scared. How do I know? Because someone who is scared, doesn't constantly initiate arguments with not just her, but various neighbours. She was the neighbourhood grump with a gun.
And to then stand up and further denigrate the victim was not in her best interest and I guarantee her lawyer would have advised her against it - she is basically trying to re-try the case after she has been found guilty.

This judge summed it up correctly and gave her what she had coming. No justification for killing the young mother she didn't have to shoot her and the trauma those poor children have had to suffer is inconsolable. I just hope those children are safe and well 🙏🙏🙏

Her attorney should have told her that her medical conditions probably wouldn’t make a difference in the sentencing. It sounds ridiculous. The whole thing is very sad.

I had a neighbor that had children that vandalized my property. I mentioned it to the mother and she cursed me and threatened. Her kids got worse and worse. The mother would scream and threaten me every time I walked out the door. My car was keyed, my side mirror was hit with a baseball bat. Loud music ALL NIGHT, every night! After 3 months, I finally talked to a lawyer and he got me out of my lease. So , yes, a person can be provoked to the point of this happening.

There was no reason to shoot someone. Call the police if feel threatened. The deceased was also wrong in confronting her, but didn't deserve to be killed.
