Another great videos Jimmy. I love the fact that your relatively local to me, I drive around all day from Leavenworth, KS to Lone Jack, Mo and the Northland to Overland park, so quite a spread. Hoping some of my Hotpots start rolling in sometime in May/June. I have ordered 20 total from all 4 (Bobcat, Nebra, Cal-Chip (Rak) and SyncroB.it, so it will give me plenty of time, hopefully, to implement placement between batches.
Two big problems face new buyers - mid September delivery means after the halving/half as many coins available to be mined. 2nd problem is by September we will be a lot closer to the end of the crypto bull run and when the alt coins like Helium get crushed 80% and stay down for years until the next 4 yr cycle begins. Just keeping it real as there is no free lunch/risk free venture in crypto.

The pending orders for hotspots is 10 times the current size of the network - that means 1/10 miner profits to share - but there's a halving event coming to cause it to be 1/20th, then there will be a bear market making it even less. We're in a bull market now but even with a pull back, Helium token has tanked. Wait until the bear market really occurs. What's more -!search any big wireless carriers and IoT (Internet of Things) and you will see they have aggressive plans, huge brand presence, huge customer base and reputation, infrastructure in place, teams of engineers and fleets of technicians. Helium has work to do. The vast majority of projects in crypto fail. Be aware and be careful.
That is completely based on past market cycle. There are 1 million different reasons why it won’t play out like that moving forward. More exposure, institutional adoption, etc. etc.

Good luck, if your order number is anything over 2k it may be a while till you get your miner... You may be better off ordering a miner from a newer company with helium like seed. (once they become available)

What does all this mean when living in a small town in the middle of nowhere? I want to purchase one or two of these because I have 2-3 location that is about 3-4 miles apart (family). No one in my town has these from what the map is showing, however, looking further into my state also shows that there are a few people who have a miner in the middle of nowhere as well.
You will want at the very least 2, 3 would be better. And ideally as close to the 300 meters as possible without being in it. Look at their website and there is one that shows the octagon around your house that is no good, and green for the best rewards.
There are a two miners a few miles from my area , I’m wondering how come one miner was making 23 helium and the other 58 helium in past month, what is causing the difference to be that large?
if one day you earned a large lump sum of helium this is directly from a consensus group, consensus groups are one of the forms of payout of helium towards your miner, basically what happens is for a certain few set blocks during the day helium groups up 5-30 miners to work on one task, and when that one task is complete everyone who was randomly selected to work on it is credited their share of cracking the block, which sounds like in your case was around 20 helium which tbh this might sound far fetched but is actually on the low end of consensus rewards, go click a few dots on the helium coverage map and theres loads of examples of some miners earning on average 60 helium a month then boom one day they get 120.

My friend told me about this last year but the miners were sold out and they take like 20 weeks to ship apparently so on thursday i just got a text from him that they were in stock at this third party seller in my city which takes 2 days to ship and they charge like double the price appx. Jimmy, any ideas on ways to place another miner somewhere? Like if we don't own another property or can't stick it at work lol. Got a strong feeling my job would kill me if I dropped one onto our network😂(IT job)
Your best bet is at a friend/family member/coworker or anyone who you can trust that lives in a location that would benefit your first hotspot.

They work off both, you can use wifi or ethernet if you want a more stable connection

I got mine ordered at 3am May 1st and the order confirmation said 8-12 weeks. Some people where deterred because the way the worded it confused them. I live a an hour away from San Francisco. I’m hoping the shipping is faster because of that lol.
