- It's travel day to Orlando International in Florida but once again it's not as straightforward as it should be...
Join us at London Gatwick Airport as we breeze through premium security and check in for our British Airways flight to Orlando. Onboard we fly in economy class before descending in to Orlando International after what seems a very long flight.
MCO is where the fun and games really begins though as it takes us over 4 hours to complete baggage reclaim, homeland security and pick up our rental car. Terminal C is still not a pleasant experience!
Eventually we make it to our hotel, The Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando where we give a room tour (despite our jet lag) before bringing this travel day to an end.

Who & what is JJ Extra?

Over the last 2 years we have explored our beautiful home country like never before and in 2022 we were lucky enough to start travelling abroad once more and our dream to travel the world together has been reignited.
We love an adventure and in 2023 we are challenging ourselves to step out of our comfort zones & push ourselves to the limit as we take on bigger adventures than ever before, visit new places & try new experiences. So come along and join the adventure, you never know where it might lead!

Can’t believe the state of the hire car, sorry you had a traumatic start to the trip, didn’t realise you were staying at Rosen Inn pointe, I have a story about that hotel so interested to hear your thoughts after staying there. Another great travel day vlog 😘
In hindsight the damage was mainly scratches and didn’t cause us any issues, we were just tired and wanted to make sure we documented it all so there were no disagreements later on! Ooo you will have to tell us that story, we only stayed 2 nights and spent very little time there so it served a purpose for us. The room we had was close to I4 though and it was noisy so would have requested a different room had we stayed longer.

Clean and comfortable is all we ask for in a hotel room when travelling (except Josh and his crispy towels 😂). We don’t spend enough time in the room to worry about anything more than that! We had an amazing time thanks Brittany, can’t wait to share the videos of some amazing places 😊

Poor you, 4 hours to get from plane to Hotel, that was on top of a 10 hour flight and a 3 hour wait at the airport in UK. You were very brave to send your luggage technically, I'd be terrified the luggage would end up in Timbuctoo, knowing my luck it would. Hope you both have a brilliant time, looking forwards to all the updates. Take care.😉😉
It was a long travel day but all worth it in the end! The self serve bag drop is a little daunting to start with but once you’ve done it the first time it’s very straightforward. There were also plenty of staff around to assist so it’s not so bad 😊
Hello! American subscriber, here. I came across your channel when I was looking at videos for Southampton, UK. Very impressed that you rented a car in Orlando. I've never had the nerve to rent a car in the UK; pretty sure I'd spend my entire vacation stuck in a roundabout! Do you find it confusing driving on the "wrong" side? Have a fun trip!
Hi David. It’s actually an easy transition to driving on the ‘wrong’ side in Orlando (LA now that’s a different story 😂). We always say we think it would be harder for an American driving in the UK because the roads are so small.
