This man’s voice, lyrics and melodies have been my lifetime companions. Thank God for his talents that he’s shared with the world- it’s a better place because of it.
Wow! 1976. I was born in 79 and im 45 now and this tune is timeless. You can play it in another 50 years and people will love it.

Best performance by far in all the videos I saw and heard, he's playing that piano with great bounce, and he's playing that harmonica on tune, and his voice is the most passionate to his lyrics - so, two thumbs up with this one - I LOVE IT THE MOST BILLY - thanks for sharing. I had the privilege of blowing my last 5k promoting this concert at Connecticut College's Palmer Auditorium in December 1976. Still remains a highlight of my life. Greatness was all over the board and a few months later The Stranger came out with Just the Way You Are. There will never be another like him.

When I first listened to this at a bowling alley everybody was super happy and cheered even though it was on the tv and when I saw the music video a lot of people including me wanted to cry because of how emotional it was.
