AGE I: 3 Villagers
AGE II: 5 Villagers, 700 Wood, 700 coin, (600 wood or coin depending on the units you make), Infantry Train time, Cavalry train time.
AGE III: 8 Villagers, 1000 wood, 1000 coin, Yeomen, Musketeer HP/Attack, Cavalry HP/Attack.
AGE IV: 2 Factories, (2 Infinite Rocket card if needed)

i love this game, it gives such a nice sense of organisation and peace for my brain.
i dont play online because people seem really freakishly good so i play story and skirmesh
try please to play online . you can find people wqho play just to relax like you, like me. i'd be fun x)

I remember playing this when I was nine. I was a brutal warlord, killing setlers and workers with impunity from atop my horse-gunners. The nostalgia from this video gives e chills.

Nice video as always, thanks for the game and strategy and also glad you changed your mic recently. This was a sweet game and although i've never tried British before, i'll try them whenever i can.
I love playing Sioux and would appreciate a guide about them, or Iroquois. I see Aztec and Iroquos as strong civilizations but i don't play Iroquois because i think the siege unit Mantlet is the most stupid-ass unit in the game. I seriously don't play that race due to that reason but i might play them if you gave some insight about the nation. About Aztecs.. well i just tried them once but didn't get the grasp of it. But got my ass whopped up by Expert AI Aztec quite few times, enough experience to understand they have good units.
I don't usually enjoy watching other peoples gameplay, but you do a very good job on commenting and you play in a way that I can follow.
I have a hard time doing eco and attacking at the same time, and I lose my head when I get attacked early on.
I might start playing regulary thanks to your vids. Haven't since 2006.

Incredibly good video man, I didn't realise how effective the longbow infantry were as the British. I'm definitely going to try them out next time I play. A couple questions: 1. How are you able to build multiple houses/walls without having to reselect from the build menu and 2. How do you queue 5 military units in one click?

Liking the videos, man! Do you ever play as the Dutch?
Your musk can be anti cav if you put them in melee stance, they get high bonus dmg versus cav.
I loved this game! But my PC ran it fine until ships came into it and that mission in the campaign (called 'Spanish Gold' I think?) really fucked it up because ships made it lag soooo bad and I couldn't do the mission so couldn't complete it.... since then my PC deteriorated and eventually I got a new laptop... but the game doesn't work on here for some reason (I have the disc version) so now I have seen the Steam Autumn Sale and the ultimate edition is down from like £30 to £7.49 I am gonna get it so I can play it again! Loved the skirmishes! Can't wait :D good video, very good tactic :P I never used longbows but I may do so now ;) same with rockets XD
P.S. I always play as British but then again I am British and play as the British/English on EVERYTHING soo yeah... but still! :D yay

Martha Bibby You need to gain XP to upgrade your home city level. Every level is a new card you can get

I love playing as Britain, and I totally agree. I have such fond memories of my rockets slaughtering my friends during LAN games :)
*I agree with almost all of your points on the BRITISH civilisation. And yeah, they are extremely underrated.*
I actually ALWAYS build light infanterie against british. they kill pikes and musketeers. They also are 1:1 gainst the longbows. a bit of cav too and the british rush is destroyed.
I find after discovery age make allot of villagers just spam houses (and get cheap house upgrade and fast building of them helps too) and then the house is now cheaper then a villager, is using a recourse not needed to age up, plus u never have to worry about not enough population, and the domino effect is really good once it gets going. once you need more gold or food from plantations and mills it is easy to get too and u never have to worry about it. if u spam villagers plus spam houses you will have a fast recourse boom right there
Fast building houses trash card u need to waste 1 shipment for this card when u can send 700 gold instead for example

hello nice video, i love this game, i play only with the british and i want to learn more, would you please share the full deck? i can't beat the AI on expert I can easily beat it on hard but i been struggling with the expert one its funny because you can clearly see a big improvement on its skills and economy
ive been really getting into dutch fast revolt... send 2 factories and build your banks then revolt... get eco and better units

Love the British the imperail longbow are good support unites can almost use the same strategy is use in age of empires 2 afican kingdoms useing the britons.
SamuraiRevolution, I am a begginer and usually play with the British. I have been playing with a strategy really similar to this one but I always end up running out of food during big battles. I have a lot of villies on food and upgrades in the mills aswell but I still run out of food while I have a ton of the other resources. Do you know what my problem might be?

Britain is easy to pick up and throw - but it's also quite good if you learn to throw it better.

The rockets are OP but I think I still prefer the great bombards a little more idk why, maybe it’s just because ottoman is my go to civ.

I have a question for herding. when I command a villager behind the herd and simultaneously command to attack the herd, it does not work for me. let me explain, the villager walks towards the herd and instead of getting behind the herd before attacking, he/she starts shooting as soon as the villager gets in range. therefore ‘shooing' the herd in the opposite direction. can anybody help me?
hold shift, command your villigers to move behind the bison, then click the bison and then let go of shift
When playing as the British Empire, after hearing about all their atrocities throughout history trumping all the others (even Imperial Japan, Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia), it gives you a sense of how good it feels to be bad... :)
how do you make shipments and unit training apear above the minimap?
Edit: and how do you have 25 cards in a deck, aint 20 the max?
In TAD i guess 25 max
Well, the appearing stuff above the minimap can be set somewhere in options and also, the 25 cards in the deck is an exclusive thing in The Asian Dynasties and The Warchiefs
Not a bad guide, I'd 100% take cheaper houses over build speed, unless you have double brit on team.

Hey bro you got the basic card order right for the standard British strategy but I will say your micro management needs improvement if you want to play successfully with the British as they are prone to rush also work on those age times. GL British is my favorite civ and glad to see there are some players keeping Em alive. Add me on aoe3 Dan_Z-USN. I enjoy playing team games and non rated 1v1s with friends :)

Saloon upgrade. It makes outlaw type units cost less pop and I believe it makes them cheaper to train.

Nice well i think british are kinda good but they cant compare to dutch man. I strongly bealive dutch is the most op nation cause of these banks. I mean u get your economy easily very good then just go for factories and u dont need any settler working for u , u just build horses from then its so damn good . just focus on economy and hussar upgrades and all u have to do is train a bunch of hussars and some artilery and gg can beat anythink. untill they die in battle you got twice the money for the same huge army u send and died.

In normal game dutch 4 bank limit 4 banks like 16 vills 50 vill limit britain have 20 houses 5 vill card 2 falconets card dutch no 2 falcs card

It's the asian dynasties expansion. If you have steam, right click on the game and launch the asian dynasties

lol. strategy "defence" never works online. micro'ing your army to harass the enemy is a must. 101 in multiplayer rts games
unless choke points. but this game doesnt have such maps
British / Russia where the 2 nations i did the best with truth be told.
I don't like the British in aoe3 because how good they always are when I play alongside them or against them...
try japan, they're infantry is op and cheap.
Super Waldek ikr, i'm pretty pro at this game since im playing it for like 8 years by now. I know what civ counters what civ and that stuff, but Britain is just annoying, its not that hard to deal with it
yea, i have this came for a long now and also came to a conclusion that brits are annoying (played the game like 20min against brits and i saw it more when i thought about that they are anoying) but there are countries even more annoying like aztecs when they have a lot of they're cub men (don't remember they're name) who atack multiple units at once or japan when in consul they have troops with same efect and they're cavalery and infantry being strong making them even more anoying.
