I visited Iran in 2016, on a total whim, didn't know much about it other than good reviews I'd read online. it was the most eye opening thirty days, amazing, rich and full in so many ways. The food, culture, history and the hospitality of the beautiful Persian people is second to none. I can not wait to return one day!!!

Hello from Iran... I wouldn't stay in Tehran for too long. Tehran is a very crowded, noisy, and polluted city. I know because I live here! There ARE many places ro visit of course and Tehran does have it's charm when weather and traffic permit. Right now, during the Chinese pandemic, is obviously not a good time at all, but generally anytime between mid-March and mid-September is a good time. During those months, the highest temperatures are between June and August with mid-July being the hottest. It would make it a whole lot easier if you plan everything ahead. Iran's tourism infrastructure is not exactly up to par. I don't know where you are coming from, but finding a reputable tourism agency where you are or near where you are would be a good start. Bring lots of cash (US dollars) with you as Iran has a pure-cash economy and foreign cards can't be used.
