Many water plants and soil/clay can naturally cleanup sewage and disinfect the water.. It has been so for millions of years.. just like the sump tank in an aquarium.... in addition to the DTSS
PUB’s deep tunnel sewerage system is an impressive feat of engineering and long-term water infrastructure which other countries should copy. Kudos to PUB team! I also chanced upon a similar engineering marvel in the city of Chicago where a deep tunnel was constructed to reclaim and treat wastewater as well as reverse the flow river which used to pollute the great lakes. Guess when was the project?… it was completed in 1920, 100y ago! Kudos to the Americans for their grand design and superb engineering skillset.
*Malaysia has much to learn from Singapore. Shud build tunnel and large water reservoir underground during rainy season to store water and flood prevention and to utilise the same when facing yearly occurrence of drought season.*
Singapore is land constraints and hence is forced to look downwards for her infrastructure development (electrical, water, sewage etc) . Also SG is a rich in $ country. Ma'sia wil never look downwards beacause its is huge country with no land mass issue. iidding underground or boring machine are expensive . hence Ma's8ia will not look downwards for her infrastructure development (electrical, water, sewage etc) . Also M'sia is not a rich in $ country in reserves to spend on infrastucure development.
