    Absolutely amazing design AL, and another great lock lab video.
    Am I the only one who also enjoyed the little intro? For some dumb reason it made me smile.

    Never underestimate us Canadians, we have never lost a war, we are tough as nails to wisthstand the 349 days of winter in our igloos and we are the greatest hockey nation of the planet. In this video, we can see how experienced and wise you are with locks. Take care Mr. Bill.

      I had a dream of a 17-pin, three-core lock with different types on each core. As awesome as it would be as a challenge lock... I think the door is the weak point by then.

    That's actually an insanely impressive build... I expected the grub screws way down 3 and 4 when he took it apart and realized they're gone, I've seen that in magic style puzzle boxes, but I didn't expect it to lock the core in, very nice touch.

    This lock is a great work of art, symbolizing the nation of Canada, as it is split between its English and its French speaking citizens. It tells us we must examine ourselves carefully and not make any assumptions, to open our hearts.

Great work otherwise on the picking job and to Al on the creative lock. Next time throw in some evil pinning and threaded core. XP

    i was wondering if anyone was going to make a split core lock for bill to try and pick for the longest time! i was thinking of how to make one, but couldnt think of a way to hold the two halves in place.
    it was around the 12:00 minute mark that i realized that he used pins 3 and 4 as set screws to hold the two halves together. AWESOME IDEA!

  • @Ampera_
    @Ampera_ 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    An interesting idea I had would be to have a lock like this, but each and every pin has a separate core that spins independently from each other. Then each alternating core would have the warding smoothed down so that you can't tension it with just a long tensioner.

    Cool lock! Was there anything requiring you to pick the first half other than the tension wrench? Looks like you could have used a bent wire, maybe a really long flag pick, and turned this into a two pin lock, as long as you could overcome the spring tension.
