No sir you don't need anything to make it shiny. You just need to rub in the white cement solution with a trowel very carefully and repeatedly to make it smooth and shiny. But be careful, wet feet and white cement are a very slippery combination.
There are a lot of variables to decide the perfect ratio. Steps to do ************************************************************* - Use the same mug for measuring dry cement and water - Use 1:1:1 ratio of (1 mug cement : 1 mug water : 1 drop ujala blue / cement blue tint) - Make a batch of maybe 2 mugs cement, 2 mugs water, 2 drops tint - Mix thoroughly - Try it on a patch of the freshly made floor - Make sure it is not very thick - else it will crack when dried completely - Make sure it is not very thin - else it will show marks of the lower gray colored cement from below - After pouring the white cement mix, it should be levelled with very light hand using a trowel , move to another part of the room, repeat - Come back to the first part of the room and start rubbing with the trowel so that the water goes in, white cement rubs in to form a shiny hard surface. It is a time taking process, needs patience and skill to achieve. But is cost effective - Use the cement, water and pigment mixture within 1 hour else it will set hard, rendering it unusable. - If you feel that the mix is too thin / thick, use your own ratio to increase or decrease the ratio. But keep a note of it and use it always on that batch of fresh floor. - Ratio changes with cement quality, brand, fresh floor status, wetness, season of the year, dry or wet, and such other parameters. So trial and error will help you get the right ratio. Stick to the ratio that you find useful. **************************************************************** Caution : When dry, the floor tends to feel slippery if walking with wet feet. Hope this helps you. Good luck.
Hello. Even though I have a complete calculation of how many cement bags we used for the entire construction, I am sorry to say that I don't have the calculations per room requirement of Portland cement used for masonry work. But yeah for a room sized 15 x 13 feet we used 25 kgs of white cement for the flooring. Hope I was able to answer a part of your question
Hi Shoive. I didn't use any chemical. Coating the floor with epoxy resin will make it super expensive but glossy and long lasting too. White cement floors are used for inexpensive flooring. If you need hard and shiny floor, you may consider marble or tiles.
For coloring the floor we in Bangladesh use only Black powder and Red-oxide and we have just these two options, Black or Red. These are mixed with regular cements and these floors lasts long. But I want to color my floor in a yellowish shade and also have not any scope to spend a lot. I just want to be sure what kinds of problems may I face after finishing the floor with white cement. Will the floor break apart soon. Won’t it last at least 15 years? Please share your experience.
@@shoiveahmed1089 hey buddy. You can mix white cement and water in 1:1 ratio. See if you need more water. Don't make the mix very thick. Else it will crack. Cracks will happen anyways. But thick mixture means more cracks. You can tint the cement mix with colour of your choice. Make mixture in batches of 10 litres. Keep the ratio of color : cement : water, same for each batch. Use waterproofing compound like Dr Fix it. That will prevent cracking and also provide structural strength to the white cement. Do the topping immediately after flooring when it has not dried. The most important part is the rubbing in of the slurry when it is still wet. That will give the finish and strength. Usually the Mason is tired after doing the flooring all day. They don't have patience to do the finishing job properly. So hire another Mason who will start fresh immediately after flooring is done. So that he will have the energy and patience to do the job sincerely. Water curing for at least a week is crucial. Make sure there are no air bubbles in the top layer while the Mason is rubbing in the white cement. Let him use a needle to make a hole in the air pockets and rub again with the trowel. Else that air pocket will break first in the long run. From there the entire floor will slowly start disintegrating.
The meaning of TINT is a usually slight or pale coloration. Like we are using a bit of blue color to make the white look whiter. Like we use ujala in white clothes.
Should we do any polish after white cement coat ? or what to do to make floor shiny , please tell.

is it more slippery than the regular cement?
Yes it is

What is tint?

Whaite cement er shathe ki kono kisu misate hoy .
Only blue colour tint if you want bright white. Mix water only. Nothing else required.
Balu k sath bhi white cement use krte to zyada finishing aati😢
True. But 1 bag normal cement is RS 300 whereas white cement is 1200 (4 times costly). That's why I used white cement for top layer only.
