    • Dungeons & Dragons: 3r...
Description: Werewolf: The Apocalypse is a role-playing game from the Classic World of Darkness line by White Wolf Publishing. Other related products include the Collectible card games named Rage and several novels (including one series). In the game, players take the role of werewolves known as "Garou" (from the French loup garou). These werewolves are locked in a two-front war against both the spiritual desolation of urban civilization and supernatural forces of corruption that seek to bring about the Apocalypse. Game supplements detail other shapeshifters.
Along with the other titles in the World of Darkness, Werewolf was discontinued in 2004. Its successor title within the Chronicles of Darkness line, Werewolf: The Forsaken, was released on March 14, 2005. A fifth edition is planned to be developed by Hunters Entertainment and published in 2021.
The books have been reprinted since 2011 as part of the "Classic World of Darkness" line.

Nice job on simplifying the rules. Werewolf the apocalypse is also My favorite out of all the white wolf games.

    Great introduction to the system.
Werewolf has been my favorite Wod game, since 1st ed came out, but never got a chance to run or play it.

I've always found Werewolf to be the most playable of the WOD games, as the pack structure pulls the players together, so they're playing as a team rather than in Vampire where they're a bunch of individuals doing their own stuff, but together.

I love this RPG and I just accepted an invite to a WtA campaign called Rage in California.

My favourite of the World of Darkness games, just so fun to play (rather than the angst of the other games), yeah you're probably going to die, but you'll have a party on your way and you'll go out fighting.

I still have my 1992 copy. Beat up, but serviceable.

I'm lucky my second edition rulebook is still near pristine, but my 1st edition is worse for wear.

My dear new friend, where it says in the book that in frenzy you can do you permanent Rage Points as Rage actions without Spending temporary points in Frenzy ?

    • @RPGGamer
      @RPGGamer  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry missed this comment.
And I misspoke in the video.
You spend a Rage point to gain an extra action, and at least in 1st edition, if you make a successful Rage test, you don't lose the Rage point (page 137). Given the target number for Rage tests drops when in Crinos, its' a fairly easy roll (which is why I've kind of forgotten about it over the years as I believe my GM doesn't even ask for it anymore).
Not sure if it works the same way in Second Edition.

@@RPGGamer I actually like the idea that in Frenzy you automaticaly take your Permanent Rage round up in Rage actions since you get all other uses for free as well, like immune to stun etc etc

Probably Roll20, as they seem to support everything. If your looking for a group to play with, check out the various werewolf,World of darkness and rpg groups on Facebook. As many advertise if they're looking for players.

I've always preferred werewolf over vampire because vampire players always trying to be overly goth and depressed and I think vampire's as a whole have been done to death

    • @RPGGamer

I really think that Werewolf is the most playable of the World of Darkness games (along with maybe Changeling), where the others are lovely games, but a little too perfect for imperfect gamers to play and have fun.
