His story of how he got the part of for starkiller is pretty awesome. His audition was the scene where he was meditating and he portrayed starkiller to struggle and fail at it. They asked him why are you doing that your supposed to be meditating and he says starkiller is being trained by Vader, he is a sith he wouldn’t have a clue to be at peace.
I saw Sam Witwer's IMDB page years ago and was amazed at how many iconic characters are him, and how skilled a performance he turns in every single time. He's like Lucasfilm's Philip Seymour Hoffman
Two things we learned here: 1. Lucasfilms are pretty chill folks to work with. 2. Witwer’s Harrison Ford ASMR stream was apparently an option for Sam this whole time.
3:11 The ONLY flaw in an otherwise spot-on imitation, Harrison pronounced it "Millennium Fawlcon." I only remember because it always annoyed me when I was a kid. "That's not how you say falcon..." Sam is a treasure.

He's a massive fan of SW and always speaks highly of them. I'm not saying he kisses ass, but if you want someone working at your studio, you want some passionate and appreciative of everything that is being done. It's rare to find, because even if you find someone passionate, most still have strong opinions about everything.

Drew Struzan the great poster artist said that when he retired, Lucasfilm was the only studio he had worked for that remembered him and gave him a retirement gift.
Sam is a absolute Gem and we just need Star Killer Back! Just give us Galen and Juno back! They can rewrite their story but as long as it ends up with a happy ending and them going into the unknown region. :) I'm happy.

I’m starting to wonder if I got into brisk iced tea because of them lol-never would’ve guessed the same guy who voiced Maul in those commercials would go on to voice Starkiller and Sidious in the Force Unleashed games and Maul in the Clone Wars series and Rebels.
Commercial budgets are absolutely insane, no joke there have been 20 second ad spots that have budgets rivaling hollywood blockbusters. Why? If an ad does good work the profits roll in instantly, if a blockbuster does good it pays out a year or more down the road and only after the studio takes it's cut for distribution and advertising.
Dude if they just made an insane action packed show of just star killer on a mission id watch the ever living shit out of it. No lore buildup and all that. Just straight up starkiller going on suicide missions fucking shit up.
I really wish they would’ve moved to cast Sam as live action star killer back when clone wars was the only thing outside of the movies that were canon. Now with all of the shit happening in between 3 and 4, it would be nearly impossible to bring in Starkiller without contradicting something, and that’s a damn shame
I've met Sam three times and every time he's been just a Great Guy, humble, friendly....someone you want to continue with their success.
