Alex does the most amazing truck reviews. It's so common to have car enthusiasts that don't understand what trucks are supposed to be like. Do the controls work when wearing gloves? How does the 4x4 work? Payloads and towing, etc. Alex clearly understands how trucks are used and it means a lot to me. Thanks for the great work.
4x4 drive has 2 modes low and high the axles and gears of the drive shafts make it to where the entire set of 4 wheels roll in sync meaning all 4 wheels go at the same time in the same speed. rather it's low or high 4x4 drive can save your life.
+alex on autos I had 2012 F350 Lariat for two years and 2014 F350 Platinum for two years since and didn't realize below the cupholders there's another slot further down where a cupholder flat would fit right in. You're very thorough and that makes you a very special auto review person. Cheers.
This is the best truck comparison review. I'm glad you included the "Length in Inches" size comparison chart. Please do this for your future reviews, or at least mention the vehicle's length when you show the size comparison ruler.
First place I went to review a truck. Just purchased my first trailer and looking back in time at a used Ford this fits the bill. Trailer is only 4800 lbs and my friends 2017 F-150 was definitely moving in sync with the trailer meaning mild bucking, swaying (even with a weight distribution hitch). Again, mild but noticable nothing dramatic. He also has a F-250 that were both itching to test to see if it exhibits the same behavior. I might just kill all that nonsense and go for the F-350 with the option of upgrading later to a bigger trailer that weighs 7000lbs. That's several years down the road though. Thanks again Alex for a great video.
Alex, you do a great job organizing and delivering detailed info- thanks! I and a number of my friends who occasionally tow would benefit if you would please do a video about towing, especially if how/when the FMCSA's rules com into play are included. I find most people with "1/2" and "3/4" ton tow vehicles have little understanding about using the proper hitch and leveling techniques using a Weight Distributing Hitch, Including an explanation of when to use a WDH and the safety aspects of spreading the load weight between all axles would also be very helpful.
Hi, AlexOnAutos team. I don't know if you guys can make this happen, but im gonna ask any way. When you guys are showing the interior, could you put the car in a dark garage or film a small portion of the interior shot at night - to show how the interior dials and knobs light up (or don't light up) at night. Please also show reading lights and any lights along the door seals. Also, please show how the exterior lights "behave". This would be greatly appreciated. I love your in-depth reviews, otherwise. Keep up the great work!!!
For those wondering why the F-450 has lower max payload than the F-350, it's partially due to the 350 having options for a single ca, while the 450 is crew cab only.
Someone get this guy trucks through the years to review them I wanna see him do these comprehensive and in depth reviews for 6.4 powerstrokes 7.3s etc.
I went cross-eyed during the Ram comparison. There are so many options and nuances when it comes to pickups in the US. Saying you own a F350 (or Silverado 3500/Ram 3500) is like saying you own a Porsche 911 in model specific vagueness.
I've got a 2015 Lariat trim and it's my everyday. Love it! However, I just blew the cold side pipe on my turbo. It's made of junk plastic. I've got an aftermarket pipe on order. If you have one of these, it's just a matter of time. Get yourself an after market pipe as a prophylactic. Leave me a comment if you'd like my recommendation.
I just bought a 16 f250 6.7 the 17s look great, but they scared me. I was worried if the17 broke down they couldn't get parts. also wanted the last metal truck that's has been proven for 5 years to run great.
I noticed in the on-road segment that it took a lot of steering wheel movement for fairly small changes in direction. Not exactly the Alpha Romeo 4C Spider, eh?
We have a 2016 F-350 gasolene extended cab 8 foot bed for our delivery truck at work. The rear suspension is too stiff. At 70-80 mph with no weight in the bed, if the truck goes over a medium bump in the road, the rear of the vehicle bounces so bad that the front steering breaks loose and the vehicle feels unstable. Did you feel any of that during your review? Thanks for your detailed reviews!
Is Diesel truck reliable? Diesel Particulate Filter seems expensive to replace. And how about DEF, is urea gonna make the engine less reliable? THX! Alex, great review!!!
Crazy how different the prices are from 2016 to the 2017 now…damn near 20k difference for the same options….i was thinking about trading my 2016 XLT to a 2017 XLT, same options and when I saw 53k I walked away
You're quite amazing. Just beginning to look for a truck to carry a camper and tow two horses in a Silverlight trailer. You have been very helpful. Any recommendations?
I have a 2012 f350 swd diesil. Beside blocks being bigger what all are the differences from swd to dwd. If I want to convert to dually will it be possible?
One tiny mistake you made in the video: the 2016 Ram gets 820 lb-ft of torque. The 2017 Ram gets the 900 you were talking about, but it competes against the Ford's 925 and the Chevy's 910.
oh man, my ram 3500 rides rough compared to my chevy and ford. I installed adjustable airbags in all three trucks. the ram has a stiffer front end than the ford or chevy. when it comes to cab quality of buttoms the chevy seems to be the best then the ford and ram the last. all three are made and designed way better than older models. So I have to be really picky when I say that. But I can say the ram does tow more weight than the chevy. I haven't put the my new 16 ford to the extreme test of the dump trailers yet. But either way I am subject to 26,000lbs so al three can tow that much fairly easy. Its when you get over 30,000lbs truck trailer load towing that separates the chevy from the ram. all three trucks are bad ass in my opinion.
Mr. Kruger since you have best three diesel trucks. Which truck would you recommend the most.. I'm been looking in to the 2015 ford f350 platinum or 12 dodge ram 2500 laramie.
+whiteandnerdytuba If you skip to around 22:30 I mention the state laws. TX and CA are similar actually with each state having some differences, however in a nutshell in either state over 10,000lbs of gross trailer weigh rating you're in a different category.

Good job man. Fa sho

Watching this in 2024... F350 is super cool and capable.
Best most comprehensive SuperDuty review on TH-cam (or the net). Alex, you're king of the auto reviews!

+cadsux I almost always say the length and show the chart, but for this particular review this format seemed more appropriate
Eight hundred and sixty goddam foot pounds of goddam torque. Somebody get me a wet wipe because I just glued myself to the keyboard.
Your four window filming while driving is great! You get a feel to it. Great job!
This is basically a Texas family sedan.

Hi Alex. You're missing a "W" in To[w] on your yellow banner.
Thought you'd want to know.
Great review thanks!
Great video! Love the detail and presentation.
Great Video! Wonderful comparison between the different brands. Very informative, keep it up.

Graham Clarence nope it's cause of towing actually it's done like that so the f450 has a higher towing capacity
best, most clear review and comparison to date. I made a very informed purchase. Thanks for the help
Another great review. Great job in the detail comparison between other competitors.

Love that color of the king ranch. With the dark red and mocha. Just wish it was a long box
My dad always told us that those stitches were turbos but now that I am older I know what they are really for
Hey Alex, on most pickup trucks, there's a bed cover where you can cover the bed and not have your luggage get wet.

Great review--the best of all the ones I've seen
Just came across your channel! Precise information! Nailed it. SUBSCRIBED!!!
Another amazing review Alex.
Thanks for this video Man !! I just bought a 2016 f250 and the salesman didn't know shit about the truck. I just learned a bunch.

How have your truck work so far ?? Any problems ??
C'mon Alex we need a review for the 2016 Ford Explorer Platinum edition!
I noticed in the on-road segment that it took a lot of steering wheel movement for fairly small changes in direction. Not exactly the Alpha Romeo 4C Spider, eh?

i have a 2015 reg cab f350 and experience the exact same thing every time i drive it. hopefully the lift gate being installed helps that.
I've known guys who have thrown #500 dry cement sacks in the back to calm that.
Just put a camper in the back
Is Diesel truck reliable? Diesel Particulate Filter seems expensive to replace. And how about DEF, is urea gonna make the engine less reliable? THX! Alex, great review!!!
Thank you for the info.
Have a great day, everyone
Beautifully Beautifully done
More Diesels Please

Great review well balanced and informative
The only thing bad on this truck is the MyTouch Sync. Wish it came with Sync 3 because I’m thinking of buying a used F-250.
Fantastic, detailed review. Thank you!
Great review Im waiting for the 2017 dually!
Nice job. I enjoyed the review.
You're quite amazing. Just beginning to look for a truck to carry a camper and tow two horses in a Silverlight trailer. You have been very helpful. Any recommendations?
Nice rundown, THANKS
This is an awesome review.
lariat trim or platinum is my top two picks if platinum is better then lariat is second. for my top pick of Dodge it is Laramie trim or the platinum.
How much would a 2015 Ford F150 Gasoline 4X4 cost ? with a 4 Door , & are you able to get a used 2015 F150 4X4 in gasoline in a V-8 or V-6 models ?
very nicely done review
It's good to include some information about other models but this video seems almost like a comparison test or even a RAM review.
please do an evo x soon Alex!! unless you have and I couldn't find it!
Great review!!!
I wanna know those standards of towing if I should be asked to do some towing by a company I plan on working for then I need to do my homework
I have a 2012 f350 swd diesil. Beside blocks being bigger what all are the differences from swd to dwd. If I want to convert to dually will it be possible?
Great information. Thank you
Range might be a good feature to know instead of the MPG
I’ve seen some 250 and 350’s get 18.5 mpg
Kal Willis hey do 2016 f-350 have any issues I hear they have death wobble is it true or not I’m thinking of getting one

My 2015 mirrors don't fold like that ..unless I just don't know how to do it
Does the 2016 crew have “latch” in the rear seat for car seats.
Does not only anchor points on the rear wall of truck.
I can understand having a lot of hard plastic 👍
Did they only make short beds for f350 or something? Because BOY I hate how it looks with a short bed
Also I don't remember the year of the model but the one that had the different radio center where you could seat one more person was the cooler ones
They have 4' 6' and 8' beds
What is the red car at 12:43? Looks a nice rusty car
+Mike C Looks like a Datsun 240Z
ram 3500 cummins ho aisin single cab 4x2 is the only one that'll max tow. Check out corpuschristiguy's vids and he shows it vs his new '16 f450
Just get a cover for luggage
#رواد_بحره
shut up and take my money
California is the only state that requires a class A for those who are towing more than 10,000lbs.
The interior is fitted with shockingly cheap plastic.
I thought it was the 2017!!!
California is pretty stupid for only permitting 7500 lbs towing. A f150 can tow far more. I'll stay in Texas
+whiteandnerdytuba If you skip to around 22:30 I mention the state laws. TX and CA are similar actually with each state having some differences, however in a nutshell in either state over 10,000lbs of gross trailer weigh rating you're in a different category.
Interior looks terribly cheap. Dont understand that - F150 has a much nicer one - why would this one have worse?
NO 2016 F350 0R 450 HAS A 7000LBS PAYLOAD
