He has the right to do so. Wouldn't you do it in his place? Wouldn't you go to a job where they pay you better and you can better ensure that your family can eat?
The Blue Jays are in a severe pickle. With neither Vlad nor Bo extended beyond this coming season, Soto ain't signing with them. And the team's farm system is abysmal, so no impact trades are incoming. As a Jays fan, it pains me to say that the only thing that makes sense is to trade Vlad now and trade Bo at or before the trade deadline, hoping he reclaims his hitting acumen. Trading Kevin Gausman and/or Chris Bassitt now also makes sense. And they're absolutely stuck with George Springer. This team needs a complete overhaul, full stop. Prez Mark Shapiro paid more attention to building the new Player Development Complex and renovating the Rogers Centre (SkyDome) than he did in minding the 40-man roster. GM Ross Atkins' word salads make Kamala Harris look like an articulate wordsmith, and his trades and FA signings have been mediocre at best, save for Gausman and Jose Berrios (and don't get me started on the Teoscar Hernandez and Lourdes Gurriel, Jr trades). I love my Jays, but the window slammed shut last season. Rebuild, dammit!
Relax, Soto won’t sign until winter meetings or mid Dec, jays have a lot of time to resign vlad or Bichette. Shatkins knows how valuable vlad to jays Canada.
Yes, teams should be the ones paying the majority if not all of the costs for a new stadium. The way it is now, the public pays most of the costs and yet still pay ridiculous ticket prices to watch the games not to mention the crazy prices for food and drinks
I’m a Yankee fan and I’d like him back. But getting the same money or close to, as a soon to be 3 x MVP who also pitches at top level, I’m not sure I want them to do that. Bc then it limits them in filling in other holes and it’s back to scrap heap for reclamation projects. If they sign him I’m not gonna be pissed by weary of what rest of roster will look like. If they don’t sign him, I’ll be bummed. But only for a bit. Bc then it’s like we can fill more holes that they obviously have. Not saying they’d be better with more players over just 1. As good as Soto is. I try to be more realistic and realize that while I’ve been a fan my entire 44 years on earth, it really doesn’t matter. It’s just a game. Still gonna watch. Think they will improve either way. If they’re smart about it.
They are bipolar. They despised the referee at the beginning of the season because of his bad streak and now they love him. Soto should go to a team where the fans are not so inconsiderate with their players and where they really love him.
Nowhere. Boras clients get no play no more. While having a Soto in your lineup is a boost, I don't think anyone is in a hurry to sign a one sided ball player.
i feel for the rays they need that final vote to get their new stadium but Tampa officials are holding it up because they are concerned about beaches that were damaged by the storm. man give that team their new stadium.
Not Dodgers !They are smart enough not sign Soto.Just young no MVP awards just hitting. Then get paid more than Judge or Millie Betts? Those guys are not just hurt but has MVP.
I don’t get why Crochet is considered a bonafide #1 ace by so many people. He had a decent year, but it was his first full season as a starter and he had a mess of injuries last year. Great potential, but not proven. Definitely not in the same tier as Burnes, Snell, of even Fried.
Soto is a great bat , but more than half of his next contract is going to be as a DH. Who knows if he really 26 ( Dominican] , but he is an elite hitter
I’m a Yankee fan and I want Juan Soto to go away. Too much money for a one dimensional player we need too many pieces and the Yankees aren’t gonna go above 300 million in total.
As a Dodger fan I'd like Juan Soto to also go away for the same reasons. 1 dimensional, bloated contract, too many years, Boras client, can't run field or pitch.
don't want Soto back Yankees fan i rather spread the money around he was great would i love to have him back sure but ideally no. we have to build a team and address these holes effectively key word effectively.
Attendance is always below average for the Rays but lately has certainly been far from the last and they do really well with tv ratings. I doubt baseball would leave Tampa Bay but it'd be stupid if they did. P.S. Comparing the Trop to the Coliseum is so dumb. The Trop isn't nearly bad enough for the commissioner to constantly trash it.
Why would anyone sign with the Jays when the taxes are crazy high ? You can sign for way less money with any other team and still make more than with any Canadian team. Thats why no Canadian hockey team has won the Stanley cup in decades
Not like the TB franchise has been lucrative. Nashville & Montreal, pronto. Yanks better get a decision soon. Losing Soto frees up Right for Judge. Many holes to fill.
Yeah they said they aren't raising payroll so it doesn't matter how much money they have. Plus why would Soto sign with the loser Jays when the NY teams will give him the money anyways
@@leam89no, they've said signing Soto, just like signing Ohtani last season, would not be factored into the current payroll projection. For superstars they'll have a separate budget they will work from.
If the Jays had Vlad and Soto signed to long term deals then they wouldnt be spending on much else because thats like 1/3rd of the total payroll on just two players
Soto will go where the $$$ are. He would sign with a team from Afghanistan tomorrow if they offered him 15 yrs/$750M.
as he should
He has the right to do so. Wouldn't you do it in his place? Wouldn't you go to a job where they pay you better and you can better ensure that your family can eat?

When Yankees fans are finding reasons why they don’t want Soto it’s because they think he’s leaving for the Mets 🤣
Price is too high at 660 but it's not our money. They need more pieces.

Yankees need to fix multiple positions, so Soto shouldn't be their # 1 priority. They need speed, youth and smart team players
Without Soto, Yankees don’t go far in the playoffs. They need Soto.
i feel for the rays they need that final vote to get their new stadium but Tampa officials are holding it up because they are concerned about beaches that were damaged by the storm. man give that team their new stadium.

Made my ears perk up when he shouted out York pa lol

best title for this segment: I Juan to Know
Imagine playing in SLC with all that dry salty air

You are never going to win a ring again with that mindset. Dodgers and others will always outbid and outplay you.

Anywhere but here in the Bronx. He is over-hyped to the sickening level. His contract will be the worst contract in MLB history.
Kenny ballgame is back!
the A's i think when it's all said and done will be in Utah
Vegas has already started construction on new stadium
I live in NC and imo Charlotte won’t have enough support to have a viable MLB team.
As i gaze upon the future of MLB expansion crazy talk
soto is gong to nats where being carrer with makes sence dont for get for won champs 2019 rays be going to montreal or oakland they need now
So why would a pitcher want to sign or go to Baltimore
Welcome back Ken! Do you think a team will sign Justin Turner or is that it? Time to retire? He would make a perfect 1st base coach for the Dodgers!
Nobody gives a fuck about turner is all about soto now
@@JorgeFeliz-v4l The teams who aren't going to sign Soto don't give a shit about where Soto goes.
@ nobody gives a fuck about your or Justin turner juan soto is the best player in the game
They can’t afford the best player
Why would anyone sign with the Jays when the taxes are crazy high ? You can sign for way less money with any other team and still make more than with any Canadian team. Thats why no Canadian hockey team has won the Stanley cup in decades
Canada tax in general is the same living in New York, California and any other big USA city
Soto to the Knicks
Why isn't Mexico City upon consideration ?
Not like the TB franchise has been lucrative. Nashville & Montreal, pronto. Yanks better get a decision soon. Losing Soto frees up Right for Judge. Many holes to fill.
Your Willie Mays analogy is stupid.
you think they didn’t view stolen bases valuable in his day?
Could it be the Oakland Rays?
Lol no owner wants their team in Oakland
800 millon
A’s could use him.
Rays go to Orlando
Soto isn’t going to the Sox
He’s not passan so..
Mets
Toronto has never been a destination for stars they have to get them through trades
Go yankees soto
It will NOT be the Blue Jays, even though the Jays ownership have very, very deep pockets.
Yeah they said they aren't raising payroll so it doesn't matter how much money they have. Plus why would Soto sign with the loser Jays when the NY teams will give him the money anyways
