i have noted the temperature difference using thermal paste and toothpaste but i prefer thermal paste as toothpaste dries off and after a few days your cpu starts over heating, actually i burnt 2 ryzon`s using it.
use vaseline+toothpaste mixture, a vaseline will prevent toothpaste from drying, or you can invest some money in the thermal paste.
