Great question! You can start posting on social media and blogging about your opening process years ahead of opening! Sharing your story and allowing your customers behind the scenes of your business ALL the way from idea to opening day is a great way to have an audience lining up waiting to visit and its also a great way to build up long-term SEO benefits on your website and build your email list! Check out @tumblesplaycafe on instagram- she is a Play Cafe Academy member and she has been sharing her opening journey for a year now and is getting ready to open this week! I just posted a tour of her space last week and am going back in a few days to show the transformation! This is an older video and ive discussed this a lot in follow up videos but in my experience as soon as the lease is signed, talking loudly and proudly and sharing far and wide is not only the easiest way to have a successful opening- it actually deters competition- temporarily at least! Sooo many parents have the dream of opening a play cafe. The concept isn't new anymore. Only a very tiny percentage of those actually open. If they're determined to open, they will. The benefit to spreading the word and getting pre bookings is MUCH higher than the potential risk of competition!
