- Beginning our search for 21-year-old Harry Milligan who has been missing since July of 1984 from Albia, Iowa. We have searched extensively across several visits. This is the first episode of the series.
There are several rumors and speculations surrounding Harry's case and we have worked with Mark and Lori to rule out each one of these locations.

While you may not have found Harry yet, it sounds as though you have dispelled a number of rumours, given a number of people a sense of peace and ruled out a number of places where Harry isn’t. Just as importantly you searched with respect for the families and landowners, I’m sure everyone appreciates your sensitivity. Thank you for all you do, I hope you can provide answers for the family soon.

Thinking about Harry, I realized we went to the same university in Kirksville, MO. He was there in the Spring of '84 and I was there in the Fall of '84. While living in the dorms, I would go to the study room and play the piano and everyday I did that a young man would show up to listen. He was dressed up in a military uniform. This man may have known Harry. I was too shy to even talk to the man back then, so I never knew his name. If I may make an observation.
As a survivor of Breast Cancer, 2 heart attacks and pulmonary failure, I've noticed some of the heavy breathing you are doing Jacob and it's definitely indicitive of high blood pressure!
Please Jacob go get checked! You have to take care of you too!❤ Because without you we have no leader in this magnificent world of finding lost loved ones!
I have been told I care to much for people, but I say there is not enough of that! People are more important than things in life. We only get one shot at life, so we have to get it right that one and only time.

Since it's been close to 40 years, due to the leaves and debris over the years, I would throw a magnet on anything that looks like an anomaly. Especially in these small ponds where water doesn't move, debris builds up yearly. Since your already there, what harm would it be. I hope you find this soldier,to bring him home for the family. Keep up the good work guys.

I'm sorry about Mr Milligan's disappearance and the rumors surrounding it. Thank you Lindsay, Eric and Jacob for doing the hard work of clearing these waters. Agree with Eric on the point of the landowners wanting to have their areas cleared, it's nice to get closure even if the body isn't found.

I was glad you dragged the magnet on the grass. I seen Nug & Adam looking for a real old missing car & person & their magnet picked up a spark plug from a car matching it. Unfortunately they chose not to dive. I'd think a car missing almost 4 decades may have fallen apart. In rivers where they were barges go over.

Love and prayers to Harry's family. The not knowing where he is along with all the rumors must be so frustrating. Jacob, Lindsay, and Eric - thank you for at least proving where he is not and therefore squashing some of the rumors. Maybe now that some of the rumors have been squashed, you might get some more truthfull information from people who also believed in the rumors. Maybe someone will come forward with some information now that they know it is a possibility since he is not in the 8 or so ponds you checked. I pray the Good Lord brings you to Harry so that his brother can finally relax and not wonder his whole life.

Thanks for the hard work searching for this Marine brother of mine, I was in bootcamp 1 year and 7 days after he went missing. You would be surprised how many supposed tough guys from this era of time would try to test you when they found out you were a Marine. And if you took out one you were likely going to have to fight all of his buddies at once if it didn't start that way to begin with. I hope he can be found maybe in the winter when the grass has died back, after 38 years grass could be growing on the sediment that would have been building up on top especially when you add on the dying grass falling on top of the car over all these years.

It's still the same way I got out of the Marines in 2001 and literally all of my Gf's or Wives Brothers have tried me at some point lol

Those locations looked so tranquil and perfect for a fun day out fishing or a picnic. Too bad he was not found on this search but maybe next time. The old cold cases are so hard bc there is no cellphone pings, door cameras or documentation on replacing guard rails. I keep posting on my Facebook about how dedicated and interesting y'all are to try to get y'all more subscribers. I can not contribute financially bc I have been sick lately and my rent has gone up so much but my goal is to get you to 1 million subs by the end of 2023. I really think you can get there. You guys are genuine heros and work so hard in the heat and cold as well as dangerous waters such a currents, depths, obstacles or gaters. You take a lot of time away from your own families to do this. You guys are great and loved by many. Keep diving....its not worth it to stop.

Keep up the Great Work you do, searching, diving, removing vehicles, recovering loved ones, the hours of researching, taking time to get the story of the missing and the time, respect, & love you show the families, you take time from your own lives and families to travel everywhere searching for people you do not know. You keep yourself up to date on how things change from environments, waters, laws, keep yourself incheck, safe, and etc..The mental, emotional, and physical toll it takes to do all this can only be done by special blessed people Thank You for being those people all of you Jacob, Eric, Lindsay. All 3 of you have made changes in your own lives done things just to do for strangers, do classes, become certified divers, keep up on your training and so much more. It is not easy for most people to make changes in their own lives and then to make changes to serve or to do for strangers is difficult. Then you record, edit, and put together videos to share these people's stories, to share what you have and are going to do, so that inturns helps get the word out and helps put the funds to go do it again and again. Given the time and era he came up through, this one gets the "If a Marine doesn't want to be found, you won't find him until he's ready"... Wonder if bringing some Marine recon vets from that era and area might give insight into Marine logic of where would make sense to search because you're dealing with a different mindset than the typical person you'd be looking for (other than the sharp curve/knocked out accident possibilities of where the roads were in 1984...)
Everyone wants to see the video where you find someone. This is what leads up to that. It is good to be able to see the process. This shows the people that, like me, support you, what it takes to ultimately find someone. That is why I like these videos also. Keep up the good work!! I will add this, not everyone using sonar to search for something/someone has the blessing of being coached by Dennis Watters. You have that blessing. It is a *gift*. And, you are using it well.

I started watching this I guess 2 months ago and for some reason took a 2 month hiatus as I finished watching and knowing I am going to get caught up a thought that occurred to me towards the end of this video is that not only are you helping and finding or helping and clearing but you are also healing if not only giving people like this man hope to find answers and even though you aren't therapist I'm sure the outlet of being able to tell his story and participate in helping is bigger then any of us can imagine.

Jacob and Lindsey i have some ideas for you and i have extensively looked at the 1990-2021 photogrammetry maps side by each and might be able to offer some assistance if you would like any help with logistics
William , just heads up Harry went missing july 1, 1984. I’m sure the maps would have roughly stayed the same? Right? I lived there my whole life.
online photogrammetry aerial flyover mapping is able to be zoomed into so that you can see changes in the ground and or cover or debris piles in river ponds and the changes from year to year its a very important tool in missing person cases where there are flood waters and or overflow drainage due to storms

@@williammcintosh4761 hey this is Nicholas Logan from Ohio and I totally agree with you, I'm an environmental technician and use to be a ranger with the army corps of engineers and used that technology for my studies and projects , over time alot changes and people would be surprised how much the ground moves and changes. Hand held gps and gis technologies and with some survey maps can help like wise.
