I've been playing the "Grocery Game" for 14 years. When our staples are on sale I purchase enough for 12 weeks. Now that I have a good stockpile I rarely pay full price for anything. I meal plan from my pantry and spend my monthly budget on sale items.
Many times I think soap is left in the clothes. Try a extra rinse where you put a little vinegar in the rinse. It will help rise all the soap out making you less likley to react to the soap.
Many stores have a Senior Day where you get a discount if you're over a certain age. Here our local grocery store and our Dollar General do this on Wednesdays.
Totally agree on this video I also watch the sales and bulk buy when on special the cost of groceries in Australia at the moment is unbelievable as it would be in the USA we do what we need to do to keep food on the table. Thank you for this haul video and well done on the savings.

My Hy-Vee in southern Minnesota is crazy expensive. I used to work there and the employees talked all the time that they had to go elsewhere for food the 10% discount didn't even help.
Great haul. You are correct we all need to stock our pantries. Prices are only going higher. I’ve backed off from ordering a lot from Azure since I’ve been able to get more things locally and for a little cheaper than Azure.
I saw Hy-Vee on one of your products you were showing. I live in Central Missouri. Unfortunately the closest Hy-vee is Jefferson City which is an hour and 46 minutes away.😢Great haul. Thank you for buying normal food to fit your budget. I would love to buy organic all the time but unfortunately I can’t afford to like so many of us. It upsets me that some people try to shame us because of it.
My local store had 5lb bags of potatoes for sale for .50c each. I dont normally buy potatoes except middle of fall because the quality is SO BAD here. Ex northerner in south. But in fall we get fresh/good ones and ill buy a bunch and make and freeze baked potato soup to spread out through the year. So i bought 8 bags (40lbs) and made and froze about 40q of soup, and made extra to eat and for mashed potatoes. My younger teen even peeled about half the potatoes for me. Generally i only freeze like 8q, but it was such a screaming good deal at an ideal time. Couldnt pass that up!
Holy crap! You hit the jackpot, nice haul. These are excellent prices. I do wonder if there's a regional difference between your old hood and your new one...I feel like there has to be. I've rearranged the entire way we shop since the world fell apart. I literally only shop the sales and that's it. I keep a price book of my bottom dollar stock-up price on each staple item and have figured out the sale cycle and how many I need based on what we use. Then I watch for them to go on sale and grab what I need. Once you have a good stock built up (we keep a year or so on hand for the two of us), that's really all you need to do to keep it maintained and even grow it within your existing budget. Especially if you also have a garden and utilize local resources for meat and produce that you're not growing yourself. This change has insulated us from inflation for the most part and we haven't had to go without our luxuries...like my Zevia.
There could be differences but it’s hard to say. In my local town it’s crazy more expensive but Springfield seems pretty similar. Im not at your level but I’m workin on it! That’s amazing!
Great haul, I would have grabbed many of the same items. Oddly enough I’m allergic to many laundry detergents but I do well with The brand you purchased but only the oxi one. I can’t tolerate Tide, Gain, Pyrex or All. 🤷🏽♀️

Anna, I need to know where you shopped at. I am going shopping this weekend. Have you been to Shetler yet? I love that place but you have to be mindful of the exp dates. I know some dates don't matter as much bit refrigerated stuff I watch dates on. Also, if you can use it I did a video on making a 5 gallon bucket of laundry soap for the cost of a bar of Zote bar soap. Just an idea as it's very mild. I did add washing soda and oxyclean to mine, you can also add essential oils to it. It's worth it.
I have made soap before but it’s been a while. I didn’t try adding oxy clean so maybe that would be worth another try! I have been to shetlers, they seem to have decent deals on some things
I’ve been working on building my food storage to have enough for a year. I have always shopped sales. Having a food stockpile allows you to never have to pay full price for anything you buy! I only shop sales each week and never pay full price because now my pantry is always stocked! It makes shopping each week so much easier. Great job on your haul!! So glad you asked what store. Yay! I have a Hy-Vee locally. I’m running to the store tomorrow. I used to be a big couponed and only shop sales when my 3 boys lived at home. They are all grown and have their own families now. But I still shop sales. I don’t eat much with being an empty nester now. I always try to keep 6 months of food in the house. We have Hyvee in Kearney which is 1 hour 1 way so I can't go very often because it's so much gas. However I always watch the ads and try to go on a good ad week. Hyvee normal prices IMO are really high however they have great sales. I just get the sale items. They have a can of diced tomatoes that has garlic and olive oil. We have that every friday on sourdough flatbread as app before the sourdough pizza. Get one of the diced tomatoes with garlic and olive oil and try it! I have never found one as good.

No, I went to the store and did the shopping. The sale is not still going on but they’ve always got various sales going on! Especially now for Christmas cooking season!
@@FermentedHomestead Last month the Hy-Vee had butter $0.99 each 1 pound I bought 50 and Cereal shredded wheat 20 oz box $ 0.99 each I bought 25 boxes. The next week butter was on sale for $ 1.49 the next week $ 1.99 the next week $ 2.49 then back to full price $ 5.99. So I have butter for almost 2 years now in the freezer.
I wish I could shop sales but I live in the middle of nowhere, 2-2.5 hrs in every direction to a city. Your regular prices are half of mine but I'm also in Canada... The only thing I can get in my grocery store for .99 are the clearance produce. 😅 But our produce is pretty much clearance quality when it comes off the truck. It's lovely. 😅😅😅

Just because something says organic, doesn't meant it's 100% true. I know my home grown foods are organic, but then when I see chem trails, I start to wonder..... I will eat whatever to keep from starving. Glad to know that your family will too.

I do the best I can with what I have, when I can do organic I do but that’s mostly to avoid glyphosate whenever possible but it’s not always possible
