    You're so great for making these! Your videos are the most helpful I've found so far. They're well paced and your voice is so clear.

      Thank you ! Eventhough many have requested to keep the music off ! Maybe it is a distraction for some ! Which is totally understandable.✌🏼

    wait a minute in Arabic can be expressed in various of ways :
    you can say :
    la7tha = 2estana shwaya = 2entather la7tha= 2entather daqeqa = daqeqa
    this what comes to my mind right now ; use what's seems comfortable to you

    mmmmm it took me time to figure this out :p , it the wife of your uncle from your mother side you can call her (my uncle wife) / (mart 5ali/ khali) , and the husband of aunt from your mother side , you can call him ( jooz 5alti/khalti - my aunt husband) or (3ami- out of respect) both of them work. :)

    Wow, they don't make it easy, do they?! haha Now, what if you want to say, "I have 30 first cousins"? Since there is no one word for cousin, is this even possible?

  • @79Sawsan
    @79Sawsan  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    No no big families , and everyone has a title hahah , cousins in Arabic is (2awlad 3am/3amah) Which means the sons of uncle/aunt from father's side , (banat 3am/3amah) daughters of uncle/aunt from mothers side , (2awlad 5al/5alah) means sons of uncle from mothers side , (banat 5al/5alah) daughters of uncle/aunt from mother's side.
    I hope it made sense lol , good luck

    how do you pronounce numerals in the texts such as 3a2ela?

    • @27boof
      @27boof 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      The numeral 3 is used to denote the Arabic letter "ein" (pron eye-n), but it is a sound made deep in the throat, kinda like as if someone's strangling you :) It does not exist in the English language. Usually when you see it, it will have a vowel sound much like the "A" in "Father" (a dark kind of "A"). One very common phrase in Arabic is "M3a Salama" (meaning "Goodbye", but more literally "with peace"/go in peace). The English numeral 2 is written to denote a glottal stop. We make this sound at the very, very beginning of the name "Andy", or the word "At". Just say the word "At" 10 times in a row & pay attention to how you begin the letter "A". Then, don't even pronounce the "t" in "At". Just say "A" "A" "A". It's also in our "Uh-oh!". The very beginning of "Uh" & the very beginning of "Oh". This sound is called a glottal stop (in English), but in Arabic it is written with a little symbol called "Hamza". Hamza looks like a mirror image of our number 2. (Hamza is not actually a letter in the Arabic alphabet, but a very commonly used symbol which is written whenever a "glottal stop" is needed).
