I don't understand the negative comments here! In my opinion this is the easiest, most informative and quick tutorial for making fire poi I've seen so far! Thanks for sharing, I know it looks simple but a lot of trials and errors and experience went into finding this kind of design
The problem is, there's a hundred videos out there showing how to form a monkey fist knot - it's a very popular technique used for lots of things before poi. For a video specifically about the poi (good videos sorely needed), with 13mm kevlar rope costing about £13/$17 a meter, it's nice to know whether you are ordering 5 meters or 20. or why you use swivels with ball bearings and not just any swivel from a fishing store, or how to ensure it's properly tight, or how to connect the swivel within your chain etc. etc.
i was lookingat your website - i couldn't find hte swivels or the handles. would you be able to offer assistance? i'd like to buy whats needed to make myself a pair.
@@FireloversIcom and one more thing... do you need more meters and than cut it? In order to be able to tighten it up... if I buy 10 meters of Kevlar rope I will not be able to make two heads right?
lovely! can you tell us, or put in the description the tools and the length of the cevlar rope per each poi head? if I wanna do 3 heads, how much do I have to buy, and how big the fist is gonna be? thanks

@@StiTchEvidence I agree that it would be nice to know how many meteres that is, he used 4 arms span which could be anywhere between 4 and 8 meters
Hey, what size of rope did you used and how long was it for one poi?
Tip: those swivels can be found where fishing gear is sold.
You can buy it at firelovers.com firelovers.com/en/poi-accessories/201633-bearing-roller-middle.html
a material list would have been nice, you could've even stuck it in the description section of your video.
Aw man! thanks so much for posting this! Was so much help in making a set of poi to learn with!

It depends on which final diameter you need. For this tutorial. About 5 meters.
@@FireloversIcom 5m for both heads or only for one?

@@FireloversIcom Hi! Sorry you missed the question from @lusiagarsia : 5 m for 1 or 2 heads?
Thank you for this...watching it in silence was effective

If you mean the metal part inside the poi, it is Split pin.

Hey! Did you find out how much length is required per poi head?
@@joecox5151 from personal expierence making this knot you need abt 4.5 feet per head for this kind of fluffyness of rope
You need at least double @@JPike223
how many meters of rope do you need in total?

They are a ton of monkey fist tutorials on the internet however the only difference is they're done with paracord but it's the same thing
Useless.
