Only by understanding the Spanish language (MEX) so be it for English and Russian I am blind. However, the basic thing that consoled me was turning it on and off and landing. I hope to find some manual I write at least in English to translate it, because just watching your video I managed to pilot this beautiful plane. Accustomed to flying only with: Turn on CTRL + E, Turn off CTRL + MAY + E, Autopilot Z, Keep altitude CTRL + Z, Keep Speed CTRL + R, etc. etc. But this at least for me is from another world and has completely immersed me in the simulator. The Tu 154 is equipped with an "INS" navigation system, but its "native" navigation system (shown in this video) is based on the principle of specifying distances and corners of the map; it is a simple navigation system very similar to "INS", but instead of the coordinates of the terrain in this system are sets the distances and angles (from point to point), "VOR DME" is also available for autopilot, "VOR1" is called "АЗ-I", "VOR2" is called "АЗ-II" (on top of autopilot panel)
What happens in the cut between 51:49 and 51:50 to get the yellow "дальн автон" lights (and the red flashing warning light) to go out? дальн автон is "long distance car" but I don't know what that means in aviation terms.

On the front panel next to Air-Ground speed indicator there's and instrument that shows RSBN bearing and distance (even in "VOR mode" the bearing is true). When you fly long enough by NVU a certain positional error builds up (also there's often a starting error because the route is laid from the middle of the runway whereas you seldom enable NVU computer exactly at this point; normally you enable it just before takeoff and thus end up being off by half the runway length). So it is desirable to perform NVU corrections during the flight (at least once close to arrival). On active NVU set top counter is labeled САМОЛЕТ ("airplane") and bottom counter is labeled МАЯК ("beacon"). On inactive NVU set bottom counter is labeled ПУНКТ ("waypoint"). The meaning of "airplane" and "waypoint" was described in previous post. To perform NVU correction we need to provide beacon coordinates in the coordinate system of the current leg, and true leg bearing (i.e. the true heading of vector originating at the RSBN station and parallel to the current leg). Coordinates go to "beacon", and heading is dialed into the instrument located next to booster switches cover on the panel between the seats. For the example (and because I can't fly with my current setup) we'll perform NVU correction on the ground. Here's how it's done (in the text below I assume you followed the steps from this post and NVU is ready for KSFO-KOMA route): Open NVU Calculator dialog, select the first leg, in "Beacon ident for selected leg" enter OAK and press "Add". You will see beacon info appear in the leg list. S,Z are it's coordinates and UK ("map angle") is true leg heading. Select first leg again, press "Load selected". Beacon S,Z will be loaded into NVU and heading will be loaded to where it belongs as described above. Close the dialog. On overhead enable RSBN power and the neighbor switch ("VOR mode"). Dial OAK frequency (116.8MHz). Both yellow lights should be off (we have signal on both channels), and distance and azimuth should show in the instrument (for runway 28R they are 17.1km, 223.4T). Now recall I said earlier that the coordinates in "airplane" (Z=0,S=-42.5km for runway 28R) are actually of the runway middle point, but we are at the edge. If you enable NVU correction switch now you'll see how they will be adjusted by correction process (the КОРР green light on NVU panel and корр ВКЛ green light on front panel will turn on). When digit wheels stabilize disable the correction. To make the correction process smooth if distance or azimuth signal is lost while the correction is turned on the yellow light will go on for the channel as said above, and NVU will compute missing value, i.e. the instrument that shows RSBN distance and azimuth will stay alive as if the signal is there (this is what "autonomous" in the light label means). NOTE: in flight you must disable NVU autopilot mode before correction (by switching it to "heading hold mode" (СБРОС ПРОГР. button)). Also, as I mentioned earlier, Flight Manual explicitly forbids to fly with enabled correction (that is, for prolonged periods of time). That's it!

Sorry, one last question. How to enable manual pitch (elevator) trim in Tu-154? I used joyserver to set up up/down buttons but it's not working. If I fly manually the plane always wants to nose down.. :(

Hello. Nice video and all, but my Tupolev missing a few gauges (both in the 2D panel and in the VC), and the 90's model gives the simulator a huge FPS drop, when I start up a flight. Is there any solution to these problems? I use FSX Steam Edition.
I'm having trouble with the ils. It seems to always go off course. I put my courses in the radios and hsi, but when Iand I'm too the left. And sometimes it won't even fly the correct course. What am I doing wrong? Thank you! Great video!

Navigation outside of Russia is not a problem,but I wonder how the autopilot works(in terms of initialization-there should be a yoke displayed on the AP unit),I just can't get it works perfectly(at hydraulic system)and it always bleep when I press the blue button.

two reasons:
1. the position of the aircraft beyond the limits of regulation (too much roll or pitch)
2. "сontrol wheels" not in the default position
