I think the attention to the dynamics is a big part of what makes your playing so beautiful and somehow meaningful to me. It just adds that extra layer that transform the lines from interesting to magical. I love this stuff; thanks for sharing these things!
I love all of your videos. I remember you at UNT. You were inspirational then. I quit playing for quite a few years, but I've started playing again. My music has taken a different direction, but I'm still learning from you. I just subscribed! Thanks!
Hey Tim, thanks for the lesson! Two quick questions: 1)do you roll your tone knob off much, or do you prefer to leave it on 10 most of the time? 2) Would you mind doing a video on your classical vibrato technique? I’ve played for years and have just used the more typical BB king blues rock etc vibrato because the best I can get with classical style is a very mild almost imperceptible variation in tone and pitch. For the life of me I could never get it to work for me and I don’t know why. Thanks
Cristal clear musician and instructor,I'm always impressed by Tim's playing dynamic and articulation
Sounds great. Related to pull-off descending lines are Holdsworth's descending hammer-ons. Not much coverage of that technique anywhere.
