This has a hint of Little Richard, especially with the scream leading into the guitar solos. Check out LR’s Good Golly Miss Molly, then listen to CCR’s swampy cover of it. It’s a banger for sure.
Yes, it's an homage to Little Richard. My dad TOM FOGERTY and my Uncle JOHN FOGERTY and the whole band loved Little Richard, they learned how to play copying him growing up. JEFF FOGERTY
Brad nails another one. This song is the progression of 50's rock-n-roll as, at the time CCR did this song, the 50's was only a few years previous. It still resonated with listeners of the 60's and early 70's. Unlike today if a band were to come out with that sound most audiences would be looking at the band like they had just landed on a space ship from MARS.
They are top 5 of all bands through history, and his voice wow, i seen him one time perform in Sweden, it come some tears, because i have always loved them
Great Reaction you two! So glad you can feel the vibe we lived in and your appreciation for that time when rock ‘n roll changed the dynamic of a new culture! Those were the days, as I bought the Cosmos Factory album in 1970 (9th grade) and been a fan ever since!
To me one of their best!! Big fan since the start in 68 with Suzie Q.Still my favorite group of all time. John is still performing mid 70s. Has to be good!! There would be a revolution if they weren't in Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.
I've always felt alone in how much impact this song has to rock n roll till these reactions video's started coming out. I remember how felt when this song hit the radio. Now it's so easy to get the message out. And she is sooooo adorable ❤❤❤
Awesome song. I had a band that we started 20 years ago. We practiced twice, learned this song, got it tight. And then the other guitarist (tone deaf, but owned all the sound equipt.) wanted to be the singer, and that was the end of our band. I can impersonate a lot of the gravely voiced classic rock singers like Fogerty, Rod Stewart, Joe Cocker, and Bob Seger.
When you do "Suzie Q", _please_ make sure to do the full version. Either the 8-minute studio version, or one of the 10+ minute live versions that are out there.
So glad you are listening to more CCR! I can listen to them all day. They have so many more to choose from. This is the perfect group to play at a crawfish boil!
This song (of all of their songs) was for a while when it was current my favorite song and thus also my favorite Credence song!! God I loved it! These days I do not claim a favorite Credence song (or an overall favorite) because it's completely impossible to choose 🙂. Glad you guys liked it, too. My Dad knew this was my jam, so he bought me my first-ever own record, Cosmo's Factory, which has this song on it, and so many other great ones.
You guys should react to more Creedence Clearwater Revival… "I Put a Spell On You", "Susie Q", "Run Through the Jungle", "Sweet Hitch Hiker", "Someday Never Comes", "Hey Tonight", "Commotion", "Up Around The Bend", "Long As I Can See The Light" 🎸🤘
CCR is definitely a vibe. Nobody comes close to their sound. I HIGHLY recommend watching John Fogerty performing Bad Moon Rising and Fortunate Son at Howard Stern's 2014 Birthday Bash. (search it on TH-cam). Amazing performance!
Before I even listen to your reaction, I want to say I'm leaving a like in anticipation. My elder brother introduced me to CCR when he was about 16, and I was about 8. This was my favorite song of their's from the Cosmo's Factory album. Can't wait to watch you guys react to it! Peace!
Can anyone imagine these guys from El Cerrito used to sing on the street in front of Woolworth (Opposite The Emporium) where the Cable Cars start and than went four blocks away to the Union Square and sang there than short time later were singing on National TV from the Regency which is about 10 blocks from the Union Square?
My God you guys crack me up. And yeah man I love CCR so much! I like every one of their songs literally. And they're one of those bands where almost all of their songs are about something other than a romantic attachment. That is exactly the reverse of almost every band. They're just all across the map and fantastic but they all have that CCR sound to them and I agree there's always at least a little bit of swamp somewhere in there. I would totally kill to see you guys react to their song, it came out of the sky. It's a total Banger and the lyrics are hilarious for the time but I would definitely get a lyric video cuz after all it's John Fogerty and they're making so many references that make sense back then like to the White House and to the Pope and Jody is just as poor farmer that lives in the middle of nowhere when this meteor or whatever the hell it is comes flying out of the sky and smashes into his farm field. It's just a banger for sure.
Easily one of my top three CCR songs. The energy is off the charts, and it's just an undeniable and relentless rock and roll classic! John Fogarty is a national treasure.
Got to love a band that played concerts in the clothes they showed up in, all music, no stage show. You know these guys didn't go through a wardrobe department before the show.
CCR has a lot of great songs with a lot of different feels. This one is the most badass rock song they ever did, imo. I love it. This is also a great reaction.
Watching Lex groove to Creedence is one of life's blessings.
John Fogerty has one of those voices that he would sing the abc’s and I’d still listen on repeat. I love CCR!! great reaction guys! As always.
I laughed because I remember a song from his solo career called I Saw It On TV
No autotune fakes - just pure talent 👍
This song is the true epitome of Rock n Roll. CCR was so damn good, and was so popular back in those days. Man, their stuff holds up well even today.
This has a hint of Little Richard, especially with the scream leading into the guitar solos. Check out LR’s Good Golly Miss Molly, then listen to CCR’s swampy cover of it. It’s a banger for sure.
Looking to see if anybody said it.
Yes. Much more little Richard than Elvis. If any body likes Canned heat they did a song with little Richard called rockin with the king.
It's a 12 bar blues.
Yes, it's an homage to Little Richard. My dad TOM FOGERTY and my Uncle JOHN FOGERTY and the whole band loved Little Richard, they learned how to play copying him growing up. JEFF FOGERTY
I agree, more then just a hint. Fogerty, McCartney...only a handful of singers back then 'could do a great L. Richard'.
Brad nails another one. This song is the progression of 50's rock-n-roll as, at the time CCR did this song, the 50's was only a few years previous. It still resonated with listeners of the 60's and early 70's. Chuck Berry style, but harder.
This guy blows
Yup - retro rock.
@@r.plante2916 if Chuck Berry and Jerry Lee Lewis had a kid and abandoned him in the swamp.
That's not true. Alabama Shakes released a song called Heavy Chevy a few years ago that is classic rock and roll and it kills.
They are top 5 of all bands through history, and his voice wow, i seen him one time perform in Sweden, it come some tears, because i have always loved them
Top 1 to me !😀
Saw him in Kungsbacka around 2004-2005 and some years ago at Liseberg. Dude's still rocking it!
Great Reaction you two! So glad you can feel the vibe we lived in and your appreciation for that time when rock ‘n roll changed the dynamic of a new culture! Those were the days, as I bought the Cosmos Factory album in 1970 (9th grade) and been a fan ever since!
Why does Brad look so confused!?!? Rock and Roll! Whoo! Yeah!
To me one of their best!! Big fan since the start in 68 with Suzie Q.Still my favorite group of all time. John is still performing mid 70s. Has to be good!! There would be a revolution if they weren't in Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.
Lex girl...you kill me! You are so frickin adorable and I love how you crack Brad UP!!
PLEASE do Susie Q. 👍❤🤙
You guys gotta hit CCR’s “Suzy Q”…it has that rock/swampy vibe that Lex enjoys👍🏼😊….
Oooh yes please!!
Either CCR, or the original by Dale Hawkins
@@adamrichards3174 I'd say listen to the original first then CCR 2nd. Both are excellent
This song is number 1 on my favorites list. Thank you from my heart!❤️
Dance, dance Lex
THANK YOU!!! Someone finally listened to 'Travelin Band!" The best CCR song ever. I listen to a classic rock station, and they never play this song.
Hard edged rock-a-billy. Gets my blood pumping.
Creedence never disappoint.
I've always felt alone in how much impact this song has to rock n roll till these reactions video's started coming out. I remember how felt when this song hit the radio. Now it's so easy to get the message out. And she is sooooo adorable ❤❤❤
I love you guys .. Thank you for sharing your life and laughter..
Great reaction! Love CCR the twang in his voice is one of a kind, so unique

Everything about this song is perfect. It GROOVES!
Brad & Lex you'll love their "Up Around The Bend"& "Sweet Hitch-Hiker"!!!
Best two CCR bangers after Travelin' Band.
Lex, you crack me up☮️❤️🙏
If you haven't yet, their version of "Heard it Through the Grapevine" (the long cut especially) is once of the best ever covers
You can hit the man with a brick and he dont wanna move. Lighten up my man
This song (of all of their songs) was for a while when it was current my favorite song and thus also my favorite Credence song!! God I loved it! It’s about time somebody did this one! Some many great CCR songs but this is one of my favorites! Hits different and is a rocker! Love it!
Swamp and Roll....lol
Definitely a great band. I always enjoy your reactions.
CCR had a lot of great hits. Love John's screams in this one. Thanks, cats.
You guys should react to more Creedence Clearwater Revival…
"I Put a Spell On You", "Susie Q", "Run Through the Jungle", "Sweet Hitch Hiker", "Someday Never Comes", "Hey Tonight", "Commotion", "Up Around The Bend", "Long As I Can See The Light"
🎸🤘
Oh, man. All great songs, but Someday Never Comes busts me up. Even thinking about it right now.
Hey Tonight is great.
“Walk On The Water”. “Wrote A Song For Everyone”, “(Wish I Could) Hideaway” “Night Time Is The Right Time”...
CCR unlimited hits.
I Heard it Through the Grapevine is a 10
Rock n roll and swamp....F Yes!!! Thanks for this, I've never before seen live footage from this song.
CCR is definitely a vibe. Nobody comes close to their sound. I HIGHLY recommend watching John Fogerty performing Bad Moon Rising and Fortunate Son at Howard Stern's 2014 Birthday Bash. (search it on TH-cam). Amazing performance!
These guys just did not know how to make a bad song
It was John Fogerty that did not know how to make/write a bad song! He told the other guys what he wanted them to play!
This was a John Fogerty tribute to Little Richard!
Fogerty is now 75 and can still scream out this song. You should check out some of John's later work. He is just awesome.
Hi!! This could be my favorite CCR song with Down on the Corner. Many thanks for your funny reactions!
Best regards from Chile 🙂
you guys always make me smile. thanks for that!!
John Fogerty tours regularly. You guys should keep an eye out.
He basically was CCR. Wrote and arranged the songs, sang and played lea guitar.
Lexi's groovin.....😄😄😄😄😄
Lexi: Great physical reaction.
That band are so on the money so much of the time ..great pick guys
Ccr is an insanely good band!!
oh so many hits back in the day! CCR legendary band!
Lexi you are so right all the way
So awesome Amazing
Viet Nam veteran John Forgety
Before I even listen to your reaction, I want to say I'm leaving a like in anticipation. My elder brother introduced me to CCR when he was about 16, and I was about 8. This was my favorite song of their's from the Cosmo's Factory album. Can't wait to watch you guys react to it! Peace!
Great rocking tune by CCR..I think this is the most I've seen Brad move to a song
Wish I could subscribe twice. You guys are always fun!
Lex has got mad playlist skillz!
LOL Swamp n roll!
this song rawks! ♥
My favorite CCR song!
Omg….in jr high school this was a number one and I LOVED this ❣️
You wanna feel so soul? Listen to CCR “ put a candle in the window” short and soulful. Keep on keeping on….
"Yes",,,,,,,,Brad is a smart man.
When the little woman is happy,,,,,,,😎
"It Came Out Of The Sky" is a MUST!!
"Swamp and Roll"... genius Lex. 😎
Another pretty good job of syncing live footage of John “singing” to the studio/album audio. Fun Song.
Swamp and Roll - absolutely Brilliant 😎
this song is the epitome of rock n' roll.
My first 45rpm record was CCR, " up around the bend", 1970
I love to hear lex"s impersonations they are short but oh so sweet!!!
As the wonderful Lex mentioned: It is "Swamp 'n Roll"
Nailed it! 50s rock with swamp vibes
Loved the great bass line in this one....Great to see Lex rocking out to CCR, just like we did back in the day...
I adore Lex, she is my kind of rock and roll, CCR girl. Love ya darlin.
‘Swamp 'n roll.’ That's very good :-)
Swamp and Roll!!! Love it Lex!!
Long as I can see the light, feeling blue.... 2 more songs of theirs to check out
They sounded southern. I’ve even heard them called Cajun rock, but oddly, I believe they were a Californian band.
In the 70t's this wason TV to buy this record with the
Let scream , parents hated it , great stuff

Excellent, as always. You might want to give CCR's hit "Up Around the Bend" a listen. Wishing y'all the best.
CCR is just a vibe : articulated perfectly.
I bet that was at Woodstock so many years ago! My other favorite "I Put a Spell On You" is still my favorite.
CCR's "Molina" has a really great saxophone solo in the middle, it's a banger.
Huge fan never heard it. They did a great cover of Jambalaya
@@mrb4749 Wrong, not CCR but John Fogerty solo aka The Blue Rigde Rangers (beiing a huge fan🤣🤣🤣)
CCR! Timeless with matchless style!
UP AROUND THE BEND is similar just as good. They never disappoint!!!
i heart watching Lexi's face as she watches CCR.
This was big in the late summer/fall of 1969 - the start of my senior year in high school.
That flannel and that early grunge, lol!
Brad and Lex. Great review! I like your reviews! Make sure to hear Creedence Willy and the Poor Boys.... have a great day!
Love that old time rock n roll! I always put CCR with old Doobie Brothers (pre-Michael McDonald).
I thought for sure there'd be a smile come across Lex's face with the line "someone got excited and they had to call the state militia".
I love it Lex.Swamp Roll..That's awesome..
Ramble tamble next. Love this song.
CCR PLAYLIST!! YEAH!
Hear CCR, love CCR. - Everyone.
Easily one of my top three CCR songs. The energy is off the charts, and it's just an undeniable and relentless rock and roll classic! John Fogarty is a national treasure.
Cosmo's Factory. One of the best albums of all time. Especially if you're 61, like me. They were huge in the 60's. Love them.
Cosmos Factory was their biggest selling album, 6 hits on it, it went quadruple platinum in 1970! 👍✌️
The pride of Richmond/El Cerrito Ca. !!!
Aloha, getting pumped this morning, Mahalo for this reaction...a hui hou
Got to love a band that played concerts in the clothes they showed up in, all music, no stage show. You know these guys didn't go through a wardrobe department before the show.
Nailed it...this has a Jerry Lee Lewis rockabilly vibe. With swamp. 😆
CCR has a lot of great songs with a lot of different feels. This one is the most badass rock song they ever did, imo. I love it.
This is also a great reaction.
Love Fogarty's voice. CCR are one of the greatest bands ever!
