I am currently at 425,000 miles and have yet to do a Parked re-gen. The soot level has never moved from where it was when I bought it new. I’m not sure what’s wrong with my truck or whether I’m just taking very good care of it.
It means you haven't drove through the winter snow, mountains and very much dirt roads in that year. AKA You're very lucky and or have a very consistent or dedicated route. OTR drivers that run hard will be doing regens at least 3 times a year at bare minimum.
@@HumbleHurricane I’m now at 560,000 miles. I have crossed this country east-west and north-south many times over. I’ve been in temps of -30° to 130°. So your assessment is highly inaccurate. I have found out that a properly maintained diesel system will not require a parked regen and it is an initial sign that the truck is not being serviced or maintained properly.
In the process of finding out. Idk if its this cascadia or what but driving at highway speeds isnt getting rid of the soot level. On my 2019 western star it did. However on this im at 55 mins already. In 5 minutes we'll find out or have an issue
I'm in the same boat. Been towed to my company terminals twice to get hooked to a machine to Regen. Nobody at the company shops or TA shops I've asked at knows how to make that OKAY but appear.

It means it's working as intended. Normal driving conditions should never require any parked regen, as long as the engine is working fault-free.

How long does it take to go through the regen process
Donnay Kilgore from what I’ve read it take anywhere from 20-60 min depending on how full it is I think.

Anywhere from 15 - 30 mins. I've never seen one go longer than 25 mins myself.

Can not do the manual regen is ridiculous. You are in downtown of La and the freightliner want you do the regen or highway speed.

Regen does not reduce engine reliability. The emissions system itself is keeping the truck from running right.
