Thank you. When people speak about the after treatment. I cant understand a word they say. It goes like this oh the truck cant breath and its got to many sensor, the one box is expensive and those filter going to cost you. Yep filter now are cheap than when i started, hell i seen them as low as 800 bucks. Now i understand how the system works. Now i know what to replace for prevention maintenance. I never knew about the 7th injector getting clogged. Or the lines line getting looked at. They made it seem like it was such a problem delete it. Not!
I like these videos you put out. After treatment diagnostics is something I struggle with. None of my coworkers have much experience with it. Do you have any other educational resources for this? It's something I want to learn and be able to apply at work.

Hi I have code keeps coming on. Spn 4364 Fmi 18. I have put new def doser on and drain the def tank and clean it out. Put new def fliter on and flush out all the def lines. I clean out the 7th injector. I do a force regen everything pass. But three days later the same code comes back on. The truck has 985634 on. The SCR and the DPF fliters are original. The DOC is 2 yrs old. I had all the fliters clean last yr..Maybe you can let me know where I should look next.

Then when I turned the truck off and then on , the check engine light came back with different codes. One permanent code is son 1231 fmi2. Where do I start to fix this problem. Thanks

2016 Volvo d13. 960,000 miles SPN 4364 constant since about 700,000 miles, been in shop SEVERAL times. 7 injector replaced, NOX replaced DEF filter in DEF tank replaced. DEF filter removed and baked all build up removed from DEF SYSTEM You name it it’s been replaced it or cleaned it. Check engine stays off for about 2 weeks (after parts replaces or cleaned)then right back on. Truck won’t regen on its own, manual regen once a week. Now we have SPN 5018. Truck runs great! Help, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It took about 45 minutes and it got really hot of course a check engine light came on towards the end and it said that it was a temp sensor for the DPF. The next day it was gone the check engine light went off. Does this seem normal?

I was a Car mechanic, and jumped to a Diesel Field, It is very different how things works, The Guy that introduces me to the Shop; had no Idea how to Start the Scanner Computer, nether how to Use J-Pro. Was Tough to starts, my English much.much bad, was tough to understand the words, the meanings of terminology .... but I Used Internet the way it was created for, knowledge(I think was for that kkk). After 2/3 years watching videos about Aftertreatment, Knorr/bendix brakes, Alison Transmission... I can do almost any thing, I still not comfortable when it is related to DOC,DPF, SCR, for the price of the parts, fear of bad Diagnostic and make costumer or shop pay thousand of Dollars for my mistake, I check And ask my col-worker to check and give me a second opinion on my Diagnostic, any if is it match, Goal, my Diagnostic was Right, and getting accurate. I learned a lot with your channel, there's others good too(I don't want to promove them in your channel). I wanna say thank you for your Channel, keep with that job witch is fantastic in my opinion. I got a question. I have a cascadia that cannot regen. I have to go in Wednesday to replace a sensor or something. But i do notice the truck vibrates/shutters/buzzes when applying gas at low speeds between 25-40 mph. Can a disabled regen cause this?
I have a 2013 cummins that keeps throwing code spn 4364 fmi 18... I have replaced Inlet and outlet nox sensors, new def doser injector, new def filter, fresh def fluid and fixed and cheched all exhaust leaks and the code keeps coming back. I don't know what else to do

What is a normal pressure on the differential pressure and what is considered high. I used to get a reading of 8-9. On Trk’s with 60,000 now in the last 4 months I’m getting readings of 27. I have 15 Cummings isx15 2014 too 2017. I Thank you 🙏 for time.
Jersey, sorry for the delay. If the truck has high idle time I would visual inspect differential sensor hardware, if good run regen to confirm pressures are high and if so, filter would need to be dropped for inspection. Root cause would need to be determined

Sir in india we found issue in every HAV vechile with aftertreatment system continues pop fault code of 5556 Nox conversion efficiency exist while in running condition. Please provide help to resolve it .
The aftertreatment system needs to maintain at least 420F for DEF to be injected into the exhaust stream. It is good to see at least 500F+ coming straight out of the engine to help maintain the aftertreatment system temp for proper operation of the SCR. SCR systems work more efficiently at 500F or higher.
These sensors are almost impossible to get here in my country and we do not have active emission laws, someone should help me get rid of the emissions system

D13 Volvo Oil temperature is 194-243 degrees normally. Up to 262 degrees with full load
@@TATEXPRESSINC Even on a 13k lb load or empty @ 55mph. Coolant temp @170 but engine oil temp at 235 degrees in to 30 min. of driving.

Rock P, I would recommend a complete ash cleaning and check to see if engine is creating excessive soot.

It's ok to change Cummins engine to Freightliner 2015
I would recommend swapping with similar engines to ensure correct operation.
