Just got a Prokennex Q+5 Pro (previous generation, 310g) a couple of months ago, because I have developed elbow issues. I noticed the benefits of the kinetic tech from the very first day, particularly in backhand slices (the elbow killers for me). I demoed other ~300g 100sqi rackets, all of them 16x19, and what really surprised me about the Q+5 pro (appart from the comfort) was the much better control of the very tight 16x20 pattern. I'm tempted to string it with even less tension to get a bit more power. Currently using a poly 23-22 kg (mains-cross). Considering going down to 22-21 or even lower, since it gives so much control. A fantastic racquet!
100% agree. I bought the 300g version of the Q+5 after Jonas reviewed it a couple of months back - all great except the graphic, which is simply abominable! I intend to repaint mine over winter.
Yup i love the Ki15 260 and the older 265. Nice and light. Alot of room to add weight to customize it to ur liking. Best arm friendly racquet pro kennex.
16x20 is such an amazing string pattern. If you vary a lot between top spin and flat shots there's nothing better than a 16x20... shame that there are barely racquets on the market with such a string pattern... Gravity MP is nice but needs customisation, Pure Aero VS is too stiff and Pure Strike VS is a bit too demanding for most.. ;)
Good day tennis master. Enjoyed your review and comments regarding the Pro Kenneth tennis "banana" racquets. Since transferring from wood based to synthetics material, I remember always carrying the Pro Kenneth Prima mid-size racquets,,,, I am passed 65 y/o and I still have my famous duo.... I did tested several Wilson racquets White ceramic. Javelin" and Fisher when they introduced the quinethazone shape racquet, , just to mention (few, sponsored) but I always returned to my "Prime". What can you tell me about the "Prima" Pro Kenneth tennis racquet. Thanks Cheers Guy B.
Hi, I am considering buying a new pro kennex Q+5. I read on the internet that the number 5 is for "5 grams of kinetic balls", and I want to ask you if would be better to buy a racket like Q15, which should have 15 grams of kinetic balls (but a higher rigidity)... Do you think that 5 grams are enough to solve shoulder and arm issues?
Hello fellow tennisnerds, I have been looking for the 2019 or the year before that version of this stick. The 310 version. If you know somebody please give me a heads up. Thank you in regards Marlon
@@Tennisnerd do u think this could be improved by adding weight in the handle? there is gravity pro on sale for half price and i was considering getting it but was wondering if the 100 inch headsize would be too much for a 1 hander
i am commenting on the latest video hoping you would read it ! ... i wondered why no one seems to know about the dunlops NT series, i would like to see you reviewing them in a video, there is the r( pro lite that i prefer, but sure it s not for you,, but there is the main one of the series which has 58 RA and comes in 18X20 AND 16X19.. i believe you will like it.
@@a2casius ooe, never knew that they have such a bad quality control... but since tennisnerd and many others say that the quality control is a common issue for all brands, well i don't mind really, i like the name dunlop after all haha !!
@@lotfiboutebal233 It's a bit of a crap-shoot. My four latest Dunlops were very dangerously off-spec with massive balance towards the head and significant increase in SW. To most, this much off-spec makes them unplayable.
I bought the 300g Q+5 after Jonas reviewed the three Pro Kennex racquets together some weeks back; two local coaches also recommended them, one of whom uses a PK Black Ace as does one of his clients whose arm/elbow issues are now in the past. I'd been experiencing some soreness in my forearm and elbow after trying out a Prince TeXtreme Tour 100-310 (same one Jonas also has, that has also given him some arm grief). Playing with the Q+5 for about 6 weeks now and the forearm soreness has largely dissipated - delighted! Initially found the racquet quite low powered and added about 3g of lead around the hoop, which brought up the power a bit, and also disassembled the butt cap and inserted about 7g or so of blu-tak. It's strung with Signum Pro X-Perience 17 mains; Technifibre Triax 1.28 crosses; both about 50lbs iirc. My level is, I'd say, decent intermediate / 4.0-ish. I'm playing once or twice a week. Other racquets I've tried that gave me forearm soreness include: Ezone 98-2020 (owned); Radical MP 2018 (demo'd); current Vcore 98 (demo'd); Prince TeXtreme Tour 100-310 (owned). Still intend to flirt with other sticks though. If I keep using the Q+5, it will get a new paint job over the winter - the graphic looks dreadful. Bottom line, however, is that the Pro Kennex Ki Q+5 has enabled me to keep playing when without it, I was really struggling and in pain.

I think a lot more players would give ProKennex a shot if they changed up their paintjobs to something more modern.

I have the Q+5 300g version, havent strung it yet
The black and gold was nice looking. The yellow is not awful.
Thanks for the video. Would you consider ProKennex frames to be more comfortable than Angell racquets?
Yeah, but they’re both good!
Does the older stick the dopio have the same big sound when hitting as the banana?
Jonas, I played for 3 years with ezone 98 plus. Do you think the 27.5 model can be a good replacement?
How would you compare this to the Clash 98? Aside from the difference in specs....
Is the grip length longer on the Extended version?
What make difference in string pattern? how it effect with less or more string?

Check out the black ace it's got a 55 flex
Should I get Q+5 Pro or BA 315 or Q+Tour 315 (2019) ? I'm looking for arm comfort (having minor TE now) and easy power and spin, big sweet spot.
Q+5 Pro 👍🏻
hi, great rewiev, i want to buy it, what is your code in tennis warehouse?
Based on this video, Jonas, you are getting at least reasonable topspin with this racket--more spin than I would call flat hitting.
Nice review! But where can I buy that shirt Jonas??
Explain to me how a frame has anything to do with generating spin. I thought it was more to do with the strings and also technique
It’s about the weight because if it’s less maneuverable it will be harder to move the ball with topspin
quick question for u jonas, is the gravity pro a good raquet for someone with a 1 handed backhand.
I feel it is sluggish on the one-hander and prefer the Prestige MP/Pro
