The guy in green shorts did very well but made a vital mistake at the end by trying to dodge the kick instead of catching it like he had been doing successfully throughout the match.

The most vital mistake he made was not putting any weight behind his shots. When throwing a punch he literally just used his arms. When throwing kicks he just used his legs. He was kicking and punching at his opponent, not through. Doing so made it to where he had no power in his shots so the debut fighter felt like he could advance and do whatever without being punished.

The more one can minimize their tells makes it difficult to predict them.
