Hello Eduardo, The overdrive Is the Boxed D. I suppose the one that you use depends on your driving preferences and speed. On the freeway of course use overdrive due to the high speeds. Around town when not going above 45 mph or so, I just put it in drive so that I am in a better power band to pass or suddenly accelerate. That is just my personal preference and will likely reduce your miles per gallon. Thanks for your comment and viewing my video.
@@Lmaow-bc8ym Because if you leave it in D or overdrive, the transmission will still work normally. It's a 4 speed transmission, with a lock up converter. I have two of these C-4's. I fixed this stuff all my life, and was a trainer for over 25 years. Any other questions feel free to ask.
I took the old one out two years ago. Sitting on my bar next to me right now. I have vehicles with stick shift and no clutch switch too.
Yes, I almost eliminated the need for it but changed my mind when a used one turned up for a fair price. Thanks for the comment.
Is the overdrive the boxed in D or is it the one that isn't boxed at all? Also which should you use on the streets overdrive or drive?

It does not matter.
@@DavidStierle if it didn't matter then why did Chevy add two different gear selects🧐?

Thank you!
Always nice to know that a video helped someone.
All you have to do is tear the old motor apart and put the new motor on the old bottom shaft and it will work
Tried that, did not work. Good luck if you do it.
Chuck the nonsense!
I purchased the part that worked at www.corvettesalvage.com
