Iga defensive game is something very special, her capacity to redirect balls when being attacked turning it on counter attacks often dismantles her opponents game.

Some major BS putting Coco Gauff, THE 7TH SEED, on Rod Laver Arena rather than Iga.

I completely agree in principle but, to be fair, this match was far less entertaining than Gauff's. It was over in barely an hour. If I'd paid for a top court ticket, I'd rather see a real match than watch a world number 1 humiliate a challenger player in 55 minutes. Personal opinion though, obviously :)

not really...Busca is literally a qualifier who got put up against the TOp player currently in the World. The highlights showed some good rallies from Bucsa with some decent power despite being a very thin and tall. She didnt lose because she made a ton of errors and double faults. She p;layed a great game for someone ranked 100 in the world against the Number 1. Give her a little credit. She even looked to be ENJOYING the opportunity to even be there. I watched some matches where Bucsa is playing other girl at her level and shes actually really good. She even qualified recently for the main draw at the Porsche open, beat 3 other qualifiers to get there. Plus shes known for being a top qualifier all the time.

Swiatek le ganó una final a Pliskova 6-0,6-0 , y Pliskova fue número 1, claro que era otra superficie pero pasó

cmon it was hardly a massacre. Sure score wise it was but Bucsa is like a qualifier level 100 exactly at this time (77 now) facing the Number 1 in her sport in the world. She looked nervous as anyone would be but she just came off beating Bianca Andreescu and she went toe to toe with Iga. Some nice returns from her also. She didnt get nervous and start making a ton of errors and double faults on serve just played like a level 100 would do. She didnt lose because of terrible play just lost because her normal play isnt up to beating someone with 9000 ranking points, Give the poor qualifier girl some credit. AS far as I am concerned she held her own.

yeah and against Bianca
by beating other qualifiers like herself lol its not her fault she went up against World 1 having just qualified. Watch her against people her level shes atually not bad one to look out for. Watch her play the great overhyped Coco she actually gave Coco a run. I actually got interesed in this Bucsa player because of this match (and shes so cute) and found out she just qualified for the main draw at the Porsche open going on now. Had to beat THREE other qualifiers to get there so might see her again against some better known players. Since this match shes gone from 100 in the world to 77 thats a good leap! if she can stay at this rank she wont even have to play qualifying for bigger tournaments
I was rather impressed with how well Bucsa took that even though Iga destroyed her she took it well and seemed to be having fun playing World 1 in a big tournament. Also she didnt play a bad game at all even though the score was 6-0 6-1 only ran into the worlds best player who happened to be 100 ranks above her lol. Bucsa doesnt have a huge serve at all which might be a weakness and why she didnt fare better even against the Number 1. Might have won a couple more games with a bigger serve but she has decent power on those FH returns and she is good at hitting angles and running down balls. She didnt lose today because she hit a ton of errors and faults on servce just because she was overranked. She put a fight against Iga and even won a game. Didnt cry, throw racket just smiled when the crowd cheered her on. Hope the lady gets to the higher levels
Thought I would never say this, but IMO Screamalenka is the clear favorite for the title this year. My heart is routing for Swiatek, but if she will play against someone like her or Pegula, when they keep their unforced errors rate on a low level, I see Iga nothing but sinking like the titanic once did🙊🙈😳

The reason Iga is dominating women's tennis right now is because the serve bots who are supposed to give her trouble and stretch her out have no return games. They're all big for nothing.
There are hardly any Serve Bots in Women’s tennis including Busca. She's dominating cause she is playing in a Weak Era when the best player ( Barty) abdicated her throne.

seriously! the poor qualifier girl Busca is like level 100 or someting and of couse she is going to get creamed by World 1. For Iga anythhing other than this kind of win would have been embarrasing. Busca beat Bianca Andreescu :O and she actually pushed Coco Puffs a little. I watched a few matches Busca played against other players HER RANK and shes not bad at all
