Hmm … with respect for the commenters that went before me, I think this recording, voice and guitar, sounds luscious. I am listening to this after watching a video about how some pedal can make a piezo pickup acoustic sound more natural. And this beats that “sound” by a country mile.
Very nice! I grew up in the area and worked for a year after high school in a textile mill just a few blocks from where you recorded this. That makes it doubly special!
I'm thinking it's a thirties Olympic maybe. Epi. It's so woody and subdued yet loud. I honestly can't hear it doing any chunky jazz comping after Nora's played it
Love Rawlins and welch but that's the same as playing it with a saxophone and saying that's what a saxophone is supposed to sound like..so..ok. i will rephrase, It would sound better on a different guitar :)@@achimhodde4256
Lovely ,understated yet technically brilliant performance
The feeling is most important . If awards were given for that, she would receive a lot.
You really channeled the deep melancholy of those old Tennessee hills. You are a treasure.

Hits my sweet spot. Really beautiful, Nora.
Another strong moody rendition of an old ballad. Love the low end of that guitar playing. 🎼 👏
This is really just phenomenal. Nick drake style hot summer dazed vibe. Love.

Tell us about the guitar...
What kind of guitar is that?

Apart from banjo playing, most precious part of your music is your amazing voice, so I wish it was recorded a bit better. Please.
Don’t want to seem negative but your vocals are really hard to hear. Sorry.
change the strings and put a towel inside..too metalic sounding
