- Howdy, y'all! My name is Mike and I absolutely love scavenging for free stuff, random treasures, lost valuables and other interesting artifacts. I mainly rock the dumpster diving scene but can be found digging through trash curbside as well as scavenging the river bottoms for lost treasures in the summer months. Join me on my epic voyages!

It amazes me to no end how you do your work. Very polite, always asking if you can have the metal scraps and such. Your organization skills are really top notch. I do believe you could pack half a house into your truck and still shut the tailgate.

New shelves, working drill, water cooler, tent/shelter, and some scrap. Nice haul.
What I liked about scavenging was I wanted nice stuff so I found old stuff repaired it, cleaned it and repainted it and just like that I had stuff that I wanted for free. I have sold or given away probably 50 washer-dryers that I found in the garbage, brought home and repaired using 30 other washer-dryers as donors for parts then selling the carcasses for scrap... I miss those days Mike, thanks for the videos and living vicariously through your camera. Thanks for the time in videoing, editing and ULing these for me to enjoy!

You found some really good stuff! That big grill/smoker, I purchased one In 2007 and when we moved from Houston to Austin in 2016, it was too big for our patio at the new place, so I gave it to one of my friends, and he still uses it. I did my best to keep it nice and clean and painted to keep it from rusting. A grill lasting 15 years is pretty well unheard of, unless you're really vigilant in keeping it clean.
The rest of the stuff was really nice, the water cooler and beverage coolers that work...can keep good old' Mike hydrated in the garage, and your beverages in the kitchen cool without taking up space in the fridge!
No back-breaking appliance pick-up day! LOL

@@jvjdrn I've been trying to find out what Mike uses for a few.. I think it's a state secret lol. I use a free program called openshot. It's pretty good for learning but man... it can get really laggy. I've been trying to find something else but haven't settled yet. My biggest problem is I can't afford anything right now lol.

Man I wish I was in your Market place area! A lot of awesome resale reuseable items. That overhead storage can be used in the attic, basement or anywhere you have strong bones to attach them.
Still got your spinning skills,, there's always the carnival when your scavenging skills give out, lol..
I was at Ft Leavenworth KS last week and about 1000 families were moving out en masse all week. Great curbside opportunities and we managed to keep a futon, toaster oven, printer. A ream of paper, a box of spiral notebooks, and a manual lawnmower out of the landfill.

Great to see you today, Mike. I am just chillin' here waiting on my cancer treatment. You always cheer me up. I had a water cooler/heater/mini fridge underneath for many years in my garage, then one winter it got cold enough that all the copper tubes froze and burst and it was ruined. I really miss that thing.

I have had my Weber propane grill for over 20 years. Baffles me when people throw them out.
Mine is an 11 year old 4 burner CharGrill. Used year round in Wisconsin! I keep it covered on the patio, clean it outside everytime, and clean out the inside as needed. Replaced piezo igniter and regulator once each, and I need new grids, or I can just use one of my cast iron skillets instead! Better yet, maybe if I keep my eyes peeled, I can find grids curbside!

Mike, you should adopt the ice cream truck model for curbsiding. I can just picture you rolling through the neighbourhoods with a speaker attached to Dottie, instead of playing the ice cream song, you could be playing the Sanford and Son theme song! Instead of kids running out for treats, it'd be a bunch of dads chasing you down with their scraps :)

The gladiator shelfs in the box are the type that hangs from the ceiling. The metal carts with wheels were the bottom sections to Blackstone flat top grills
