It's a SKILL. Takes a lot of hard work and practice, don't devalue their art. They didn't slide out the womb knowing how to use watercolours.

In my opinion, this is not an easy reference photo to reproduce it by painting in water color for the demarcation of the light and shadows is very subtle in terms of tonal difference. But the Master Painter has successfully brought out the overall effect with ease and mastery by mixing the flesh tones very superbly and making the brush strokes invisible. A very wonderful work!

Thank you for your nice response. In fact, I was a bit anxious how you were going to do the back ground- in a darker hue or else. But, you chose a beautiful cool middle value in sync with the flesh color of the face and white dress so as to push the figure forward.
I can’t even see the reference on my screen. I have painted watercolor portraits for many years and have change my technique many times . This is much harder than it looks . I always thought he had a master photographer that enabled him to see these colors but if he’s making it up I can’t follow it

Mix all the colors everywhere but then get the picture painted right. How? That is her MAGIC. LOVELY!
Normally a waterrcolour painting is slightly vague and leaves the viewer to use a little imagination to capture the image but this is watercolour art at another level ... amazing!

중간중간 이색깔이 맞나 갸우뚱 하다가도 완성이 되어갈수록 딱 맞는 색과 명암이 만들어지는게 어쩜 이렇게 신기할수가..... 유명한 사람일수록 조금만 다르게 그려도 어색해지는데 진짜 아이유양이 스르륵 나타나는데 소름이 돋았습니다.
