Just a tad bit of a suggestion to the Waterfront Tramway, rather than running it up and down the streets that it currently does in the newer district, have them run up the promenade on either side of the parks up to the end of the promenade and back down. Along with more frequent stops to increase ridership possibilities (and realism to Canadian and American transit spamming bus stops every block (or every other))
An idea for the tram bridge. Use road builder to make one bridge with both the train and the tram. An infrastructure project like that would probably happen around the same time(since we don’t have any old train bridge assets), so combining the two would be a great way to save space and resources. Then just have it connect on each side where there is a rail crossing. Great build either eay
I think a neat idea would be to give Linden Creek an actual creek, or maybe or dried creek? Just something to give the district some lore maybe. I love looking forward to your CS2 episodes! Really perks me up :)
Maybe you could create another tram route from the new commercial area to the train station via Franklin Boulevard. The current tram line along the waterfront doesn't serve many people, and adding another route could help relieve pressure on the Green bus line since a single bus line can't handle such a high volume of passengers.
In addition to a couple of new towns, to make the map as a whole feel more fleshed out, I suggest creating several small hamlets. Check out Pittsgrove, New Jersey for some inspiration
Not sure if you know but in CS2 you don’t need to have the trams do a loop to turn around like in CS1. They’ll turn around at the end station if you want to
I've managed to do that in some of my other cities, but for some reason they just wouldn't do that here, and I didn't want to spend ages figuring out why - so I just made some loops! :)
I haven't watched the video yet cause I'm at work but I want to say that I love your city skyline videos. This is gonna sound a little cheesy but they brighten my day whenever you post :D
Living in front of tram tracks is beside the constant plate rattling great to get to the city center quickly, so they definitely need a station over by the parking space one the way back. And separated bus routes to the tram line in the districts
The tramline by the water looks great and agree on starting a new area just to switch things up! How did you add 'sub-districts' (i.e. have all the districts fall under the Blackwater area?) is it a mod or part of the game? Maybe you should add a cornershop or a gas station in the small industrial area you added around the train depot. Just so the workers have a place to grab lunch that isn't too far away. Love this series!
Sub-Districts are done with the Anarchy Mod - just have it enabled and you can overlap them! Not sure if I recommend it though, it's tough to actually select the smaller districts, though very useful if you want a District Policy to apply to the whole city.
Love your videos especially Columbia County. I do have a suggestion, you should build a large city center across the river from black water. You can name it saint Denise. Keep up the great videos ❤
I love the look of the tram tracks and the townhouses, but you couldn't pay me enough to park there. After you removed the the roundabout at pedestrian road connection on the left, there's no way to turn around and go back out to the road on the right (by the surface parking lot) without doing a really awkward u-turn and driving up onto the curb on the lower side of the road. Compare this to the angle-parking at the left end of the pedestrian road; there, you drive in one end of the parking area and drive out the other end - no problem! Parking at the townhouses is a nightmare, though. On an unrelated note, the left end of the pedestrian road would look nice finished off with a pedestrian cul-de-sac overlooking the water.

This is such a great idea! Will try it! :)
@@ConflictNerdI like the current design, it looks very natural for the theme

Columbia County is growing rapidly and its really cool to see 😎😎😎😎

Columbia county is chilled city ever
26:32 does anyone else see a piece of broccoli or am I just really tired?
Yay you added my suggestion! :)
I remember fighting "CPU" all the time! Also, have you ever made a Diverging Diamond Interchange using Road Builder? They work very well!

A historical site off to the side thats mandated to go untouched would be so beautiful here
Blackwater needs to have big police HQ and hospital to work as main city in the county
Should make a big ole industrial zone soon with some big plants

He’s TRAMSFORMING
I love your consistency 💪
I think you should add more trees and greenery
