Ya you can zap ANYTHING with it, its just the tougher something is the more shielding it gives you. i can only assume the grunts guns and equipment is where the energy comes from.

Hell i was in a cluster of 5 titans doing nothing and one dude started a rodeo on me and not a single one of them got him off of me. Meanwhile when i start a rodeo some fucker just snipes me across the map just to help his buddy. Ive never had anyone kill someone doing a rodeo on my titan and ive never got a battery from anyone. Hell if anything my teammates just rush in front of me in a cramped space getting in the way while i use my core or offensive and then dodge an offensive or core so it hits me.

Another playstyle you could try on monarch is overcore and battery backup. If you don't use the battery for a couple Titan rounds then switch to monarch after you can get 1st core and full shield after Titan spawn
I gotta say I hate it when a Monarch main executes me with Energy Steal, because the enemy actually gains something. They can keep fighting because they just got a freaking battery. It also just becomes stale over time

@@IniquityGames I been playing the last four days or so on PS5 and its been fantastic! Servers are pretty damn stable and only takes 3-5 min to get a match. Titanfall2 has been beating Battlefield 2042 by almost double on steamcharts, lol
That was epic. I’m glad to say that I picked up the game again recently and it is very active on PSN, I don’t usually have to wait more than a minute for a match
I quit playing TitanFall 2 after they nerfed The Hemlock and Tone along with a bunch of other weapons I like but I did reinstall for the new titan monarch I sucked with it as expected then I played for a little while but got stomped on by every single player on the map so I got angry quit and uninstalled it and never came back to it
Evilotakuall945 Tone needed nerfed badly. At release it's damage output was well ahead of everything else and 90% of players were too scared to use anything else because of how OP it was.

You dont even need to be good. At least with Northstar, she kites and its annoying af, but you have to aim. Monarch = hold down the triggee
