Love it! Kinda patronising/strange interviewer - Wild Wood ahhh! Weller is a true poet and artiste. It's great to come across unseen vids such as these! Thanks
Trying to learn to play this on guitar and came across this, amongst others, during my search. I love the way this song builds and falls, gentle and hard. I agree the interview feels a little odd not relaxed, can't blame her if she was a bit in awe, love the way he can raise just one eyebrow when talking. Wonder what was going on with the segment referring to Billy Bragg and the Beautiful South..did I detect some friction there or just mates banter?
Great to see this, sort of a live demo. And on a tele as well. Like the way she got the interview going again after the song. Who is she? What happened to her?
I forgot about her on Much Music Canada back in the day. Can't remember her name but under that pseudo naivety; she knew her shit. I think Weller was surprised.
rather wierd interviewer I must say, but to be fair, she sounds a tad more clued up compared to the airheads commonly seen on outlets such as T4, Fellow British sorts will probably know exaclty what I mean...
Eek. God love Paul, he's is so very patient with Ziggy, but she's bringing up Billy Bragg and such, like Paul should be lucky to be included in his circle? Pffft. Embarassing. Great performance by my guy, though. Always makes me smile. Took the high road, here.
....Proceeds to play a stone cold classic ❤
Paul Weller in the early 90's blew my mind
Love those shoes!
Just before it all blew up and he cemented living legend status. Great barnet especially
love his voice, don't ya!!! Love ya, Paul!!!
2K's I think his voice is really good here & has got an edge to it. I think his voice now isnt as good as it was:-(
what great musician and singer song writer he has and still is, weren't we lucky to be teenagers in the 80s and he's still here at the top
Interesting that he had already written Wild Wood by the time his first solo album was released.
Would give my left arm to write a song like this. Some people surely have the talent.
What a great version of an overplayed song; my favourite era. Thanks for posting
He's got the old Jam shoes on. Who remembers wearing a pair 👍
This version is fucking astonishing...
Excellent!
Well, i actually think she gave a great interview and he responded for a change. Plus she has a great cut !
Great vid..what a find

what was the name of the interviewer?
This right here, is the birth of Britpop.
Totally agree. It's hugely indebted to him.

Who is the interviewer? Love her!
🙌🏿🙌🏿
Who is the interviewer?
I think that she did ok, as Weller just wanted to get on & play
Become a poet he is one darling read his lyrics cafe bleu
She definitely wanted Paul's third kid.
Cue.......CUE !!!!
Is it Lady Gaga's older sister interviewing PW?

Mod for it 😂
lady gaga looks alright with this hairdo...
Interviewer is creepy!
deadly
That woman ...
vocals good. guitar sounds out of tune though.
It was a new song at the time. I think it sounds better than the acoustic, a lot harsher and just better sounding.
She is stepping all over his answers. If you're interviewing someone at least let him finish the answers before you move on to your next bit.
Which video were you watching?
Not this one!
The interviewer got on my damn nerves
@marcus8768 with a wannabe copy of Paul's hairdo!!! bahahaha....freak! :D

Around that time he looks past the camera with a "I've had enough of this" desperate get me out of here look on his face! 😂

God she's bintish. I'm embarrassed for her
