I always stay flexible on dates when I can. Also, I try to arrive early to the departure gate & I let them know immediately that I’m willing to be bumped. Seems counterintuitive to not wait for any competition but grateful airline employees usually compensate me generously.
I love using Frontier Airlines. They really great cheap flights and they are continually adding routes. Also you can earn miles with them to use towards later flights.
An awesome video! Ryanair and Easyjet are definitely the cheapest ones in within Europe, but sometimes I end up booking from Norwegian to get a bit better customer service and to fly to more accessible airports.
Thanks for the video boys! I’m a senior and love to travel on the spur of the moment too. Your tips are great and I love all the new apps you mentioned. Here’s an extra tip...once I find a flight, no matter how I did it, I go into Flight Network and book it through them. They have a “price protection” guarantee which will credit back the difference in a flight if it goes down. The credit can be used on the next booking. You have to be committed to checking your flight every day to see if it went down, and sometimes it’s not much, but I have saved many times this way! My last savings was for $43 which I used against a San Diego to Boston flight, ending up costing me only $80!
Awesome video with great tips. I also like to check smaller airports for closer departures who sometimes have reasonable prices, especially if you calculate the cost of gas and parking versus having someone take you and drop you off. For instance flying out of Grand Rapids, Michigan is just a little more than flying out of Detroit but it is closer and saves me time and breaks even.
Wow! I didn't know about the private browsing thing! Thank you for the tip you guys! Oh yeah, RyanAir now flies directly to the Barcelona airport, they got rid of Girona, yay :)
Vikingsandra allegedly it even matters (at some pages at least) if you are on a windows machine or on a mac since they suppose that you are spending money more loosely if can afford a mac...
LOVED this video! I would like to add, though- a personal experience with Momondo, which I really love, but got screwed once by using it: I bought tickets from some company called Crystal Travel and they took my money and never sent me an actual ticket/boarding pass/confirmation number...only an email saying that I bought it. I had no luck trying to contact the company and had to cancel my bank card and get a new one and open a dispute through my bank to get the money back. So when finding cheap flights through third party companies, read ALL the fine print before purchasing and do a little research before you buy that ticket to avoid getting ripped off! I did a review search of the company afterward and realized I could have saved myself all that trouble. Hope this helps somebody!
Ok I already love y’all but when you guys started singing around the 12 minute mark that sealed the deal lol! Thanks for the great travel tips, nothing better than seeing a new place for a discount :) new subscriber!
Thanks for the useful tips guys ! Fav'd it and gonna rewatch the video before departing for those 4 years backpacking to make sure I get the most of it hehe ! :)
Hey thank you guys I just booked my first trip where I am going to VLOG. I booked a trip to NYC for under $200 for my wife and I. The $200 included air plane tickets and lodging for two people. I have been binge watching your content and I decided to change my youtube channel to more of a Lifestyle travel channel. Thank you so much you inspired me to really live my dreams!
vagabrothers Good choice! You'll love and will come back one more time, because in the dry season you'll get one Amazon and in the rainy season you' ll get other! :) Ps: come more times to go to Chapada Diamantina (Bahia) (just google it)
As someone who is just starting to look into travelling the world (Should have done it in my 20's), this was actually super helpful. Thank you. I picked up a tonne of websites I'll be using to plan future trips.
Aggregators don't always have the best option, multi leg and even changing airports (LGA-JFK) which is a hassle in itself. I just stick to Expedia so I also earn points to redeem on hotels. As well I try to stick with Star Alliances flights and have an Aeroplan Visa which pays for 1-2 short haul trips/yr.
vagabrothers use it all the time! It's an equivalent of RyanAir for this type of flights! Has the same policies and most times very similar price range. Amazing airline, highly recommend it! (Just booked a trip from Bulgaria to Italy for 50€ and I'm going in less than a week and a half)
Memedoze yes! I have a membership (something like 30€ for a whole year for me and one other passenger) so it takes off like 10€ of each ticket. Also I'm traveling with only a small backpack and I'm not paying extra money for baggage. But still, 50€ is pretty cheap I think? 😂
Noticed this was posted in 2017, but being a first time traveler all this info is coming in super handy. Thanks for the insightful info and now hooked on your vids!
thanks for the search in private mode tip, I just relooked at my upcoming flight the end of next month and did it in private...fare went down $350 not much to some people but that was good for me, thanks again
Great tips, I use a combination of Hipmunk and Skyscanner to find the best flights, never fails. I found a great deal, return flight to Bangkok via Dubai from London for my trip to SE Asia later this year.
So much help! Researching for my trip to Europe, I've been doing Scott's Cheap Flights exclusively. This video has given me more hope, and options, for a cheaper flight. Thank you!
That Air Help App is a great tip for some of us that fly frequently and are bound to get a delayed or cancelled flight! Thanks guys! Also I always get extra happy when you throw some portuguese into the video! 😋 hugs from Brazil!
Thanks for all the advice guys, didn't know about all of these, and they sure are useful. :) In Europe, WizzAir is another pretty cheap option though they do have some hidden costs usually involving luggage.
Yeah I have. The ticket include carry-on only and for them that means only one bag, so where most airlines allow for example a backpack and a personal handbag/laptop bag on a WizzAir flight they'd charge extra for the larger one of those, and that can cost more than your ticket sometimes. Meals and drinks are charged extra, then if you wish to book two seats next to one another that's charged extra as well. Another downside is their flights usually land on smaller airports that often aren't in capital European cities. On the other hand you can really find cheap flights, and they also offer some benefits like you can buy a year long membership for 30euros, which can bring ticket/luggage discounts for you and one more person traveling with you on future flights and group membership as well for up to five people which pays off if you are a frequent passenger. Safe flights in the future guys :)
Love from India. You were right about the cheapest flight in India which is Indigo. But during the festival season(which is quite often since India is a land of festivals) its really a battle between Indigo,GoAir and Spicejet for the cheapest flight ticket. But mostly Indigo beats other airline in India for being cheap and also a major advantage with Indigo is they have maximum number of flights flying to and fro compared to other destination. Also if you're flying to the middle east, mainly UAE or QATAR then do check AirIndia Express. It's super duper cheap airline. Hope this helps someone out there.
vagabrothers It all depends during which time of year you come to India. In the summer season that is April to May it's good everywhere but there is killing heat in Delhi and north India. Mumbai is also hot at that time. Even though is time is good for visiting most of the mountaneous regions of India like lil bit of North and Northeast India but it's not good to visit South India and Andaman and Nicobar islands. It's the monsoon there at this time. Northeast is beautiful. Jammu and Kashmir is also very beautiful but for now I can't really comment on the Srinagar and Kashmir thing as there are curfews due to terrorist threat there. Earlier it was good but still whenever you visit check the news. Madhya Pradesh (Central India) and Rajasthan is beautiful and have amazing forts and all. You can visit this area whenever you want except for monsoon (June to August). Rains ruin the travel mood. Traveling in India is sort out cheap and expensive too depending on the way you travel. AC trains are lil expensive now and non AC are cheap. But also check the airline tickets. Sometimes the airline tickets makes sense than booking AC train ticket. And if it's booking through a tatkal quota which in train which is special quota which allows you to book one day before your journey by paying extra then surely check airline tickets because in that the fares increase every second and rise way above airline tickets. So there overall best time to visit India is summer (but not Delhi at this time) and even while mid October to January. Also it's fine during winter but there gets a lot of fog in Delhi in the winter. Considering you are coming to India for some Indian food too. So in Mumbai there's a khau Galli (food street in English) and in Delhi there's Chandni chowk. PS: I don't know much about these places because I've been there when I was 7-8 years old. But food is a thing which is awesome everywhere in India. It's just that there are some special places for the really really amazing food. If you're thinking about staying at hostel then there are a lot of hostels and also couchsurfers. Also there are hotels are of all kinds cheap and worthless, affordable and ok ok, and even the expensive as sh*t. Btw I live near Mumbai and traveling internally in Mumbai can be a problem for you as the roadways traffic is too much and I doubt if you can even board a local train as the crowd is too much. PS: even I leave the train sometimes due to excess crowd. Do let me know when you are coming to India and which part of India you are visiting. I really want to meet you guys. Also please let me know if I can assist you for some traveling in Mumbai and if not it's fine but I really want to meet you guys . I hope the information I gave makes some use for your trip.
vagabrothers hey guys come to india.... love from india.. visit TAJ MAHAL, MUMBAI, BEACHES OF GOA, KERELA, WHITE DESERT( RANN OF KUCHH) AND OF COURSE HIMALAYAS
vagabrothers you guys should visit the state of Kerala and visit.national parks.and jungle safaris, or take a trip to the backwaters or if you are into history and architecture visit the temples.
Awesome video! Unfortunately I've already bought my ticket and booked air bnb's in Buenos Aires and Montevideo. Will definitely used these tips for my next vacation.
I remember that I saw one of your tweets and the location said Costa Rica. I got all excited! Thanks for visiting us, I hope that you had a great time. Pura vida!
Back then when humans existed 😂😂 I loved the fact that you categorized websites/apps according to each destination. That helps a lot. & lastly the get bumped song was hilarious 😂😂
I frequently travel from here in Mexico City to San Francisco to visit family and back to Mexico City for medical school. The Tuesday and Wednesday method still works because I have many cheap tickets going Tuesday or Wednesday.
I am glad you guys mentionned kayak. That app is a life saver. I am planning a rtw trip next year and i belive the airfare cost of 6 cities was not even 2000$ in total. Gotta love flying asian cities.
I got a private page that has 70% off retail prices. It has a lot of discounts on flights, hotels, rental cars, and cruises. Best part is that is free and I use it all the time . If you want to i can give you access to the page
Man, those are REALLY GREAT tips!!! I have been a frequent flyer all over the globe for years and there are some tips here that I didn't know and make certain flight booking experiences make perfect sense now! Won't make this mistakes again!
In the UK at least, buy your tickets from the machines at the station, not from the person at a counter or on the train. It will be cheaper and quicker. Also abuse Family packs, if there are 4 of you travelling, buy a family ticket, as its only £1 extra for every "child" on top of the original price, buying at a machine allows you to do this.
Train tix in the uk go onsale 90 days in advance, so if you know when you're going and where to, set a reminder in your phone to buy your ticket at the 90 day before travel mark. Also, if you just want cheap travel in the U.K., check out national express and megabus, they're uk coach companies who are usually a lot cheaper than the train.
I love using southwest because they don't charge to exchange. So if you buy a flight but then see it cheaper, you can "update" your flight with the exact same flight info and get money back that you can use towards a future southwest flight within one year. Combined it with points last year and paid a round trip to Chicago and covered one way to Minneapolis.
Wow, you guys have really captured some of the spirit of Brazil in that song! Unfortunately Azul is not that cheap anymore (at least not for flights within Brazil, for their flight between Sao Paulo and Orlando maybe it still is), probably the best bet for budget flights within Brazil would be Gol and Avianca. I loved the Pan Am T-shirt, I have flown Pan Am a couple times (yes, I´m this old...)
Jetstar does have cheaper flights but you are pretty much guaranteed to have a super delayed flight. One time air New Zealand had a later departure time than jet star but air New Zealand still left first
My head is spinning. So much info. So many links to check out. Damn you, Vagabrothers. You even managed to weaken my resolve to never watch a Games of Throne episode.
Love how informative your videos are! I always learn something new. Definitely going to use these tips when I book my ticket next week. Thanks for the awesome videos :D
Google flights 👨✈️👍 anyone else ever spend the night in the Prague airport? (I do not recommend Iceland Air, they charge on flight for meals and ear phones - credit card only).
+jumanjiwarlord got to come prepared with those airlines. But food at the airport, bring water and head phones. Haven't slept in Prague Airport but making a video about how to survive overnight layovers
jumanjiwarlord I loved Iceland Air. Their service was great and the flight was comfy. Granted, we flew for only 5 hours at night so we slept and didn't need food but knowing that they charge for things like that at least you can be prepared.
jumanjiwarlord i slept there lot of times, just avoid ground floor sknce there are many homeless people (it depends om the season of course) so go to the departure hall and sleep there, seats arent that confortable though since they have separators every three seats, or you can just sleep on the ground, anyway its not that noisy and i slept in worse airports (cologne to say one), but if you have flight at for example 6 in the morning try to catch tne last night bus
You guys ROCK! I've only been to 45 countries so far. Looking to do an ATW trip next! More videos about ATW trips would be great! You are so entertaining and give great info!! Thanks so much!
Great video guys!!! One more low cost company for europe is Volotea and the experience was much better than e.g Easyjet or Ryan- I flew from Marseille to Napoli one way for 5 euros! Awesome right? :)
John LK stay the fhcking away from that scam spanish airline omg, worst service evere, there s no point for it to exist in europe since wizz easy and ryan offer waaaaaay better service
Currently I live in S.Korea and Google Flights is not available in this country yet. However, Kayak "Explore" option works and it is awesome!! Thanks for the tips...my options have expanded!! Cheers!
Going for summer in Mauritius has always been my dream but could not due to financial issues until hdaneenterprise got me a cheap flight ticket and I fulfilled my dreams .
Thank you for the tips. I am too old to understand anything but cookies you bake so, I really appreciate your thoughts on the cookies in computer chip memories.
I used to want cheap flights but now I don’t. Here is why. Pilots and plane mechanics and air traffic controllers are extremely trained and experts. Our lives are on their shoulders and they deserve great wages and our praise. A better place to cut back on costs would be to not pay over $75. Per night For a bed and room that you’ll hardly be in because you’ll be busy seeing the country.
Pilots are well paid. Paying a lower amount on a flight doesn't mean they aren't getting paid. It just means you aren't getting overcharged. You're actually paying a fair price when you pay a lower price...
I'm in the process of looking for flights from Johannesburg, South Africa to Los Angeles, so thank you for this! It's an extremely long flight so I'm trying to break it up and am finding your tips are super helpful 😁
I booked a one way SFO-Barcelona for $280 on LEVEL all in with luggage meals drinks and seat assignments for a 3 week cruise around the Med and back to Tampa. Then I found a Southwest Flight for $148 from Tampa to San Jose which was the same as a Basic Economy Ticket without seats or luggage. I went on Kyak and then went and booked it on Iberia. The cruiseline wanted double!
for the getting bumped, I guess you have to be a white first-world-country citizen to be able to claim a high compensation... too bad if you look asian and even worse have an asian accent LOL
Been traveling for 20 years. The best time to fly is Tuesday, Wednesday and usually Thursday.
And when is the best time to book the tickets ??
@Jxols thank u for taking the time to reply 😊😊
This is glorious, I been tryin to find out about "find cheapflights" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Beyarper Peyameron Process - (just google it ) ? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my work buddy got amazing results with it.

I'm from Costa Rica and it was really cute what you guys said about my country. Thanks and pura vida!!
I flew Ryanair from Wroclaw to Warzaw and back for 5€ still dont really know how it happened but yeah, amazing trip!
Lmao Ryanair can be so cheap wtf thank god for us Irish lol
@@Anthony.462 that's true I love Irish people just cuz off Ryanair I went to 12 countries in Europe it's really cheap
monsss s nice!
An awesome video! Ryanair and Easyjet are definitely the cheapest ones in within Europe, but sometimes I end up booking from Norwegian to get a bit better customer service and to fly to more accessible airports.
Any video for people that never really flown before? (booking, airport, process etc.) You guys are awesome!
+Alan Lopez yes!! Got a first time traveler video coming up soon!
vagabrothers Yessss!!! Thank you so much! I want to start traveling for the first time pretty soon, but I'm scared
vagabrothers Fantastic! Keep up the splendid work boys!!
Don't worry man, everything is scary the first time, and remember nobody was borned knowing how to do things, people learn from making mistakes.
Just keep asking people that work in the airport
Great tips! I've used Norwegian air 3 times now and it does the trick, cheap flight to Europe from LAX. Last time I paid $349 roundtrip!
Awesome video guys
+Lost LeBlanc 🤙🏽🤙🏽 thanks dude! You going to Buffer this year?

Funny, I'm looking at this video while visiting in Costa Rica🌋🏝
+Leona Mayo enjoy the Pura Vida Leona ✌🏼
I remember that I saw one of your tweets and the location said Costa Rica. I got all excited! Thanks for visiting us, I hope that you had a great time. Pura vida!
Back then when humans existed 😂😂
I loved the fact that you categorized websites/apps according to each destination.
That helps a lot.
& lastly the get bumped song was hilarious 😂😂
Glad you enjoyed the humor and our blossoming music career hahah
vagabrothers haha 😂✌🏻
Keep up the good work 🙌🏻
I frequently travel from here in Mexico City to San Francisco to visit family and back to Mexico City for medical school. The Tuesday and Wednesday method still works because I have many cheap tickets going Tuesday or Wednesday.
Great information! It was new to me that you should contact the airline directly though. I will do that next time :D
I am glad you guys mentionned kayak. That app is a life saver. I am planning a rtw trip next year and i belive the airfare cost of 6 cities was not even 2000$ in total. Gotta love flying asian cities.
I got $1000 for my delayed flight to Cologne. No joke, thanks airhelp !!
I got a private page that has 70% off retail prices. It has a lot of discounts on flights, hotels, rental cars, and cruises. Best part is that is free and I use it all the time . If you want to i can give you access to the page
I found the low fare calendar on Southwest helpful. I got a round flight from Buffalo, NY to Costa Rica for $350
Just tried one app and I’ll save 700 bucks but it’ll take 67 hours to reach my destination, hooray savings!!🎉🎉
Awesome video. Starting to really get immersed in travel and have so many questions. This is 👌
Now THIS is helpful content thank you so much omg!!💗💗 new subscriber!💗
So glad the video helps Danna! Welcome to the channel! So much more to check out 🤙🏽
Man, those are REALLY GREAT tips!!! I have been a frequent flyer all over the globe for years and there are some tips here that I didn't know and make certain flight booking experiences make perfect sense now! Won't make this mistakes again!
Great video! Question though: do you have any hacks for cheap train ticket prices in the UK? Or Europe in general?
Great question Leann! We will brainstorm and get back to you soon!
vagabrothers what about tips for trains in the US?
Flixbus is an option.
Thankyou so much guys. As a poor student, it really helps to know other local airlines
Lots of great tips/ websites, thanks !
+Cristian Sandoval cheers Cristian!!
Have you seen our video about the Pan Am Experience??
Not yet but I will look for it and let you know my feeling about it.
Thanks guys! I’ve been traveling more and slowly learning how to find better priced flights, this video was helpful!
OMG! That Aussie accent :') Probably one of the more convincing ones I've heard tbh
+Erin Shay Horrigan hahaha goodaye 😂✌🏼
vagabrothers it's exactly what I sound like ;)
What a great video. Already sending it to all of my travel buddies. Super Super helpful.
your 10k dollars song is so funny XD
+yunalesca1230 hahahah been practicing on those freestyles skills
I travel a good deal and felt like I had some of these tips in the bag but your video was wildly full and informative. Thanks and keep it going bro's!
Love your vids ❤ keep them coming
+JoshTheViking thank you Josh!
Great tips. We have been using every single one of these, and more, since we started traveling.
Jetstar does have cheaper flights but you are pretty much guaranteed to have a super delayed flight. One time air New Zealand had a later departure time than jet star but air New Zealand still left first
Hahaha yikes!!!
+Nikki Nguyen awww thank you so much Nikki! Glad we can help you get out and explore :)
Really helpful!! I'm from Brazil and I'm sure that I will use the tips to travel more!! Thanks!
What I want is a link to that bump it up song 😂😂😂
+theonlyLorettayouknow hahaha
I can watch you all day! Thanks for the tips 🙏🏼
Hey guys love your videos..Got you guys are couple of magazine subscriptions..Outside..and Wine Spectalor..Hope you Enjoy...
+Roger Fischer hahah what so cool dude thank you so much :)
This was extremely helpful! Hopper was exactly what I was looking for, and the bumping is awesome too🤩
Google flights 👨✈️👍 anyone else ever spend the night in the Prague airport?

5 Euro flight!!! So crazy!!!
John LK stay the fhcking away from that scam spanish airline omg, worst service evere, there s no point for it to exist in europe since wizz easy and ryan offer waaaaaay better service
bruhhhh!!!
This is madness:O I'm checking this now ...
I like you guys you are making my life mutch more easy (
One of the most informative traveling videos I have seen. Subscribed
I used to want cheap flights but now I don’t. Here is why. Pilots and plane mechanics and air traffic controllers are extremely trained and experts. Our lives are on their shoulders and they deserve great wages and our praise.
A better place to cut back on costs would be to not pay over $75. Per night
For a bed and room that you’ll hardly be in because you’ll be busy seeing the country.
And friend and I got bumped up to business class because they oversold our seat!
Come to Puerto Ricooo 🇵🇷😉
+Bárbara F queremos ir!! 🙌🏼
Yes please!
I would love to
Bárbara F I call it the Hawaii of the East!
Here I thought this vídeo was gonna be just a common clickbait. But stand ovation for you, great advices!👏👏👏
Kiwi.com is the best for cheap flights, I have tried all the websites they have mentioned and Kiwi always beats those!
Hell no, you guys are on drugs. Stop trying to promote your own company. You are $200 higher than tripadvisors cheapest from mde to las.
thanx a ton, your tip on google flights just saved me about $1000 per person for my group trip to thailand
WOW is no longer in business, you guys.
video was published in 2017
VampiraVonGhoulscout- Video is from 2017
That sucks, that was my go to to Amsterdam
Dope video! Definitely using this when I move back to Japan in Fall and vlog about it (again)
Nothing on Africa you mentioned everything else
Yes, They mention Morocco but not Cape Town!
Awesome list of links guys. Thanks for sharing this.
You didn't mention any apps for Africa, why? 🤔 we travel too, you know!
watermelon spot right!!!
Morocco and Ghana 2018
Is my desire - God willing !
Great video guys, Thank you 😁
for the getting bumped, I guess you have to be a white first-world-country citizen to be able to claim a high compensation...
too bad if you look asian and even worse have an asian accent LOL
I just found you guys, and I love your videos! I want to travel to Europe before the year is out, so this is really useful info!
