Possibly the greatest performance at the Tonys--ever! And that's saying something! Masterful control, huge range, power, pitch and passion you can feel that sets you vibrating. This is not a piece to be interrupted. Find it on TH-cam and surrender to it!
I got to see Paradise Square on Broadway and listening to Joaquina singing this song live made me have an out of body experience! She was amazing and she cried even more! 💫The whole cast were amazing! 💫The choreography was 11/10! 💫I feel lucky to have experienced this moment in Broadway history! ❤🔥
My sister took me to see Paradise Square 2 weeks before it closed . By the end of the show I was sobbing uncontrollably. I was saddened to learn that the show was closing. This show was amazing!
she also had just performed Paradise Square right before the Tonys, she's on the verge of cracking because of how much stress her voice has already been through that night with no rest
Dear Lauren - I was one of the lucky one that sow this show no 1, no 3 but 7 times.... it was amazing just to see Joaquina Kalukango singing Let it burn ... on your channel again ...
I feel blessed that I was able to see this magnificent show. It is sad because of the machinations going all stage affected all the wonderful creatives who gave it their all on stage. The Story was timely, beautifully told and directed by a magnificent ensemble. By the time that she sang let it burn, the audience was reduced to tears as well as well deserved wild applause .
I saw her twice in the show--she clearly couldn't hear well at the Tony's...the fact that she gave this performance with such a cut of the song...OOF WHAT A LADY!
I saw Paradise Square eight times and the Tony performance was by far her worst. Probably because it was not her orchestra or stage and it was out of context and normal flow of the show. Looked like nerves too. In person, in the show, this song was beyond electric, the single best performance i have ever seen on Broadway, and I've been to about 50 shows. Tears streaming down her face eight times out of eight and a two three minute Standing ovation eight times out of eight. Just astounding!
Agree she was amazing. I saw in Chicago and twice on Broadway she killed it every night. Still the tony performance even with the minor vocal faults is still a top 10 of all time!
What a voice, right? Wow. Just as an FYI, Home Free has released a new video, 'So Long Dixie', which is the title track of their new album. Give it a listen, you'll love it!

She held that note at the end for 18 seconds
This performance makes me cry every time too haha 😅😂😢😊

I saw this in Chicago, pre Broadway. It was one of the best moment in the play. The crowd was clapping for like 3 mins

Goodness gracious. I’ve never heard someone say so much and yet say nothing.
